Thanks for the review. Been using the Mercury Card Fold Jig for eight months. All of my "regular" gig decks get this treatment. Expensive, yes. However, accurate and simple to use.
Nice review David. I don't own this particular device of Eoin's, but I do own his bisector for which I use for scoring cards perfectly. I like Lamanski's (sp?) Bullet also. The accompanying DVD that comes with it is chock full of tricks/moves. I also loved your Mercury fold as part as your overhand shuffle. Keep them coming. Thanks.
Glad the review was helpful
Great video, David.
Card scoring is an overlooked aspect of card magic.
I just got into making gaffs, and scoring correctly is so crucial. I've had to throw out so many cards for not being exact. This is a solution I was looking for.
I'll most likely pick up The Bullet for the time being and then upgrade to this.
Thanks again, David!
Another fantastic video.
Congratulations on the viewership. I am looking forward to your goal.
I meant 5k! Thanks Thom!
Never heard of it, thank you for the review ⭐️
You’re welcome
I use the Bullet it does the job for me.
Hi Don, I have been using the bullet for years but lately I have been too lazy to pre score my cards, I feel like my cold is ok even if it’s not perfect :)
that last cop you did was superb
Fantastic review and performance 🤩
The “Wisch-Fold” is a much better alternative to the mercury fold that does not need any jig or pre-scoring of the cards to look natural. Dorothy Dietrich yelled out that it was “Diabolical!” In front of a packed crowd at Fantasma Magic in NYC in 2019. It is featured on Bill Wisch’s “Killer Set” DVD set on his “X” box effect.
The Wisch-Fold looked really good in Bill Wisch's hands... I never attempted to learn it and suspect that it would take a lot of practice to be able to look half as natural as he did.
I own Eoin Ohare Jigs, I rarely use them anymore but they are built to last a lifetime and Surprisingly enough Shipping from Ireland wasn’t as bad as I thought, I haven’t made any Gaff cards in over a year but the quality is very good.
Shipping if free worldwide
@@theperfectshuffleYes it was free but also the shipping time was fast on all of my orders. 👍
I am still using all of mine…
Nice review 😊😊
Thanks Robert.
I was burning you on those folds. Top stuff.
Thanks!
Thank you for walk through. How long did it take to master the fold?
Not long at all.
Your card control is impressive; what method are you using, please.
Thanks 🙏 send me an email…
Do you score the whole deck?
Only if I am using it in a specific way with another diabolical tool. For most card effects - I find that just 4-5 cards is more than enough to classic force one of them.
Better to use Perfect Score by Jon Allen, at least he isn't a gouging conman like O'Hare.
Tom, I was going to laugh off this comment, but seriously, calling me “a gouging conman”!!, in a public forum is simply not true.
I design, make and promote my own devices , I do this for a living. My audience is a small subsection of a very small subsection of professional magicians. I make individual devices in hundreds not thousands of items. They are highly specialised! Therefore ,I will charge whatever price I feckin want. I think it’s fair.
The “conman” part is not only totally untrue but defamatory.
@@theperfectshuffle before our last interaction, I had assumed you were just an honest manufacturer and the shiny object syndrome that most magicians have was why so many people who don't need professional jigs were buying them. I used to strongly defend you. The thing that changed my mind was you yourself when I said that and you made it very clear where you stood on the matter. Looking at the upvotes suggests I'm not the only person who doesn't approve of your business model.
Not sure why you would call him a conman but I am the first person to call out ANYONE that sells rubbish or garbage. Regardless of whether people think that these devices are overpriced, they are made impeccably well and have stood the test of time (which is why I think they are worth the price). The first one I purchased years ago- the Stripper Jig is still working as good as the first day I received it and I have used it to make at least 200+ gaff decks (many for other people). Obviously you don't have to agree that the device is useful to you but it really is top tier when you compare it to what else is out there.
@@UnbiasedMagicReviews I'm not talking about the build quality, my issue is they are being actively marketed to people who don't need them as essential must own tools. As I said above, I originally put this at the feet of people with more money than sense listening to bad advice, the thing that changed my mind (also as stated above) was Eoin himself, and the fact he found people spending hard earned money on tools they don't need hilarious. Out of respect for this channel, I'll not comment further on the matter but 100% stand by what I have already said.
@@MexieMex The upvotes are indeed interesting, in the very small community we have your totally unfounded claim of ‘conman’ seems to have had an influence on a number of people. And I have no doubt your comments will continue to influence others. This may affect my business. Please provide evidence you claim in your comments or remove them and apologise.
