Jenny Hughes thank you. I posted I new video of how mixing color clay. I showed the fired pieces so you can get a idea of the colors. Check it on my RUclips channel if you are interested
Thanks so much for posting this! I really enjoyed watching you work, and how you spelled out the steps. I work with polymer clay and am very inspired by your beautiful work.
I enjoyed seeing the different techniques for making these wonderful patterns. I did some research to see some finished Nerikomi pieces and they are quite beautiful. Very inspirational for polymer clay artists. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! I will film another one on this weekend, probably could finish the editing by next week. I posted a video about repeated pattern with the same technique yesterday, you can watch it on my channel, hope you will like it❤️
Andrea Johns thank you for telling me. And you are right about it. The colorant are toxic and I should have wearing gloves when I using them. Thank you!
Andrea Johns hi Andrea. I made a new video of how to do the Triaxial blend test. And I was wearing gloves lol. Check it on my RUclips channel if you are interested
Hola!
Stewart Liversidge thanks. I was using the colorant that I bought in Jingdezhen China. I mixed with several different colorant to get the right color. I would post another video about making testing pieces in few weeks.
I love this! I've been trying to do something similar (less patterned though) with different coloured gres but when I try and smooth the slab the colours always smudge :( which I don't mind but I'm trying to do something nice with it not to make it look too random. Thanks for the video very soothing 🕊️
Also, once the piece has stiffen a little, you can scrap the muddled surface off with a metal rib or scrapper. This will remove a thin layer and reveal the pattern more clearly.
Oh! I wish there were… instructions, definitions or just some kind of explication as to what you were doing. It looks so interesting but it’s like listening to someone from a different planet read bad poetry….and there are no translations or descriptions or instructions as to what you are doing… FRUSTRATING
Your videos are a pleasure to watch. They are beautiful in their simplicity. I love watching you work. Thank you
Very beautiful, I love those colours together, thank you - I look forward to seeing the finished work (as Beatriz also wrote, below).

So Cool. Are the colorants stais or just oxides?
とても、いいです。土は何を使ったらやりやすいですか?
Thanks you so much :D
Could you explain the ratio between clay and colours oxides? And do you apply engobes or just oxides? Thanks
What colors do you recommend, where can I get them?
Why did we not see final product?
Hermosp trabajo!!. Me gustaria saber como va horneado... si lo terminan con algún esmalte 🤔🤔
Hi is this porcelain? And what is used for the colourant?
I think some of those stains are toxic and can be absorbed through the skin. The technique is amazing. When I try it I’ll wear surgical gloves.
Andrea Johns thank you for telling me. And you are right about it. The colorant are toxic and I should have wearing gloves when I using them. Thank you!

FYI (hope this helps) if you cover the coloured clay with another cloth prior to rolling it out, may eliminate colours smudge.
Also, once the piece has stiffen a little, you can scrap the muddled surface off with a metal rib or scrapper. This will remove a thin layer and reveal the pattern more clearly.
Very interesting but se cannot see a final work
Beatriz Cortez de Keller thanks! I will post a new video in few weeks and you can see the fired work in that video.
