It's a LIVE concert. People should be able to express their love of the music, respectfully. Listening to this, there was very little "woo"ing during this song... a few at the beginning and a then some towards the end during some really, really fantastic parts of the song. Why should people hold in their passion for a song? Some of the greatest live albums are enjoyable because of audience reaction and participation. If you want a quiet uninterrupted song, stay home and listen to the album. And, not this video, because it's DCRANGERFAN and he/she is awesome, but why should someone hold in their woo hoo because some bozo can't put their smart phone away and just listen to a song without having to video it?
mebarry888 I think you're missing to whole point of the comment. Ive been to a zillion Avett brothers concerts & love it when DCRANGERFAN posts the videos from them here. Nobody has objection to whooping & having fun there...it's generally what everybody does. But when the boys are singing a meaningful song, where the lyrics are passionate & with a message, I think the least the fans could do would be shut up & listen...just once? I was at one concert in Philly where Bob was talking about his little daughters cancer & how he was finding ways to cope with that news. He went on to dedicate the next song to her & the fans just screamed their lungs out all the way thru' it. Sorry, but I could tell by the look on Bob & Seths face that they were saddened by this.
i've been to a lot of avetts shows--from the very beginning. and now the crowds are huge. if anyone thinks that at any point in time that an entire crowd of loving fans could ALL be quiet, at the SAME TIME, well, yeah, you'd better listen to the cd at home. give the first live CD a listen and tell me if you ever think the avetts fans are going to calm down and sit down and shut up and be quiet. it's not gonna happen. this band speaks to the heart of every fan and that's why people CAN NOT contain their emotions, whatever they may be, at a LIVE AVETTS SHOW! my god! i've cried, screamed, shouted, sang, danced, jumped up and down, and nearly collapsed from exhaustion from the energy of a live avetts show. you gotta let people enjoy the moment for god's sake! WOOOOOOO! i'll be seeing them live on sept 9, and i will show my emotion. but i will try to use good timing. don't hate me!
Great idea in theory, it's a live show with thousands of people, your idea of a good time is not the same as everyone else. It's live music. They paid the same money you did.
