I think how Robotnik survived/recovered part would have fit without interrupting much. Gives some context to his survival other than being ignored completely. It would also explain how the Japanese newscast has a picture of him inside The Crab later in the movie. It would also make the "final Livestream" line in his final scene feel less out of left field. They didn't have to do the other scenes which I agree feels very out of place That said, the final cut was spectacular in it's pacing and focus and only one scene argubly could have been added.

I am very grateful that they cut all the scenes involving Robotnik’s Livestreams. I feel if they were in the final film, they would have not only dragged the pacing, but also taken away the emotions & tone of the scenes around them (especially the last one in The Eclipse Canon). However, I do feel the deleted scene where Agent Stone explains how Robotnik survived the events of Sonic 2 should’ve been in the final cut. Even though it is the first clip that mentioned Robotnik’s Livestreams (& that’s probably why it got cut), I don’t feel that should’ve been enough for the scene to be cut (especially as elements of the Livestreams are still left in the final film with the goodbye to Stone at the end of the film). I wouldn’t mind seeing THAT scene finished & edited back in for a future cut of the film, along with some of the smaller clips like the unused montage moments with Gerald & Robotnik, the GUN Officer wanting a photo, and the scene with Knuckles & Maddie
a lot of these scenes are funny but would have just made the film have bad pacing they made the right decision though i would have liked to see how robotnik survived but i agree with cutting the rest

Most of the streamer jokes would get outdated so fast and would just age poorly. First scene should’ve stayed in imo just without the streamer ending dialogue. They seemed to heavily consider this gag lol.
