And in season 3 there is foreshadowing, where they talk about the ocean and them both that one day they will find each other again when time is right. Cause like nina said gaston was part of her past cause she was with him for a long time but like whenver someone asked her if she moved on she would say no and she said he important part of her life and she could never forget him. She said that at the moment she loves him as a friend but only cause she is dating that other guy at that moment and she would feel bad to disrepsect eric cause like its obvs she never fell out of love for gaston and is still madly in love with him but she dating eric was to get over gaston which obvs did not work as she still gets nervous talking about gaston and she still gets flash backs. she and gaston still love each other and are friends until time is right so they can be together again (that is what gaston said during their breakup) so nina said she saw him as a friend cause she probs doesnt want her friends to realise she still has feelings for him and also she doesnt want to disrespect eric. So nina will go to oxford and seees gaston and they will be together again after a year apart. (Gaston in the breakup said something about how its not over forever and that if somehow they will find and be together once again). And when gaston graduates from oxford and nina is in her final year of oxford they both would have also matured by then and distance wouldnt matter a lot to them as they have grown a lot as people.
I absolutely love the blindfold dance scene, it just gave me strong Cinderella vibes (actually the whole Felicity thing gave me Cinderella vibes). But just the act of respecting someone's privacy whilst still sharing a moment together is *chefs kiss*
I was really sad that these two never got back together in the end of the series 😭 Nina and Gaston were always so cute together and they seem to the type to have a healthier relationship among everyone. I do like Eric, he is really sweet and nice, but he deserves better because it just felt like Nina is forcing herself to reciprocate Eric's feelings for her and when they got together, it felt odd. Also, the look of happiness in Nina's eyes when Gaston called while she was with Eric, shows that if Gaston came back, she would choose to go back to Gaston.
Because Nina still loves Gaston, and Gaston still loves Nina. They still can't imagine life without each other, but they are apart because a long-distance relationship is too difficult. It's obvious they want to be together again, and Nina would dump Eric for Gaston with almost no second thought.
what made me even more upset with their breakup is that they tried to sell nini and eric even when gastón was still in the picture. the scene of luna asking what was going on with nina and eric when she was still with gastón just felt so weird and out of place. then after the breakup they had the girls constantly push eric onto nina and she would shut that down and bring up her feelings for gastón. and i understand that they were trying to help her move on and looking out for her but throughout the first 50 episodes it all felt so one sided with a genuine platonic friendship from her side and her constantly bringing up gastón and rejecting eric’s advances. so it ended just feeling forced and that she is giving him a chance so she could move on from gastón than truly liking eric. if gastón had come back it’s obvious she would have chosen gastón and that’s the main reason i can’t get myself to like niric because he feels like a place holder than an actual love interest. better yet, he felt like the xavi of s3 even though he was the endgame love interest.

I've never seen this show, but this video has me convinced that someone on the Disney team is actually allergic to wholesome relationships, and so they're obligated to bring in some nonsense to break every one of them up, while making endless excuses for the toxic couples (or just never fully committing until it's too late, like in GMW). At least college is a reasonable (if seriously overdone) reason for them to break up, instead of having one of them 180 into a terrible person, or introducing trust issues, like Netflix does with their YA movie series for some reason...
In spanish soap operas, it's customary for the couple to go through a lot of drama before actually getting together. Spanish soap operas are usually aired every day and in order to keep you coming back everyday, they need drama, and a happy couple is boring. So they drag it out as much as possible.

As someone from Argentina who never saw Soy Luna when it was on air (Because I grew with Violetta and felt like it was some kind of replacement when actually it wasn't like that) I have to thank you for making me give it a chance! I was fan girling during the entire video except at the last chapter. I could not believe it when Gastón broke up with her. I remember that I almost cried. They love story seems so unnecessary after the break up. They were suffering for a very long time and it became just a waste of energy. I understand that not every relationship least forever but the end was a bit rushed. I feel this because Jim and Nico broke up too but the reason was that (if I remember correctly) they realized that they didn't have any feelings for each other anymore. But I think Nina and Gastón will get together again later maybe a few years after the show ends. Edit: It's my favorite ship from the show.
I think Gaston acted maturely and consciously. Long-distance relationships are very difficult (and here they were literally separated by the whole world). He broke up with Nina because he loved her too much to let the long-distance relationship suffer. He knows that they will always love each other and hopes that they will get back together in time. I get the impression that both of them are almost sure that if they live in the same place again, they will be together again

I really loved this show and I sat and watched EVERY episode waiting for Simbar because it is one of my all time favorite ships, so I was happy they didn't ruin that one even it did take forever. Nina's romance was unexpected but so sweet and wholesome, they build it up for so long only to be like "lol nvm, let's put her with some random shy singer" ?????!!! what?!!!
let me just add my two cents real quick. they were the superior couple on the show. their love story was *chefs kiss* and the rest couldn’t compare. i think the writers should’ve just let nina be single after the breakup, but no they just had to pair her up. gastinas breakup was realistic and her “moving on” just was out of character. it would have made more sense if they brought xavi back and paired her up with him as they have history, but eric was just a big no. they could’ve left everyone more satisfied had they left it off with the whole “names in the ocean” and never addressed her love life after bc then it could’ve been assumed they would get back together eventually
I would've been fine with Xavi, even though I find him super boring. But yeah, either leave Nina single, or the writers could've written off Gaston, but have Nina and him still be in a long-distance relationship with her and Matteo occasionally mentioning what Gaston is up to.

Basically Disney ruined almost every ship from Soy Luna, only Simbar and Lutteo remained. Even actors said that it was pretty rude (I remember Malena said it about Pelfi). The main reason I can't end watching this series is Gastina breakup

They I'm like... wait who's Nina, what is some side character and there's some beaty and the beast lore I don't know about. Maybe it's a new movie or short film as there's a RUclips channel that recreates fairytale as modern like high school stories. After rereading the title like 5 times I look at who posted it and I'm like Cait... okay beauty and the beast would be something she posts... then it hits me what she's actually talking about, as I've heard of the show from Cait before... and last time she mentioned Gaston in a video I got confused the same way, for a second thinking she was talking about the one from beauty and the beast. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😂😂😂

ya know since soy luna used to film episodes out of order, in s1 but specially s2 gastón had different types of hairstyles in just one episode. he went to school with one hairstyle and entered the jam & roller with a completely different one. pretty sure that at amber’s birthday he had two different hairstyles. which means that they had no problems of continuity when it came to looks so i don’t get it why instead of the break up scene they couldn’t have filmed a scene for the finale instead even if nina looked different. they could’ve filmed something relating to the sea legend like gastón surprising her at the beach instead since that felt like foreshadowing to me and it would have been a nice closure to their relationship even if they wouldn’t have any scenes together throughout the whole show. also her abandoning the blog at the end of s3 and being unsure of what to do next made me hopeful she was gonna apply to the abroad programme again and meet gastón the first time i watched so that rebroke my heart and killed my last hope.

But if she did invite him, he probably told her that he was too busy, but I reality he was just too heartbroken to come since he learned about Eric. We all know that Gastón was calling her to try to get her back, because he realised how big of a mistake her made and was willing to transfer back to BA, but chickened out after learning about Eric. He is not happy for her, at least not in that way, and he definitely went to vent to Matteo after that

The problem was that Gaston's actor left to be a singer. But they still could have them as a long distance relationship or at least single Nina untill they will reunite. Nina and Eric was so forced and she never recipocated his feelings,she was just influenced by her friends and gave a change to Eric to move on. But they were different when Gaston will be back/she will go to oxford she will dump eric in a second.
I haven’t finished Soy Luna but I found out they broke up and I was so mad because they are my favorite ship. That’s when I made the decision to make a fanfic. 😊

gastina hit me hard since i relate to nina alot and gaston is just so sweet and it breaks my heart to see the show destroy them like this but i like to believe that they met again in oxford and are happily in love

I really loved this show and I sat and watched EVERY episode waiting for Simbar because it is one of my all time favorite ships, so I was happy they didn't ruin that one even it did take forever. Nina's romance was unexpected but so sweet and wholesome, they build it up for so long only to be like "lol nvm, let's put her with some random shy singer" ?????!!! what?!!!

let me just add my two cents real quick. they were the superior couple on the show. their love story was *chefs kiss* and the rest couldn’t compare. i think the writers should’ve just let nina be single after the breakup, but no they just had to pair her up. gastinas breakup was realistic and her “moving on” just was out of character. it would have made more sense if they brought xavi back and paired her up with him as they have history, but eric was just a big no. they could’ve left everyone more satisfied had they left it off with the whole “names in the ocean” and never addressed her love life after bc then it could’ve been assumed they would get back together eventually
I would've been fine with Xavi, even though I find him super boring. But yeah, either leave Nina single, or the writers could've written off Gaston, but have Nina and him still be in a long-distance relationship with her and Matteo occasionally mentioning what Gaston is up to.
@@bellonacanino3422 i think another reason is that the actor who plays gaston left in season 3 to persue a music carrea so that is probs one of the main reasons. ( Writers could have either made nina single or like if actor wasnt going to appear then like made their long distance happen off screen and talk about it briefy) i mean that is what they did at times with ludmila and federico in violetta

Basically Disney ruined almost every ship from Soy Luna, only Simbar and Lutteo remained. Even actors said that it was pretty rude (I remember Malena said it about Pelfi). The main reason I can't end watching this series is Gastina breakup

so i started watching the show because i saw the video you did about your favorite disney ships and Soy Luna popped up. I saw Augustin Bernasconi ( the actor who plays Gaston) im a huge fan of his music duo called MYA. I fell in love with the show and was super upset at the how they ended Gastina.

the blindfolded dance is literally the best moment on this show, i remember watching the episode when it came out and being really frustrated bc nina couldn't reveal her identity!! i love gastina! when they broke up, i stopped watching the show (well, actually i just remember watching the simbar scenes and that's it lol)
When the actor said he wouldn't appear anymore because he was kinda debuting as a duo/band singer I felt bad but not so much cause at the end he was doing what he loved but then Disney had to make Eric and it was awful.
No Gastina stan ever should blame Agus for their fate. The blame is totally on the writers, they could have just have them keep the long distance going and have him appear in the last ep, instead of 10 and 11

I haven't seen this show, so when I looked at the notification and saw Gaston and Nina and I'm like oh from beauty and the beast. I also saw the thumbnail and I'm like awe cute. They I'm like... wait who's Nina, what is some side character and there's some beaty and the beast lore I don't know about. Maybe it's a new movie or short film as there's a RUclips channel that recreates fairytale as modern like high school stories. After rereading the title like 5 times I look at who posted it and I'm like Cait... okay beauty and the beast would be something she posts... then it hits me what she's actually talking about, as I've heard of the show from Cait before... and last time she mentioned Gaston in a video I got confused the same way, for a second thinking she was talking about the one from beauty and the beast. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😂😂😂

ya know since soy luna used to film episodes out of order, in s1 but specially s2 gastón had different types of hairstyles in just one episode. he went to school with one hairstyle and entered the jam & roller with a completely different one. pretty sure that at amber’s birthday he had two different hairstyles. which means that they had no problems of continuity when it came to looks so i don’t get it why instead of the break up scene they couldn’t have filmed a scene for the finale instead even if nina looked different. they could’ve filmed something relating to the sea legend like gastón surprising her at the beach instead since that felt like foreshadowing to me and it would have been a nice closure to their relationship even if they wouldn’t have any scenes together throughout the whole show.
also her abandoning the blog at the end of s3 and being unsure of what to do next made me hopeful she was gonna apply to the abroad programme again and meet gastón the first time i watched so that rebroke my heart and killed my last hope.
They literally could have Gastón return in the finally instead ep. 10
@@countessofravenclaw383 exactly. i know agustín was probably too busy to comeback to film the finale (since i personally think gastón wouldn’t miss luna’s birthday) but they could’ve taken advantage of his time and have him film a gastina scene for the finale instead of the break up. since most of nina’s centred scenes in s3 were still involving gastón i don’t think nothing would be lost from her storyline
@@yoongituan l am kind of on the fence about if Luna even invited Gastón, since l don't think she thought very higly of him anymore in the end of S3. But if she did invite him, he probably told her that he was too busy, but I reality he was just too heartbroken to come since he learned about Eric.
We all know that Gastón was calling her to try to get her back, because he realised how big of a mistake her made and was willing to transfer back to BA, but chickened out after learning about Eric. He is not happy for her, at least not in that way, and he definitely went to vent to Matteo after that

The problem was that Gaston's actor left to be a singer. But they still could have them as a long distance relationship or at least single Nina untill they will reunite. Nina and Eric was so forced and she never recipocated his feelings,she was just influenced by her friends and gave a change to Eric to move on. But they were different when Gaston will be back/she will go to oxford she will dump eric in a second.
I haven’t finished Soy Luna but I found out they broke up and I was so mad because they are my favorite ship.
That’s when I made the decision to make a fanfic. 😊
