I'm looking for a mid hump boost...of all the affordable boosts that you have tested, which one is the closest to the Epoch Boost? Also, I wonder if it's better if I just use an EQ pedal instead...Thoughts? As of this moment, I don't have either. tyia
The ep boost would be closest to the epoch boost. They are both based on the echoplex preamp. I use the epoch boost on my board. But also an eq pedal lets you dial your tone a whole heck of a lot more and it does boost your signal if you want that. That being said I still didn’t put the eq on my board.
I’ve never tried to run it on a higher voltage. The Ep boost it’s based on can run on 18v but I’m not sure if the mosky can handle it being it’s cheap.
You do know what a buffer pedal is for, right? It's not really a booster, it's to make up for tone loss through your fx chain. Ideally you have one at the front of your pedals, where you plug your guitar in, and one at the end of the pedal chain, you plug that booster into your amp.
Dec sounds a lot fuller! And i cear If one turns the bright fio switch in the BP It would sound even thinner.

I haven’t tried the xp blue yet, I just assumed they are the same pedal. It’s nice to know they they are.
@@googaboogaloo bonjour, Oui je confirme: XP=BP, j'ai même fait des photos de l'intérieur
The bp has internal dip switches to change, eq and volume
Hi, what do u think is the best setting for that dip switch
I love the Mosky pedals but I hate the blue LEDs.
Lol i cover it with a post it
mod 'em
I learned to love and accept the blinding blue led
Parabéns !
Ótima comparação.
Strum. Click. Strum. Click click click. Strum strum click click click click. Strum. Click click. Cool demo.
It’s kinda hard to demo a boost. I was just trying to hear how they color the tone. The bp definitely changes the eq slightly where the Dec doesn’t.
@@googaboogaloo lemme tell ya, this kind of demo is actually the most helpful for this kind of pedal ahahaha. it's also how we'd test volume boosts
Sounds great at the nearest end of the vid!!
which is the best in your opinion?
Have you uses them after drives/dist? What are your thoughts?
Amazing!
I liked the DEC, more bright
So there is a bright switch that I completely forgot about in the inside. It does get brighter
@@googaboogaloo where? Cannot see this switch
@@onefpsvideo it’s on the inside of the back of the pedal. You have to remove the back cover. I didn’t know it until after I uploaded the video
@@googaboogaloo is it the DEC or the BP that has a bright switch?
@@franzkiernanbuenaflor5045 the Bp has a bright switch. I didn’t have it switched in this video. I just had both stock out of the box

@@googaboogaloo So I just ordered the 10-band Caline EQ v3 from AMZN for $46. It's supposed to be a clone of the MXR.
Can the BP booster be connected to 12 volts?
I’ve never tried to run it on a higher voltage. The Ep boost it’s based on can run on 18v but I’m not sure if the mosky can handle it being it’s cheap.
Thanks!!
Does the buffer of the DEC always On? Or only when the pedal is on?
The buffer is on when the pedal is on. So if the boost is turned down it should just be the buffer with no boost.
does the BP boost change the tone?
It does. It kinda likes cut the high freq of your tone specially with gain tone. It makes your tone more bassy
Yes, of course. EP Booster reduces some hights. Thats why people love it! And same does this BP Booster copy.

It does bolth. This is a buffer AND booster. It’s based on a wampler buffer and booster
@@googaboogaloo and how does it work, when switched off it's a buffer and switched on it's a booster?
@@IAmWatcher when it’s off it’s completely bypassed. When it’s on it’s both. So if you don’t want the boost aspect you set the knob at zero.
@@googaboogaloo ok thanks, I saw this at Ali for 24 bucks, if the buffer part is any good I might buy me 2 =)
@@IAmWatcher whatever you do don’t buy the mosky pure buffer. It’s horrible
That Dec is a dud
