I don’t remember if there is a drum cam of it, but one time Rev got very drunk and arrested the night before a show. The cops maced him to detain him. Then when they were playing the next day, he never showered. So he started sweating during the show and the mace got in his eyes again, and he basically played the show blind… legend 😂

I was a child prodigy, becoming a pro drummer at 13. My roots are jazz but I ended up in a prog metal gig. Big tours. Record deal. Yada.
The reason I bring this up is to lend credence to what I'm about to say. Rev was the superior drummer. He could do everything Joey could do but with greater precision. Joey was sloppy more often than not.

This was not the first Avenged Sevenfold I heard, but this was the one that won me over. Especially the lead guitar. Holy shit Syn went hard on this one back in the day.
I was 10 years old in 2008 when i first heard it,my big bro put it into my alarm clock and I heard this every day for about 4 years.

Thing about Avenged Sevenfold is, it's a biblical name, based off Cain's punishment given by God after Cain killed Abel in Genesis 4. And as a point in fact, one of the early Avenged Sevenfold albums had a song called "Chapter Four" that was about Cain killing Abel in the Bible.
"The Beast and the Harlot" is actually based on verses in Revelation. The "Beast" is thought to be the world political system, while the "Harlot" is actually thought to be entities in the economy that have sold out moral principles in favor for pretty much doing anything for a dollar.
