I'm sorry if his singing doesn't fit your "standards", but I'd say Pat was doing his best to keep his emotions in check during this song. He and his brother Danny were especially close-more like "Irish twins" and, since Danny had died some years ago, Pat was singing Danny's favorite song as a tribute. I think he did a BEAUTIFUL job!!
The first time I saw this, it was the first time I'd seen Pat in over 30 years and I had no IDEA anything had happened to Danny! Now, it's 2022, and we've been friends for 10 years. He's hands down, one of the sweetest people I know of, and I hope things keep getting better for him. Sweet Paddy, you DEFINITELY deserve it!

You know, as they say, different strokes for different folks, but-over the past 2 years-I've become friends with Pat online and he's just as sweet and sensitive as I always knew he would be. I also think he sings beautifully and looks fantastic!!!
Be certain its him you are communicating with 'him' and not an imposter. Very very few celebrities have time to communicate personally with their fans..but..there are plenty of internet trolls posing as celebrities.
@@arsimard Listen to the interviews he did with his (now) manager Derek Moody. Derek got Pat's email from one of the administrators on the site I run, and she got it from ME. Pat actually mentioned me in the first 2 interviews he did.
aw..you gotta love his accent! Pat is at least 50, come on..he doesn't look bad. I'm afraid the singing isnt quite what it used to be, but I enjoyed it very much. Afraid age catches up to all of us. I think he's still a cutie!
i think pat did more than sing that one song for danny in this. did you hear the words to dedication-this song i want to dedicate to you, etc. i think it's the sweetest thing ever!! my sympathies to your whole family!

i think the only real difference between pat then and now is that his eyes don't have quite the same sparkle anymore. i guess 30 years and losing the brother you're devoted to will do that to a person!

Until you do, and then, have to deal with the UNSPEAKABLE heartache that goes along with losing somebody that WAS half your heart, don't try to judge somebody else's grief!! And Paddy said himself that he tried to help Danny-but Danny wasn't ready to ACCEPT that help!
@ke11er5tain Pat went to prison on charges that were later overturned because he'd just gone to look at a car but didn't know there were drugs in the trunk!!! I believe that the brother he did this show to honor died from drugs, so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that he wouldn't make the same mistake!!!!
