Are you wondering how is Turkish culture? Would you like to know interesting cultural things? I made this video for you! Don't lose time and start to watch :)
I'm from south azerbaijan . One of the states of iran . south azerbaijan people love turkey people very much because we are turks too...azerbaijan turks...love turkey love azerbaijan❤❤.türkiyem seni çok seviyorum. .. Canım azərbaycanım sənə canım qurban ❤❤
I just returned from turkey. People are fantastic. They are beautiful, polite, smart, hardworking and very very hospital towards tourists. I love them.
It's interesting we have so much in common. I'm from the UK. If our right palm itches it means receiving money, left palm giving money! Loved the video! Thanks!
I just found your channel ☺️I found this video so helpful and now understand why my neighbor brings food on a plate. I gave it back with some food I made the following day🥰Now I love this even more because I understand the cultural gesture of hospitality. In my culture, we bring over a bottle of wine typically when asked over to someone’s house for dinner. If it is what is called a “potluck style meal” it is appropriate to bring a dish so the host only makes a few dishes for the meal. Potlucks are very common especially in the summer ~ think of a summer bbq meal with burgers, salads, fruit, desert, hotdogs, casseroles, pasta and many kinds of beverages. I look forward to your culture videos. Cheers from Izmir
Merhaba! Thank you for your comment, I'm glad to hear that it was helpful 😊 I hope that you can get used to our culture quickly and like it 🙌 Greeting from Istanbul 🥰
Very interesting! A cool bit of American culture that we have is how outgoing everyone is. If you're at a public space, you can easily go up to someone and strike a conversation. It's hell for an introvert like me, but it's nice to see other people make friends so easily.
Went to Turkey in 2019 end of October.. I had fun! Just too bad it was bad weather in Cappadocia cant see the sky full with balloons.. Overall i really enjoy my trip
Weird things scottish people say: if you get a random shiver, people say "someone must have walked over your grave" or if your ears feel hot "someone is talking bad about you" so funny how different cultures have these little nuances
@@marcusfreire7349 Wow I didn't know that we have that many similarities! I'm surprised 😯 About random shiver, we say "the angel of death visits you" which means it was a warning before die 😄
Lets clarify this: regular Turkish girls do not perform belly dance (dancing half naked with an exposed belly) .. that is a profession.. (Mostly an arabic tradition that is kept popular in Turkey commonly by gypsies.)
@@caglafromdreamland "Belly dance" in western context refers to an exposed belly. It's not about us.. it's just English.. (You should not raise the expectations too much :) )
Merhaba Çağla, I am South African and came across your video which I found quite informative. I must say since discovering my love for Turkish dizi my fascination for the culture has also grown. Few things I thought you may be able to clear up for me, why rub I believe rose water on someone's limbs when they have fainted? And why throw water when someone leaves? Çok teşekkürler ❤️
Merhaba! 🙋 First it's not rose water, it's lemon cologne and it contains %80 alcohol. I think that's why we use it to wake them up 😄 Throwing water means come back soon, so they hope you to go and back soon ☺️
In India too If go as a guest in some one house for lunch or dinner they make you eat more and more than your capacity. That returning plate and itching hand is also similar .
Your traditions and cultures had similarities in my country Philippines. giving foods to neighbors esp it there is occasion. Giving respect to elders by putting there hand on our forehead. We called it "pag mamano". And some beliefs. I hope those beautiful cultures and traditions will pass on from gen to gen.
Aftr seeing some of Turkish drama, I love the places in turkey and traditions of Turkey. I just want to know that I saw in dramas, whenever they get tensed especially old ladies, they used to apply some liquid on neck, hand and smell it.. wat it is exactly.. ??
Nice, i think Philippines have a little in common with the beliefs and traditions. We also take the hand of an elder and touch it on our forehead, though we dont kiss it. We also believe that if a bird do that to you it means luck. If the hand is itching it means money is coming. If the feet is itching it means travel and you never send back an empty plate, it's a little impolite. It's good to learn other cultures.
Can you please teach us Turkish language... I am desperately want to learn Turkish language ❤️ I am from Pakistan and I love Turkey very very much infact all Pakistani love tiryand Turkish people very much ❤️❤️
I'm from Ireland your superstitions are exactly as Irish from itcy hand ringing in ears but read tea leaves not coffee. Sharing food. I been to Marmaris recently it was the best holiday ever.
Why Turkish people are pouring water on the floor... After somebody left the house or something else.... I watched it in a Turkish series and curiously waiting for your reply❤

I have a Turkish friend at school, and I wanted to learn more about her culture so that I can be more respectful. Also Something in my culture (I’m Afrikaans and South African) is that usually people will talk for a long time and it usually takes a very long time for people to get food ready if you’re at a party at an Afrikaans speaking person’s house. I’ve heard a lot of English South Africans complain about it a lot, but it’s just that when we invite you for a braai (barbecue) it’s likely you will be there for the rest of the day and that everyone will kuier (hang out and talk and enjoy each other’s company) for most of that time. The food is just a small part of the experience.
We have same culture and same supertion in our India 😅, btw I have seen some bottle containing kinda yellowish liquid and Turkish people often wash their hands with it I was surprised what is it can you tell me?
