Hey, Sami and KO won against the Usos, this is probably gonna be the best 2 Night Wrestlemania so far! Oh no! Cody lost and now the story is in a Brockilogue. There is a problem.
I think I understand the "lack of adversity" thing. Cody Rhodes does have a great story leaving WWE and his time in NWA, ROH, NJPW, and starting AEW and returning to WWE to win the big one. However, that wasn't the story being told in the build to his match against Roman at Mania. He comes back from an injury in a storyline unrelated to Roman, gets the Royal Rumble win on a silver platter at #30 and cuts a bunch of promos about Dusty most of the time with a couple jabs at Roman here and there. The promo Cody cut 8 days after Mania and the first Brock attack SHOULD'VE been the story in the lead up to Mania. But this is just my take, what y'all think?
I was always confused why Cody entered the Rumble at 30 tbh, it would've been nicer to sell his comeback with a pseudo iron man performance from like number 5 or 10, maybe recreate Austin's first rumble win with WWE leaving him alone in the ring multiple times to confirm to the fans "this is the guy right?"
@@noname-hf9tyit did feel a bit like whatever direction they were doing got a hard detour in December. The rise of Sami Zayn, Vince coming back and I can’t be convinced he didn’t interfere creatively.
The issue I take with his "lack of adversity" is the fact his WHOLE career up to his return at Mania WAS the adversity. A solid workhorse born into a family of them that Vince never let get anywhere because NWA and such turned into a joke just like his father until eventually leaving. Making his way up the ranks on the indies trying to establish himself as someone that CAN carry a company on his back even starting a rival promotion but eventually going back to win the title his father never was allowed to. That is the most outside-the-ring adversity you could possibly get.
@@switchblade6they couldn't cope with the adversity being the story of him being somewhere else. It has to be a story build wholly in WWE, or it didn't happen
My thoughts exactly have Cody beat Roman and he could've have still do the Brock lesnar stuff and you could still do the bloodline civil war story but Roman would have a legitimate reason to be mad at the Usos
I would’ve referenced how he’s not just doing it for Dusty. It’s also 2 different lineages colliding (“wrestling has more than one royal family”). He built a name for himself outside of WWE & now he’s back to prove everyone wrong by dethroning the guy that was hand-chosen to be the top guy. I also would’ve had the Bloodline walk out on him 1-by-1 during their match starting with Jey & ending with Solo. That way he loses his tribe & takes a clean pin to make the moment feel as triumphant as possible. Cody then creates a modern Winged Eagle version of the Undisputed WWE Championship and retires the Universal title since no one is beating Roman.
Or another idea; when Solo Sikoa goes out to interfere, someone else goes out there to help Cody, like Bron Breakker, a fellow wrestler from a famous family, Cody wins, Bron then turns heel by attacking Cody after the match and that's the next feud, NXT champion vs World champion.
"The time we have left with our fathers, it runs out too quickly. Trust me on that one." As someone whose father passed away 5 years ago, this actually hit me.
Pretty cool seeing Adam return to the WC days with the storytime at the beginning. I love those original videos. Especially the Michael Cole one. The 'Oh my!!! Electric Corn Flakes!' always kills me. I still impersonate that particular oh my every time I mimic Maggle lol
It's funny how much it's changed in just the month since this was released on Patreon with the fire behind LA Knight for money in the bank, but I really like the briefcase line.
WWE really does make wrestling harder than it needs to be too often. Hey we've got this dominant heel champion who says he's all about his family's legacy (even though he's clearly mostly out for himself). Wouldn't it be cool if we had a legitimate babyface challenger who had his own wrestling family legacy to fight for? So we'd get to honor the past, present, and future of this business in the main event of our biggest show, for our most prestigious title? So, you know, we could actually make that "Then. Now. Forever. Together" line more than just a cheesy corporate slogan? Or actually acknowledge the reality that wrestling fans already know, namely that "Wrestling has more than one royal family"? 🤬
You don’t think WWE has acknowledged that there is more than one royal family? That was half of the wrestlmania build. Every other Cody promo is about his family. The things you wanted happened. He just lost to Roman.
Cody Rhodes' WWE story is perfect fodder for Adam; very little wrestling and so much more soap opera. Plumpy has always said the worst part about wrestling is the wrestling.
They should book the rikishi angle this instant but where triple h had you on this one (and hindsight is 20/20, of course) is having Jey get that pin fall. I’m not sure how they get Cody back into the fold from here but here’s hoping man. And I hope it’s at Mania 40!

PLEASE do a video on how you would rebook Wardlow post-DoN 2022. TK dropped the ball sooooo hard with Wardlow after his feud with MJF. Yeah, it didn't help him that Max's whole 'plane ride' thing was the bigger story, but surely AEW could've benefitted greatly from having a big dude who moves like a cruiserweight dominating the main event scene for a while.
Cody's still being booked pretty strongly right now, but the direction they're going with him is unclear. I thought he and Roman would have a rematch at SummerSlam, but he may be facing Brock instead. I just don't know what the long-term plan is for him right now. I would pay good money to see Paul Heyman receive cross roads. I don't think it would be as bad as Vince getting stunner. But it would be still gloriously hilarious.
Brilliant, Adam. It makes logical sense for Cody to compete in the main event at Money In The Bank so as to finally earn the respect of detractors who weren't convinced of Cody's underdog status prior. Additionally, Solo can have a chance to shine with his character arc if booked this way. Cody winning at Summerslam would conclude both storylines in conjunction. I love it.
I understand its likely a big driver for your Patreon, but having these booking videos for the immediate future come out a month late kinda hurts the story you're telling. It leaves it in an odd ground of trying to be a booking for the future, but also a rebooking of just the last month. Its a new video that already feels dated. Still love the content, just my two cents.
Let me also have a go. Cody finishes up with Lesnar as the Bloodline disintegrates. Cody enters MITB and gets screwed one way or another. (Give it to Finn, pop the UK crowd and get the case on a heel.) Cody declares he is challenging Roman at Summerslam, Roman declines. Cody makes it his mission to get under Romans skin and eventually gets the match on the condition that he used in AEW. "If I don't win the title at Summerslam, if I don't beat Roman Reigns, I will never challenge for the WWE Title again." SummerSlam comes. Cody WINS... via countout. Roman keeps the title. Same way Dusty won his only WWF title match, the picture that meant so much to Cody. Cody claims "Roman I beat you. I will beat you again and win the title." Roman says no "you didn't win the title, you're never challenging again." etc. Cody assembles Sami/KO & The Usos for Wargames (his dad invented this being the story). Against Roman, Solo + Imperium. (Gunter history with Cody, Imperium have been feuding with Sami/KO over the tag belts. Roman needs a faction and doesn't trust JD because Finn has the case.) Cody and co win Wargames, with loads of call backs to the previous Wargames match with Sami and Jey getting the victory. Tension brews with Solo and Roman. Cody enters the Rumble as the only viable way to challenge for the title and wins from an early position (not #1), has to fight through a tough field, Solo fails to eliminate him. Gunther (entering late this time) and Cody run back their amazing final two, with Cody winning again. He wins at WM 40, finishing his story. Goes on to feud with various top heels before eventually dropping the title to Gunther at SummerSlam
Almost brilliant except for the end. Roman should NOT lose because of direct interference. It would take away from Cody winning. Try this instead. Solo grabs Cody, he thinks about doing it, but in the first row suddenly appears Rikishi, Solo stares at him, stares at Roman, remembers Cody's words...doesn't hit Cody, doesn't hit Roman, he just leaves with his father. Cody and Roman remain alone, Cody wins clean because at last, Roman was the Chief with no Tribe thus Roman with no reigns.
Here's my bit of fantasy booking I like the bit with Cody and Brock, but I actually like what WWE has done there, giving us a month break before having the blowoff at SS. MITB happens and Cody dispatches Dom. It's not competitive, but Dom gets a little offense in. Brock comes out and smacks Cody around. Then we continue as you did at SS but with 1 stipulation. Cody vs Brock is 3 Stages of Hell. But there's another stipulation. If Cody loses, he's gone. They fight. Cody wins and learns that Paul paid off Brock to attack Cody. Smackdown comes and Roman says he knows nothing about it. Paul asked Roman for some money no questions asked and Roman granted it because Paul is the only person Roman has his trust. This sets off Roman vs Solo. Cody turns on Paul and Paul says. "Oh before I forget, I asked Roman for some more money this afternoon." Cody gets attacked by Imperium. Leading to Cody feuding with them up until SS, where he ends the record breaking reign of GUNTHER. Cody never forgot about Roman. And he says he'll keep fighting Paul's goons until he gets what he wants. Roman meanwhile is going through his whole family. He goes through Jey, Jimmy, Solo and all of them. He's still strong, but you can see the wheels unraveling. In War Games, it's team Rollins vs team Roman. Roman uses the Judgement Day and Rollins uses the Bloodline. Roman is about to pin Seth when Cody comes in and decks Roman with the title. Seth covers. Roman loses for the first time in years and it's all Cody's fault. SS ends with a closeup of Cody and he smiles. Cody doesn't keep the title long. Priest takes it off him after Roman brutalizes Cody in his entrance. Royal Rumble comes and Paul puts a bounty on Cody. Cody enters at 1, and wins. Everytime it looks like someone about to cash in, Zayn, KO, or someone else stops. They don't want Paul's money and while they won't let Cody win because they want a piece of Roman, they also don't want Paul to win. The last two are Cody and Sami, with Cody going over. The war is on. And this one gets vicious. It's a war from the get go. All the stops go into this war. HHH finally has had enough and says this can only end one way. HELL IN A CELL! Night 1 of Mania, Cody is supposed to show for an interview, but doesn't show. Instead, he brutalizes Heyman saying that he should have done that a long time ago. They fight at Mania and it is a bloodbath with Cody going over. I personally really like this scenario.
You know watching this after MITB. This was pretty good ideas that were done. Save the fact that the Bloodline Civil War had already started. The bit about Jimmy watching Jey get spiked was almost perfect .
Cody vs Roman 2 has to be the endgame for Roman’s reign, the question though, is how the hell do we get there with Cody on RAW and Roman on SmackDown? If Roman’s run goes to WrestleMania 40, which I don’t think it will, Cody winning back-to-back Rumbles is probably the wrong call. Cody entering the Chamber for a shot at Roman at Mania would be too obvious. If Roman vs Cody 2 is the endgame, which I think it is, WWE has a tricky road to get there.
The current fumbling of the Cody/Bloodline story is proof that WWE have lost their touch. Soap Opera writers don't care about titles or finishing storylines, and it's on full display here. Cody only has one opportunity left if he's intended to win before Mania, and that's becoming the 1st ever back-to-back Royal Rumble winner. And as much as I want Cody to be the new champ, I don't want him winning the Rumble twice in a row when there are better people to have in that spot. Hope WWE finds a way to tie this together, because this story currently blows.

I also imagine there probably WAS meant to be an adversity arch prior to Cody getting injured
The real story. Was the friends we made along the way.
I honestly agree with Adam, I think Cody works way better in WWE than AEW
Face Cody. Heel Cody is what the AEW fans loved from NJPW. They didn't want cornball cringe Cody.
@@ooo_Kim_Chi_oooalso cody had way too much power in aew
How to book Cody finishing the story. Go back in time and have Cody beat Roman at WrestleMania 39
Trust me on that one."
As someone whose father passed away 5 years ago, this actually hit me.
Pretty cool seeing Adam return to the WC days with the storytime at the beginning. I love those original videos. Especially the Michael Cole one. The 'Oh my!!! Electric Corn Flakes!' always kills me. I still impersonate that particular oh my every time I mimic Maggle lol
The Bork Lazer book was awesome lol
@@DaPrince135 more than one ROYAL family implies that another family can be CROWNED. The point isn't made without the title change.
@@rabbijoe316 To you. Yes I agree
Nice touch posting this on Cody’s birthday 👌
Always an amazing job on these videos.
Maaaaan how are you SO GOOD at coming up with lines? That Paul Heyman promo at 18:25 sounded legit af
Cody Rhodes' WWE story is perfect fodder for Adam; very little wrestling and so much more soap opera. Plumpy has always said the worst part about wrestling is the wrestling.
Well, it is. Story, charisma and mic work is always better.
That line about "the time we have with our fathers" is soooo gooood! Props to you Adam
I liked what they actually did more than this booking
That was one of the better Adam bookings recently. Would make for great TV
Looking at this booking now that it’s sept 2024 he is a genius and damn near spot on with how everything ended up
Hi Adam, consider that jam jammed.
Thanks for the awesome content!
They should book the rikishi angle this instant but where triple h had you on this one (and hindsight is 20/20, of course) is having Jey get that pin fall. I’m not sure how they get Cody back into the fold from here but here’s hoping man. And I hope it’s at Mania 40!
Really really wanna see how Adam would book
THE REFEREE STRIKE
Cody needs to win this, i dont care how the reign is, we just need to see him holding that strap
He's so crap, I don't like him at all
I need him to win AND have a good title reign. I don't need a thousand days of gaslighting and family drama but I do need a good, solid "ima face all challengers" run with a bunch of bangers
@@Lynch2507true that, just let him cook for awhile and put on 15-30 minute great matches
Jey needs to win it
Cody has no business with the bloodline storyline and his story is cringy and stupid
@@willg1088 they should've put jey in mitb, have Cody win the title at like SummerSlam, Jey Cashes in, and then later on down the line roman finally challenges Jey for the title, flipping the script from 2020
The funny thing is that despite this being a month out of date, this could actually still happen once Roman's business with Jimmy and Jey is done with.
I love the new transition after "Let me have a go".
The beginning part reminded me of Adams old video series Superstar diarys.

You are Just a pure creative Genius. Love you since many years ❤
"I've torn my entire boobie tit" made me crack up already.
I liked all of it a lot, except that I don't think we need to give Cody the mitb briefcase for this. Let trips add him to a smackdown gauntlet match which he ofcourse has to start or smth like that. That way we can give the briefcase to someone who will actually benefit from it
With the comparison to Drew, somehow forgot to mention getting absolutely jacked
This might be a reach but could you book Miz breaking Chris Jericho's Intercontinental Championship record 🤷♂
Now theres 4 titles. Glad to see that the tribal heyman is double champ though
Been looking for this all week, NOT disappointed 😎
Left everything I was doing just to watch this masterpiece✨
LA KNIGHT is your new Mr. Money in the bank and that’s not an insult that is just a fact of life YEAH
When Adam goes off on a tangent it's always entertaining to see
Incredible! This is adams best booking video
Cody's still being booked pretty strongly right now, but the direction they're going with him is unclear. I thought he and Roman would have a rematch at SummerSlam, but he may be facing Brock instead. I just don't know what the long-term plan is for him right now. Also, the narrative that Cody "did not go through any advertisity" is ridiculous, and Idk where the hell that came from. Also, suggestions for the next video:
Natalya
Muhammad Hassan
Cesaro
Aces & Eights
Randy Orton's Return
Big E's Return
Edge's Final Run
The Hurt Business
Dean Ambrose: WWE Champion
Sheamus: World Heavyweight Champion
The Riott Squad
Mickie James
The League of Nations
Samoa Joe
Bobby Roode
"Samoan Smaug" might just be the most perfect description I've ever heard of the tribal chief character 😂😂
Hats off to you.
I’ve been waiting for this one!!!
Loving the new logo 👀
This is great, I think in addition to after this story is done, Solo & The Uso’s team together. Maybe they can hold a US Championship & Tag Championships at the same time
Missed a huge opportunity to write "All Rhodes lead to the Roman Empire"
I would pay good money to see Paul Heyman receive cross roads. I don't think it would be as bad as Vince getting stunner. But it would be still gloriously hilarious.
Brilliant, Adam. It makes logical sense for Cody to compete in the main event at Money In The Bank so as to finally earn the respect of detractors who weren't convinced of Cody's underdog status prior. Additionally, Solo can have a chance to shine with his character arc if booked this way. Cody winning at Summerslam would conclude both storylines in conjunction. I love it.
The Schrodinger joke was amazing.! I'm a sucker for Schrodinger references, I'm going to use that if I ever can lol
Another difference, Cody actually is loved by the hardcore fans. Not all of em, but a number of them
My phone was in my pocket, and it rewinded after he said ‘Cornballs’ to “The End” and it took me out 😂😂😂
I understand its likely a big driver for your Patreon, but having these booking videos for the immediate future come out a month late kinda hurts the story you're telling. It leaves it in an odd ground of trying to be a booking for the future, but also a rebooking of just the last month. Its a new video that already feels dated. Still love the content, just my two cents.
Agreed. I think even just a week early would be plenty of bonus time for the Patreon.
I think what they have now is OK as long as they choose their subjects carefully. The timing of this one was a bit... unfortunate.
Yes!!! I knew it was coming .... Just made my day ..thank you Adam
Amazing as usual Adam 👏
I'd love to see how Adam would book a new top star, someone unexpected or overlooked. Like a Mustafa Ali or Chad Gabel
He actually has a booking about the smackdown hacker that involves Both of them, I quite enjoyed it
Here’s a suggestion for a future episode: How Adam Would Book… Lex Luger, American Hero
Oooh, that line from Cody to Solo would have been epic.
That line , would be so cold if Cody actually used it
Adam Blampied books Jungle boys heel turn
How accurate the Jey kicking solo angle happened compared to real life
I would love it if Adam did a booking of what if Cody Rhodes never left AEW for WWE.
THAT 👏🏽 WAS 👏🏽 EPIC 👏🏽‼️
Bringing Rikishi and tie the story about their fathers would actually be a fantastic way to make Solo turn on Roman.
Had to pause mid video, just to comment how great it is to hear Adam say "your Uce"
It's happening at WrestleMania 40, they going for that Rocky Balboa redemption arc it seems.
eerie how close he got to some of the stuff actually happening
Let me also have a go.
Cody finishes up with Lesnar as the Bloodline disintegrates.
Cody enters MITB and gets screwed one way or another. (Give it to Finn, pop the UK crowd and get the case on a heel.)
Cody declares he is challenging Roman at Summerslam, Roman declines. Cody makes it his mission to get under Romans skin and eventually gets the match on the condition that he used in AEW. "If I don't win the title at Summerslam, if I don't beat Roman Reigns, I will never challenge for the WWE Title again."
SummerSlam comes.
Roman needs a faction and doesn't trust JD because Finn has the case.)
Cody and co win Wargames, with loads of call backs to the previous Wargames match with Sami and Jey getting the victory.
I love it. Solo decided the winner at WrestleMania and now he decides the winner at SummerSlam. Lovely full circle moment
I find crazy that Adam got almost all of the Night of Champions angle right despite of his video being recorded before said PLE took place.
I like what Adam did there @16:13
Almost brilliant except for the end.
Hey you should rebook Asuka’s main roster run. She deserved a lot better
Here's my bit of fantasy booking
I like the bit with Cody and Brock, but I actually like what WWE has done there, giving us a month break before having the blowoff at SS.
Adam suggesting a tournament?!? I would have never thought it would happen! 😜😆
Always worth a listen :)
You know watching this after MITB. This was pretty good ideas that were done. Save the fact that the Bloodline Civil War had already started. The bit about Jimmy watching Jey get spiked was almost perfect .
How Adam would book L. A. Knight!!
7:33 - WHERE ADAM STARTS TO BOOK
"The time we have left with our fathers? It runs out too quickly."
Oooh, Adam. You BASTARD.
I love it.
If Cody vs Roman II is still on the table, Cody would 100% win next year's rumble but as the first entrant this time.
@@valeriewithsalt I wouldn’t mind it, but personally I think Gunther should win the Rumble next year and challenge Cody.
"Oh hello, I didn't see you there"
Man I think Adam needs glasses, we catch him off guard way too often.
22:06 Yep, I think we all can relate to that.
Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin have all won back-to-back Rumbles.
HBK won 95,96 Austin won 97,98
Hey Adam i've been watching these videos for years and am a big fan. Here's my suggestion for a future booking....
"How Adam would book.....the New Blood vs the Millionaire's Club"
This was perfect. Cody should've won at Mania, but if he had to lose this is how it should've gone. Didn't expect the Rikishi return; it was a nice touch.
YUS ANOTHER ONE
LET'S GOOOO
Adam: UK fans would be kind to the match
UK fans: football chants and beach balls to entertain themselves
