I love both yet there’s something special about playing on the wet grass and gray skies of Northern England. This will be the year Wakey do great things under Poching!!!
Loved this ground, short walk to matches and went every game there. They did also save a goal post and put it on Brian bevan Island on wilder spool causeway replacing the brain bevan statue that was there, which was moved outside halliwell Jones.
Every time I went to Wilderspool it was a grey winters day. Add on that big grey wall running the length of the pitch & it was a grim place. John Woods will have been playing & he was a class act.
It's always our year. Supporting this club is like being a passenger in a rally car driven by Stevie Wonder on meth. Sometimes exhilarating, sometimes horrifying but never boring. Tends to end up in a crash.
Nice. Nothing against NRL but I love Super League videos!
Thanks for watching. I thought you had disappeared off the face of the earth like.
@@RugbyLeagueHistory haha no. I was in Colombia for a few months and internet is poor there. 🤣

Wilderspool or the Zoo as former players called it
Did they replace it with a pool? lol
No lol, it is going to become a housing estate.
Did you ever go to wilderspool
No I never did unfortunately.
It still isn’t the Wire’s year.
It hasn't been their year since 1955
It's always our year.

@@ianmarsden1130 hahaha. Great analogy.
Did you know that warrington are the only club to have always played in the top tier never been relegated
I remember reading awhile ago that they hadn't been relegated. I read that Wigan got relegated in 1980 but came back the following season.
