being going back on your lessons, this one is really important, trying to get a smooth picking motion with your wrist, what you pointed out about playing your practice scales slow I forget that , it's hard to pick slow, but I get it, what is that cliche' saying " slow and steady wins the race " very true, always loved your lessons, this one is booked marked in my favorites
Instead of practicing at really slow speed, what I prefer is ===>>> if I suck at 180bpm but I can handle the pressure at 170bpm, I would practice at 170bpm, jump to 175, then suddenly burst to 180, then back to 170, slow down to 160 may be to 150 then back to 180 and just continue the cycle. I pause for a while to give my fingers a break. After a while, I check myself if I am able to play at 180 for a bit longer interval.
16 years in (but 1st year of taking playing more seriously), and this taught me so much good stuff. Thanks bro!
