I just found your channel ☺️I found this video so helpful and now understand why my neighbor brings food on a plate. I gave it back with some food I made the following day🥰Now I love this even more because I understand the cultural gesture of hospitality. In my culture, we bring over a bottle of wine typically when asked over to someone’s house for dinner. If it is what is called a “potluck style meal” it is appropriate to bring a dish so the host only makes a few dishes for the meal. Potlucks are very common especially in the summer ~ think of a summer bbq meal with burgers, salads, fruit, desert, hotdogs, casseroles, pasta and many kinds of beverages. I look forward to your culture videos. Cheers from Izmir

Nice, i think Philippines have a little in common with the beliefs and traditions. We also take the hand of an elder and touch it on our forehead, though we dont kiss it. We also believe that if a bird do that to you it means luck. If the hand is itching it means money is coming. If the feet is itching it means travel and you never send back an empty plate, it's a little impolite. It's good to learn other cultures.

I have a Turkish friend at school, and I wanted to learn more about her culture so that I can be more respectful.
Also Something in my culture (I’m Afrikaans and South African) is that usually people will talk for a long time and it usually takes a very long time for people to get food ready if you’re at a party at an Afrikaans speaking person’s house. I’ve heard a lot of English South Africans complain about it a lot, but it’s just that when we invite you for a braai (barbecue) it’s likely you will be there for the rest of the day and that everyone will kuier (hang out and talk and enjoy each other’s company) for most of that time.
The food is just a small part of the experience.

Turkish culture or people is not that bad even though it seem bad from outside. When you dig deep in you can find the real Cennet. Glad you start finding yours.

Your culture is the country you grew up in, don't pretend to be culturally Turkish or Kurdish because you aren't, accept what you are.

They actually are discussing about paying "the bill" not "the account". It is a pity that these two words are just one and the same in Turkish.. :) You should not trust your Turkish to English dictionary so much.

we are not speak arabic we speak turkish you can`t translate arabic alphabet to turkish alfabet clearly. for example the elif(ا), the first letter of the arabic alphabet means e,a,i,o letters in turkish alphabet. our race comes from central asia to anatolia. but in ottoman age (1299-1922) turkish people used arabic alphabet with turkish speaking languege. anyway turkish people never speaked arabic we just used arabic alphabet in the past.
