    The haters gonna hate. At the end of the day Orthodox Judaism is rich and gives your life meaning. Obviously it goes without saying that people shouldn't walk up all in your face with negativity. That's disgusting. But why throw the baby out with the bath water? I wish everyone the best in this video!! Bracha veHatzlacha!

      Jane Doe 1 I'm not a woman 2 women and men are allowed to learn whatever they want in Judaism especially nowadays when everything is accessible to all 3 please tell me the folio of Talmud that says what your saying. It doesn't exist 4 Judaism is of the oldest religions practiced exactly the same for 1,000 's of years which the 2 major religions are based on. So clearly not a 'cult'

      smag61306 really? So everyone who goes off the derech is a hater?? Maybe Judaism makes your life rich but can't you accept that it does not do that for everyone? Sounds like you're the one hating.

      smag61306 Oh and FYI orthodox Judaism and it's predecessors have changed immensely over the years. Judaism has always been influenced by the surrounding society and culture. But maybe you think Moshe Rabebu..Avraham etc all wore black hats...

    I was born secular, only my mother is jewish. When I was 3 years old, my mother took me to the lebovitch rebbe to get a dollar to one day become torah observant. When I was 18, I studied in a chabad yeshiva for 2 years and have been observant for 15 years now. The problem is the FFB system is flawed, those in it run to taste the outside world, and us baalei teshuva who have been sunken in tumah run to taste the sweetness of torah. Then ironically, in the community nobody takes us seriously. It all stems from misunderstanding.
    The reason I believe moshiach never came, is that instead of loving each other, we only used the torah as some kind status to judge each other with. Who cares is somebody is a talmid chochom, or an am haaretz? he is a jew, and we should love him. Who cares if he is rich or poor? But sadly, we are more judgmental that the outside secular world. I love the torah, and i know it is the truth, but the community has let me down, and it is a struggle i deal with every day. I would really like to speak to some of these people and try to show them what people like me sacrifice just to be connected, and they were handed it on a silver platter and they throw it away. It is so sad.

    Did the old man know that wearing a yarmulke is not a positive mitzva but only a strong custom called a minhag?

    • @RafaelJasonRafiHecht
      @RafaelJasonRafiHecht 5 лет назад +3

      The Mishna Berura states a male should always wear a yarmulke and tzitzis, so it's a strong minhag that has developed into a quasi-halacha. Still, the old guy should have minded his own business.

    I disagree skirts are cuter on girls than pants because its feminine. As a girl who also left hs early because of something to do with religion i ended up becoming mo and i really dont care what people say about me anymore and i will be marrying a religious guy while living a nice open mo life. the problem with people who go completely OTD is like how the guy said in the video they dont end up becoming doctors. This is one of the biggest reasons why im still religious.

    Understand that all Orthodox Judaism denominations share cult traits some denominations more than others. It is not our fault we were born into a cult. But you can get out of a cult and it is not easy. Maybe a good approach is lay low, arm yourself with a good education and then hopefully a good job.

      To all those who are struggling with Judaism: I know it's hard to resist the temptations but you can overcome it, and live life in order to serve G-d. The secular world and Hollywood worships superficiality and physical pleasures. But life is so much more than that. Everyone wants a purpose, And what's a better purpose than finding the G-dly force in everything, using everything for its purpose. The more you become connected to G-d, the more happy and fulfilled you'll be. And every single Jew, no matter what they've done, has the potential within him/her to connect to G-d and serve Him. It may feel good to let go of all the restrictions and live life "freely", but it's only temporary. At the end of the day, is eating a cheeseburger or having a boyfriend/girlfriend going to make you happy? Does it give you purpose and meaning in your life? Ask yourself: what do I really want? A man who was struggling with his Jewish observance once asked the Lubavitcher Rebbe: "Where is G-d?" He said: "In a tree, in a stone, etc." "But where is He really?" the man continued. "In your heart, if that is what you mean," the Rebbe replied. The man started to cry, realizing that this was the answer he had been looking for. Slowly he returned to Judaism. He started putting on Tefillin every day. And today, he is a religious Jew with 4 children.

      Chavy Konikov the question is WHY should I overcome the temptations? Why should live my life following the belief system of men thousands off years ago? If it's all made up where is the meaning?

    They dont see what they are throwing away. The rebbe said to my friend who became religious and joined lubavitch that she found truth beauty and happiness.
    in judaism.
    Its a shame these people did not live in the time of the rebbe. If they had spoken with him they would not have left. Just because lightning doesnt come down to hit them when not keeping shabbos or eating non kosher doesnt show that it doesnt matter what they do.
    There is no real happiness except in living a torah life

    • @mesfromusa
      @mesfromusa 4 года назад

      This attitude - "no real happiness except in living a torah life" - means that even if every Jew on earth lived a torah life, less than .2% of the world's population is really happy? Really? And you know this how?

She didn't have a problem if they would look up an answer and get back to her...but they weren't getting back to her. Besides for people who have honest questions and seeking honest answers the reality is that there are no answers. I've heard them all. In the end it always boils down to 'you just need to believe' really? Why?

    What is very apparent is that these kids are all lost and confused about life. It's really very sad. That girl that says most of her siblings are not religious, how sad for her parents. Most of what they say is ridiculous and simply a lame excuse to go on their own path in life with as little guilt as possible. The fact that she says they weren't allowed to ask questions is just so nonsensical. The whole religion is based on debate, searching and seeking truth with questions. It's their life so it is up to them but I hope they all wake up one day.
