Hi Renee. WOW! You had some amazing finds. I wonder what that person next to you wanted to buy. I so enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you Renee. Stay safe. Maria. 🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀☀️☀️🌤️🌤️🌤️
First thing I thought when I saw the photo of the women standing with their white aprons was they were nurses’ aides. Had no idea they were cigar factory workers. I learn so much about all kinds of things by watching Renee’s videos. Love the history, love the items, love the conversations going on around her as she sifts through the past. Very enjoyable, thank you!
Thankfully someone wrote on the back! I'm sure with a magnifying glass I would have been able to figure out what type of place it was exactly, but so nice to have all of their names written on the back! Thanks for always watching Mary!
Hello Renee. And how is are flea market worrier this fine Monday? Sometimes editing videos are a little tricky when your tired 🥱. I kinda like it when it happens . Makes it more interesting 🤔. Anyway I love the ties there very nice 👍 . The scrapbook has really got be fun because it’s coming from a child’s point of view . Take care . Thanks for all your hard work for your views. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯
The ties were nice. The car recap, lacking caffeine, that was why we got it twice? (Hahaha 🤣) It Looked like some great items, hope it is a very good fall flea market season. 👍
Love the ties!! What a great photo, the cigar factory - looking forward to "some history behind the photo", maybe the scrapbook too? Thanks for sharing Renee 😊❤️
When crafters see certain things they know that in the future they will be able to use it in a project. That doesn’t mean they know the exact thing they are using it for but rather know it is the type of things they could do something with. She therefore might not have a specific project at the time she acquires it.
Looked like a good flea market, got me wanting to try some new markets. Like the photo of the women cigar makers, used to lots of cigars made in Pennsylvania. Still pretty common to come across the wood “molds”for them
Loved seeing the York Fair gate passes since we are fair goers. The photo may be related to the same area because there were many cigar factories in the nearby town of Red Lion. Good luck with your research.
What do you do with the ephemera you find and how do you care for or store it? I buy antique photographs and I will mount them without adhesive to non acidic matboard and put inside archival sleeves. I'm very curious how you handle the things you find. Thank you. 🌻
@@PaperandMoose Ties are a great item to pick up Renee.. especially if you pay by the pound at the Blue Bins. They might weight 4 ounces? High quality silk ones can bring good money. Found 2 this week on 2 different days. One was from the Metropolitan Museum of Art Series and the other a sports theme from the Atlanta Olympics. Comps on these I saw can be $20-$25 and up. Easy to ship and they can't break
Is it that cold there already? We are still in the 90s!! Im ready for cooler, NOT COLD, weather. Lo l. Great video as always. You have the best flea markets and estate sales!!
Cool stuff! For me its kinda funny that you picked a photo that shows an east German RAFENA Dürer 86 TV set for the endscreen... Radeberg is like 10km from where I live and I even know some people that have been working in that factory.
I understand that you like to buy alot of paper and I remember that in you do research. Then what? How do you store it, how long do you keep it before you get rid of it. I have learned to look at old scrapbooks and postcards in a new light. I do like buying old children's books & old magazines. I haven't seen Etsy to see how or what you sell. I am learning to use my phone to look up things.
Ha ha based on the date of American Express stamp from Naples (01/12/59), the "Ecumenical Council" the child was annoyed by might have been extra chairs being set up for Pope John XXIII's public announcement of his plans for Vatican II - of which he had informed certain Cardinals only that same day (01/25/59). Of course Vatican II ushered in the sweeping reforms in the Catholic Church that, among other things, allowed (required?) Mass to be said in the local language rather than Latin - and allowed the priest to face the congregation rather than have his back to them (I think). I don't think she was the only one rankled by the event. Many of the others, though, were old guys in big hats. Apologies if I am mansplaining or stating the obvious. My girls say I do it a lot. Sometimes when they don't like what I am telling them. Full transparency.- I checked Google and Wikipedia to try to make sure I got at least some of the Vatican II stuff right. Great video as always Renee. Don't sweat the loops. As you may know from your previous job, Corporate Trainers say you have to tell people things several times before they remember. Plus - at the end of the year I think you should launch the first-ever Paper & Moose gag/bloopers reel! You must have some good stuff we haven't seen!
I have heard of manscaping, but had not heard of mansplaining before, although I have experienced it and now know what it is called. I used to just call it “Mr. Man” talk. Anyhow, I enjoyed your explanation of that Ecumenical Council and the changes it brought about, although I am not RC. I love history!!
I watched you in another video and you had a cold.if you put vicks on the bottom of your feet then put heavy socks on go to bed and it will help tour cold feel better soon.
Like the sky behind you...neat cloud formations. From the light beam, looks like your "Flea Market Angel" is shining on you! Nice finds.
Love the York Fair passes! I grew up and still live in York and the fair has always been an annual tradition!
I love that they have the photos on them!
Hey Susie Stateliner, you’re very much a morning person! I can’t get to flea markets in the dark anymore….
Loved the vintage TV at the end!
Fair gate passes and tobacco factory photo are my favorites. Can't wait to hear the back stories. Keep up the great finds

I believe it was a type of deed/indenture.

Love the ephemera, especially the passes. So cool!
Always interesting to see what you find. I really enjoyed the little girls travel pages - especially the wrappers. 😊
I understand old cigar manufacturers had a man sitting in a tall chair, reading the newspaper to the workers.
The light streaming in is artistic ( and is missing you ) great video
I was digging that plymouth fury owners manual you picked up

A lot of looping in this video but still enjoy 🙂
It was a late night of editing. Made some cuts so the loop should be fixed in the next fewhours.
LOL, I felt like I was in Groundhog Day! LOL I love paper too. Always pick it up when I see it. Gotta safe the paper past! Love your channel.

Good to know! Once I research the names, I'll be able to figure out the town.
Another dark start to your flea market adventure. Here's to hoping you find lots of items.
Good morning Sergent Rene. Lol according to your insignia.

Ooops, some double editing ?! Never mind, nice to see you twice, Renée ! Great finds, I like the gate passes. Greets from GER, U.
Thank you for pointing out the double talk, for a minute I thought I had suffered a stroke. 🥴
@@marygbythec7491 You´re welcome, Mary.
@@marygbythec7491 😂hi Mary I thought I'd backed it up.
@@beverleymangan1740 LOL. With my clumsy fingers, this is also a possibility!

You managed to find some cool ephemera!
If you're going to loop your video do it on Groundhog's Day.
I had no idea I even did that... must have been editing late at night.
@@PaperandMoose I hope my comment didn’t sound rude, sometimes I just get straight to my thought. Enjoy your videos.
I think uploading ephemera such as yours will prove to be invaluable in the future
My bucket-wish-list is to do all of my family’s
photos as well
🍻
My bucket list is looooong. I need just a few more hours in the day!

You're right. It's a high of 80 but then went down to the 50's last night in PA. She's north of me so probably cooler. Indian summer. 🍁

I gotta know what that man was trying to buy next to you 😂 was it real? Haha
I thought the same thing. What was he buying beside you

I know you have some old sheet music. Not interested in pretty pictures on cover. Crafter, just sheet music to cut up.
Another ground hog day video. Repeated at least 3 or 4 times. Are you ok???
Mm
I don't think you would have to do a voice over anyway, because most of the time I can't hear what you are saying.
