Something I’ve always loved about FU (and demonstrated beautifully in your 2 Tigrex video) is how you can cheese monsters with enough preparation and knowledge of your TOOLS. Monster hunters are gods not because of their knowledge of weapons (every monster Hunter is a talented warrior/weapon master, that’s a given). That and no resistances stacking in these games so those bastards can have their big ass hip check - I brought shock traps!!!
You know, actually I'm grateful to Plesioth and to his hipcheck. It taught me how to exploit invincibility frames, back in the day. My success as a hunter is mostly because of him, ironically.
Haha I appreciate it! 🙂🙂 I'm trying to hit that balance of helpful, entertaining, and maybe nostalgia or for people to see how monsters were/are fought in MHFU compared to games like World.
Just some advice from someone who cooks gourmet meat in front of Akanator: 1: Plesioth will make you want to use bow or bowguns. So bring power coating if bow, clust, crag and piercing for bowgun. If you use heavy bowgun, ur a madlad. 2. Bring Sonic Bombs. Fr, this is a common mistake of new hunters. So bring some. If not sonic bombs, Frogs will do, as said in the vid. 3. Bring Traps ofc. And bring extra materials to craft more in the hunt. 4. If you will use melee, Hammer (as said in the video), Gunlance, GS, LS or HH. -For Hammer, always charge your attack, AND DONT DO SPIN (it depends). Plant traps and charge your attacks to max, you can only do one max charged hit per trap, so it depends. -For Gunlance, almost the same as hammer. Plant, Charge, Bop, then retreat to sharpen your weapon if it did decreased sharpness. -For Greatsword, still the same. Plant, Charge, Bop. Block the water sprays, and the hip check too. -For LS, charge your Taichi (or the beast mode meter) and use it if possible. Max it first for damage buff. -For HH, buff before u get in the area, unless ur in the cave area, then buff on the top. 5. In the cave part (area 6 i believe), there would be hermitaurs and vespoid (as mentioned in the vid and also i remember it cuz it was the first, most annoying and traumatizing hunt for me) and i kid you not, kill if you can as soon as possible, especially that chad of a vespoid. Hope that helps you, the reader, if you will hunt Plesie. Don't cook in front of a monster, only madlads do that. HAPPY HUNTING!!
I met this guy who solod pleisoth (in multi , I'm gathering shits) using hbg . He keeps cheesing the shock trap and uses pierce . My point is it depends on how you use it
Lol I against 2 green plesioth G rank using HBG and set shield HBG and shoot front of green plesioth, well already defeat two green plesioth, better use nargacuga HBG, it's higher chance critical hit and use bullet pierce 1, 2, and 3 including ingredients make pierce bullet 1.

Started playing Monster Hunter with Gen. I'm playing MHFU for the first time and I've been watching each of these videos as a reward after clearing the monster myself. It's been hours of mistakes, undergearing, forgetting essential supplies, running out of pots in the first 5 minutes, and walking back to camp to heal for 50 minute hunts. But I get plenty of time to learn those moves.
Haha yeah, the only reason I knew that is cause I got hit by it once randomly, might not have even been in MHFU. I was quite shocked to see it put me to sleep 😅😅😅
My first time fighting it, this was the first move it did. I was too dumbfounded by the flying swimming monster to move out of the way, I simply stared at it... and then collapsed to the ground. I thought the plesioth would be easy considering the fact that daimyo hermitaur was defeated so easily with eagle cleaver and that both are water attribute
If you're using Hammer, the waterjet shot is your easiest change to hit the head. Bonus if you have a Paralyzing Hammer 🤣😂 Also great moment to charge Great Sword.
Didn't think about that, though the best place to hit Plesioth is the stomach, except ranged weapons it's the neck, but you'll probably use pierce ammo and hit the stomach anyways.
New to MHFU, killed the Plesioth and wanted to check what u have to say about killing it and I didn't know this hipcheck thing existed but I unintentionally learned dodge rolling through it after getting killed for the nth time to it
Hey great job! lol Plesioth and Kirin were both big inspirations on making these guide series, back when I was playing, there just wasn't any useful info about them :/ It's worth noting that, something at the time I didn't realize, if you go towards Plesioth's head, the hitzone, surprisingly, doesn't extend too far there. Since Plesioth will only hipcheck after turning, you can treat the fight always assuming he'll hipcheck after turning, and if he doesn't, keep attacking. Just remember to position yourself so that he HAS to turn to face you. Don't remain in front of him as his move finishes, for example, try and be towards his back, past his middle part, so he has to turn around, you then have time to run towards his head. Rinse and repeat. Or use gunlance, that's what I'd recommend. Gunlance rocks. Thanks for watching 🙂

After having fun beating Rathalos and Rathain on an urgent quest. Then, I was depressed when I found out that there were two of Plesioth waiting for me. 😢
Haha yeeah, oof I'd recommend trying the gunlance 😅 I have a g rank video where I fight a plesioth with gunlance, you should be able to follow it for any of the ranks though. I find it pretty consistent. Either way, I hope you're having a good time 🙂
@@HeadHunter455 I've never used the gunlance before. I'm more comfortable using a sword. But I tried it as you suggested. And it worked very well. I was able to beat both of them without fainting. That’s cool 🤩🤩
Hey, great job! 😄 Yeah, some weapons and monsters are much better match ups than others, I try my best to find something that works really well, rather than force a weapon that is less favorable to work. It's possible, sure, but I'd rather take something that I can give to others and have them reasonably copy it 🙂 Keep it up! I actually farmed the G-Rank Plesioth armor with Gunlance and it was practically painless haha
Another thing i might add, you can actually break plesioth's dorsal fin by attacking the belly (for some reason). I believe this also applies to cephadrome and lavasioth
If you are using melee weapons like LS, I really recommend you to try out LBG against it. Pierce shots seem to work really well on him since it’s quite big. Also bring some Thunder and Fire shots if you can.
Village plesioth has the same moves as G Plesioth. Besides doing the horizontal water jet on land (plessy stands tall and does it, so you're safe close) and flying from one side to the other on old desert, the fight is the same. Just keep those two moves in mind + headhunter's guide and you'll be fine If you go gunner, make sure that he's facing you if you're using thunder or piercing shots to maximize damage, and melee is the exact same in the video. And if you're hunting solo, leave your felyne at home. Even if both of you are crouching when you try to fish him, Plesioth will detect the cat
gunlance and sns are weapons that work very well as they have a easy time blocking all plasy fisical atacks if you have trouble with the I-frame roll and all the range weapons are a safe pick too dude i m a veteran hubter and waching all these videos these are pure gold, i even like that you using the longsword, as is the best new player weapon, that has no reall gimicks just atack and dogue good job hunter
You mean can I make a video about it? Either way, yeah you can, but it wont always (or most of the time.... or ever...?) be exactly when the roar happens, it's a strange timing you have to learn for each monster, and you can't roll through every roar in the game, some longer ones like Khezu, Monoblos, and the long Basar/Gravios roar for example, I think. Even if you try to dive through some of them you'll still get hit by them when you get up, which is worse than if you hadn't dove at all lol
Omg I just spent the last 2 and a half hours trying to kill this dumb fish. First with HH - nearly got him a couple times - eventually switched to Lance and by hook or by crook I got the f*cker
It should go between areas 6 and 7 if you wait long enough. If it's not in one, it should be in the other. If it leaves one, it should come back sooner or later. Eager Cleaver is a very good weapon to use against him, good luck!
It practically will only work once, however, it should work any time Plesioth isn't aware of you in the area. If Plesioth knows you're there, he won't go for it. Sometimes he can see you as you're trying to use the frog so be careful, though that usually doesn't happen unless you mess up the timing or get too close before throwing out the bait or something. You'll know if you're detected or not because there's an eye next to your name if the monster sees you.
I can’t believe that after a while, I finally was able to roll through the infamous hip check because of this video. It really helped me get through HR guild Hall green plesioth alone. Took me a whole day of reloading save states (had to really learn the timing), but I was kinda able to do it like at least 70% of the time. Amazing guide, 10/10, could use a little more Steven the coping rat though
are you using any mods? emulator? Cause this looks unreasonably good for a game that came out over 10 years ago on a PSP! The room textures are very old but the player model and armor textures look so clean when stretched to my 24 inch monitor in 720p. Like this could be the new runescape character model and it would be an upgrade in every way
It's being emulated on PPSSPP, with some upscaling on the resolution and textures and some antialiasing I think. Yeah, some things got more detail and attention that you can really see when you upscale things, it's nice :) ppsspp.org/ this is the best PSP emulator, as far as I can tell. It's the only one I've used, it's very good.
👉😉👉 It's a CW cheat, I don't recommend you use it for normal play, and you definitely shouldn't use it when playing in HunsterVerse, because if you get caught, you'll be banned from multiplayer.
@@HeadHunter455 I see. Well, I haven't heard of Hunsterverse because of my worries with online inconvenience such as lag spikes due to each hunter not living in the same country/server region, and I'm still new to online Monster Hunter on the PPSSPP except WLAN with my brother. I'll give Hunsterverse a try though and try to make space to reinstall MHFU again. ✊😄✊
lol, well, either way I hope it works. Plesioth can be pretty frustrating, even for me, I fought a couple earlier just to clear up the quest log lol I hope it helps! Good luck! 🙂
Plesioth is when the game subjectively tells you to get a thunder capable ranged weapon or get fucked, or a thunder sns, that's also a nice strat but sns range is poop and i don't like it as much
Yeah I think using a ranged weapon is a good alternative if people are having a lot of trouble with Plesioth. I haven't covered ranged vs Plesioth yet which is kinda funny, but maybe I will when I meet it in G rank 😅😅
i have no problem fighting plesioth i kill it on my first time using great sword, but why green plesioth do lot more hipcheck than the normal one? That suck Sorry, my english is bad....
That's ok, Green Plesioth is much more land based, it will come onto land and stay on land more than regular plesioth, which is good if you want to be able to attack it, but it'll do melee attacks more often I think, not too sure.
If you want to, you should be able to apply the general strategy to your own preferred weapon, there will definitely be easier weapons to fight some monsters with though, so if you're having trouble, consider trying the weapon I'm using to see if it helps.
I just took down this bastard 😂 was using SnS, it took me around 20 minutes-ish, 18 megapots, 10 sonic bombs , 3 steaks , 2 carts 😂 and 2x retries. If i had failed at my last run, maybe i would have changed to HBG 😂 it was unique experience but not for the 2nd time 😂 if I face plesitoh again , i think i will use hbg instead 😂
@danielfilliphus1261 Hey, good job! I'd recommend a thunder Bow or LBG, but in G rank I'd definitely say Gunlance would be my go to weapon, and it would work really well in low and high rank as well. Keep it up! 😁

Yeah, some weapons and monsters are much better match ups than others, I try my best to find something that works really well, rather than force a weapon that is less favorable to work. It's possible, sure, but I'd rather take something that I can give to others and have them reasonably copy it 🙂
Keep it up! I actually farmed the G-Rank Plesioth armor with Gunlance and it was practically painless haha
Holy... a way to dodge the hipchecks? Man I knew they made memes about the hitboxes and stuff about it but a way to dodge?! 🤯
😅😅
Perfect timing is your best bet. Keep practicing. Or just slap evasion +2 on your armor, and play like you're playing dark souls
This fish is actually a fun hunt
If you're a masochist.

😅💦
Ohh!! Thanks for guide i manage to slay it thanks
Good Job! I'm glad it's helped 😄😄
Thanks man for the help I always plant bombs under him thank you cat brain
I was using LS but after fighting plesioth I farmed blowgun in training until i got the hang of it
Another thing i might add, you can actually break plesioth's dorsal fin by attacking the belly (for some reason). I believe this also applies to cephadrome and lavasioth
Bro..can you tell me some Tips for High Rank Plesioth.... they are really hard...
I'm not sure what moves high rank plesioth adds, if any, but I feel like this guide might give you an idea for the most part, hopefully.
I kill them with Great Sword and GG
If you are using melee weapons like LS, I really recommend you to try out LBG against it. Pierce shots seem to work really well on him since it’s quite big. Also bring some Thunder and Fire shots if you can.
Village plesioth has the same moves as G Plesioth. Besides doing the horizontal water jet on land (plessy stands tall and does it, so you're safe close) and flying from one side to the other on old desert, the fight is the same. Just keep those two moves in mind + headhunter's guide and you'll be fine
If you go gunner, make sure that he's facing you if you're using thunder or piercing shots to maximize damage, and melee is the exact same in the video.
And if you're hunting solo, leave your felyne at home. Even if both of you are crouching when you try to fish him, Plesioth will detect the cat
@@HeadHunter455 Nice Vid Btw bro...as good as ever...
gunlance and sns are weapons that work very well as they have a easy time blocking all plasy fisical atacks if you have trouble with the I-frame roll
and all the range weapons are a safe pick too
dude i m a veteran hubter and waching all these videos these are pure gold,
i even like that you using the longsword, as is the best new player weapon, that has no reall gimicks just atack and dogue
good job hunter
lol thanks, glad you like my videos 😊
It's weird that he's not affected by flash bombs in this game but is in 3 Ultimate
yeah they changed a lot of stuff throughout the series, makes me wonder why they choose to do some things the way they do sometimes
Can confirm fighting it with a hammer is rough
😩
I have a question, can you detect when to evade by making sound as reference to ALL monsters?
You mean can I make a video about it?
Either way, yeah you can, but it wont always (or most of the time.... or ever...?) be exactly when the roar happens, it's a strange timing you have to learn for each monster, and you can't roll through every roar in the game, some longer ones like Khezu, Monoblos, and the long Basar/Gravios roar for example, I think. Even if you try to dive through some of them you'll still get hit by them when you get up, which is worse than if you hadn't dove at all lol

ruclips.net/video/H9OWTclRiOA/видео.html Check out Plesioth in G rank!
The thing that makes me hate the plesioth is his hitbox and his fricking size I almost can't see a thing because of that 😡
Omg I just spent the last 2 and a half hours trying to kill this dumb fish. First with HH - nearly got him a couple times - eventually switched to Lance and by hook or by crook I got the f*cker
Also, I knew about the frogs as bait but I kept doing it in area 6 and didn't know why it wouldn't work 🤷🏿♂️
Nice! I've heard Lance is pretty good against it, I might give it a try sometime :P Good job! :D
@@TeddyMack
Frogs are good for getting Plessy out of water.
Does the plesioth eventually come back to seven?
After it goes to 6?
Because I am thinking of fighting him in kut ku armor set and eager cleaver.
It should go between areas 6 and 7 if you wait long enough. If it's not in one, it should be in the other. If it leaves one, it should come back sooner or later.
Eager Cleaver is a very good weapon to use against him, good luck!
master yoda ...!

I frame exists in mhf1
Does it?

aw shiet...

Now ima fight with this Thicc fish
😩💦💦💦
I just beat 2 green plesioth.... It was nightmare....
😩
Does the frog bait only work the first time or can you do it again every time it goes in the water?
It practically will only work once, however, it should work any time Plesioth isn't aware of you in the area.
If Plesioth knows you're there, he won't go for it. Sometimes he can see you as you're trying to use the frog so be careful, though that usually doesn't happen unless you mess up the timing or get too close before throwing out the bait or something.
You'll know if you're detected or not because there's an eye next to your name if the monster sees you.
Plesioth did atleast 10 tail whips 💀💀
For real 😭😭😭
How to have that details for the monster that you were fighting? 5:48
It's a CW Cheat called HP Display
@@HeadHunter455 thank you.
Lance and gunlance murders it with ease

Question: did you spam farm Khezu for the Electro Sacs for the eager cleaver? Thanks man, been getting back into MHFU slowly
Yes, Electro Sac is only from Khezu: monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/MHF2_and_MHFU:_Sac_List#Electro_Sac
No problem! Hope you're having a good time :)
@@HeadHunter455 good stuff man, thanks a lot!
Yeah, some things got more detail and attention that you can really see when you upscale things, it's nice :)
ppsspp.org/ this is the best PSP emulator, as far as I can tell. It's the only one I've used, it's very good.
im sooo very much happy when this Goddamm fish DIES!! thank you so much for making this video
Wait, how do you have a HUD that shows Plesioth's HP?
👉😉👉
It's a CW cheat, I don't recommend you use it for normal play, and you definitely shouldn't use it when playing in HunsterVerse, because if you get caught, you'll be banned from multiplayer.
I'll have to grind a lot for that armor, lol

It's not really worth it unless you like how it looks tbh

if the rolling worked. i will sub cause this stupid plesioth makes me rage.
lol, well, either way I hope it works.
Plesioth can be pretty frustrating, even for me, I fought a couple earlier just to clear up the quest log lol
I hope it helps! Good luck! 🙂
the i-frame did work. but i still need to master it like dodging roars in ice borne.
6:07 how do you get that monster's hp counters?
It's a cheat.
Hey headhunter you'll gonna comeback aren't you?
I've been working on the next video for the past week or so, I'll upload it when it's done, thanks for your patience.
HIP CHECK

i have no problem fighting plesioth i kill it on my first time using great sword, but why green plesioth do lot more hipcheck than the normal one? That suck
Sorry, my english is bad....
That's ok, Green Plesioth is much more land based, it will come onto land and stay on land more than regular plesioth, which is good if you want to be able to attack it, but it'll do melee attacks more often I think, not too sure.
@@HeadHunter455
That's true.
Green Plesioth becomes enraged easily than the regular one.
3:47 Play at double speed: he's looking for his favorite basketball player. ☺☻
In area 6 you can cheese him with a ranged weapon if you are on top of the cliff
I personally dont get why so many people hate Plesioth when Gravios exist
tru
Gravios is easy if you have bombs. But for Plesioth, you have to stockpile on Sonic Bombs or Barrel Bombs if you want them to stay out of the water.
Plesioth is piss easy even without tools, tools made it even easier + Optional Quest + Lower tier monster and less health than Gravios
@@Airidescent
Yeah, and you can ONLY use 1 Pitfall Trap to capture it because you can easily notice that its fins fold down when its limping.
Should i use the same weapon as you?
If you want to, you should be able to apply the general strategy to your own preferred weapon, there will definitely be easier weapons to fight some monsters with though, so if you're having trouble, consider trying the weapon I'm using to see if it helps.
wait thers a shortcut?.....no wayyy i didnt know bout that

what do you mean optional
@salade5324 this is an optional quest, not a key quest, you don't have to do this one to progress in the game, at least in the village here.

@danielfilliphus1261 Hey, good job!
I'd recommend a thunder Bow or LBG, but in G rank I'd definitely say Gunlance would be my go to weapon, and it would work really well in low and high rank as well.
Keep it up! 😁
Use gunlance
