    I think some of those stains are toxic and can be absorbed through the skin. The technique is amazing. When I try it I’ll wear surgical gloves.

    • @honghong1827
      @honghong1827  5 лет назад +8

      Andrea Johns thank you for telling me. And you are right about it. The colorant are toxic and I should have wearing gloves when I using them. Thank you!

    Hola! Muito obrigada por mostrar o processo desde a mistura da argila. Tenho uma pergunta, tomara que seja possível responderla. Sobre a argila e pigmentos que voce utiliza, trata-se de argila comum, ou é porcelana? Gostaria muito de poder tratar a ceramica que recolectei para deixarla com essa qualidade. Seria possível explicar ou fazer um video sobre como preparar a massa de argila para deixar nesse ponto? Muito obrigada!!

    • @honghong1827
      @honghong1827  5 лет назад +2

      Stewart Liversidge thanks. I was using the colorant that I bought in Jingdezhen China. I mixed with several different colorant to get the right color. I would post another video about making testing pieces in few weeks.

    I love this! I've been trying to do something similar (less patterned though) with different coloured gres but when I try and smooth the slab the colours always smudge :( which I don't mind but I'm trying to do something nice with it not to make it look too random. Thanks for the video very soothing 🕊️

    • @donnam472
      @donnam472 3 года назад +1

      FYI (hope this helps) if you cover the coloured clay with another cloth prior to rolling it out, may eliminate colours smudge.

    • @theabristlebroom4378

      Also, once the piece has stiffen a little, you can scrap the muddled surface off with a metal rib or scrapper. This will remove a thin layer and reveal the pattern more clearly.

    Oh! I wish there were… instructions, definitions or just some kind of explication as to what you were doing. It looks so interesting but it’s like listening to someone from a different planet read bad poetry….and there are no translations or descriptions or instructions as to what you are doing… FRUSTRATING
