You genuinely don't believe it's a thing until you see it with your own eyes or you are in a situation. But after that, I learned that because we have a very high deer population that lures cougars further into our area. So wild! I will never forget that experience.

Funny, America has a whole generation that think they are Grizzly Adams without the the Bear! Two generations ago you wouldn't go into the Bush without being well prepared and heeled!
Long story short.. my dad just died at 85. He grew up hunting in VA woods or they didn't eat. Gov took all our family land, several generations to make it a preserve. Luckily they couldn't touch the church and graveyard. They have a yearly decoration day and many come from all over to the old graveyard to see everyone and remember, etc. The house my dad lived in is still there, 3 houses remain but you must hike up a ways to get to them. The 2 dirt roads are gone that they had. Dad wanted so badly to go see it just one more time.. to see his home. But he refused to go up when some others did cause he said he hunted those woods and he knows there's bear in them and he wouldn't step foot in them without a pewpew.. and they aren't allowed to have them on the land any more. The whole damn thing the gov did was sad..destroyed everything. All those families in the 2 roads into the holler they all owned for years were all related. You grew up with your cousins, when grandparents needed something the children and grandchildren came to help, etc. Once they got the money the gov said each land was worth.. they couldn't rebuild somewhere else all together like that ever again.. so everyone was separated. sorry I made it long.. 😔
The last one, with the Mountain Lion, was a couple years ago in Utah. The guy was on a run when he came upon young cats on the dirt road. The Mom then appeared and was unhappy about it all and she followed him for more than five minutes. When she finally turned and ran, it was to get back to her kittens.

At around 6:00, someone didn't put the saddle on tight enough. There's a full video of the guy backing away from the lion somewhere on RUclips. If it's the same person, he was running in the wilderness, and accidentally stumbled into a mtn. lion/puma/cougar/catamount (different regional names for the same animal) with tiny cubs, if it's the same video. Correction, it's the video around 10:00.
Bear spray is great against bears and easy to carry. A handgun will only anger a large preditor if used. Also, if you fish in Florida, great fishing by the way, you can expect to see a gator sooner or later.
Where I live I see deer every day, I've seen bear prints, my neighbor saw a cub get hit by a car 300 feet from the house, I've dealt with rabid racoons, possums, and even a rabid groundhog. We have mountain lions, we have eastern coyotes (which you don't want to screw with ever - interbred mix of dog wolf and coyote and can grow to over 70 pounds), we have a fox I see every day. All kinds of animals and all kinds of dangers. I've been stalked by animals at night before, you can hear them in the woods and feel them staring at you.
That moose looks like it's on Glenallen Hwy near Anchorage, AK. Moose seem pretty mellow, but they can get really agitated and attack, especially if you're anywhere near their baby. Moose kill more people in Alaska than grizzly bears by stomping on them.
Not all videos are fake especially with wild animals lol 1:30 thats a grizzly bear and back in 2016 a guy in Montana got attacked by one (the same one twice) and drove himself to the hospital and made a full recovery which is insanely awesome lol (look up "bear attacks Montana guy" and it'll be the 2nd and 3rd article)
The word is gators can run fast in a straight line .. when I lived in Florida we were told to cut left and right when running from them. Not sure if it works, not willing to test the theory.
I was driving in an area called Antelope Island in Utah U.S.A about 10 years ago, and there’s is about 700 wild American Bison on the island. While I was driving several large Bison walked out into the middle of the road and stopped, so of course I slowly stopped so I didn’t hit them. The Buffalo were standing there for several minutes and the car behind me was super impatient and started honking his car horn, and for whatever reason the sound of the horn enraged this huge male Buffalo, and the Bison decided to charge my car assuming I was the one honking the horn since I was in front of the line, and the Bison hit the front end of my car running full speed and completely totaled the front end of a my little pick up truck I bought a few weeks earlier. I definitely had a few words for the guy honking the horn and we almost went toes, but do to certain reason cooler heads prevailed.
The guy filming and narrating his retreat from a mother bear has to be gen z. Darwin Award level of stupid to be in a life threatening situation and the only response is “well, best get a record of this!”
Most of those were a little bit tight on the chances of getting hurt but most handled it well. When I was a kid me and my friends were hunting rabbits. when a single cougar not that big hissed at us and started acting aggressive scared us two quick shot down between us and it was over it ran off. So it does happen now an again really
He did the right thing. Back up. don't run, don't turn your back to it. Did you see the way it charged and stomped its feet? It was saying... " back the F... Up or I'm going to attack you!!!". Given the way it drove the guy off I'd say that ether it had cubs or food near by. If it was hunting it would not have broken off after such a short distance. Lions who are looking at you as possible food look for weaknesses and would follow you for miles. My advice is ..... If you are going to be in a place with apex predators learn as much as you can about how they act and interact. It'll tell you a lot
(Video) "I have a gun." (Reaction) "Such an American thing to say." (Reaction with Cougar/Puma) "Why would you not take a little something to protect yourself?" (ME) "You mean a gun?" (ME) "What a British thing to say." Watch out for those birds, Yorkies, and Spaniels. 🤣🤣😘😘👍👍
I live in north Florida, I have a small, around 5 foot female alligator in the pond in my back yard. I won’t go back there. The neighbor says she’s nice. I’m from Delaware just came down here to take care of my dad. It freaks me out.
My first instict was to say lol. But I had to stop and have pity on you. Honestly it won't harm you at all. We aren't their food. I grew up here. We literally swim in the lakes and waterways. Our children grew up swimming in them. Look up how many gators are in Fl and how many ppl swim these waters. The bites are rare and deaths much rarer. They are only a danger to us in the water once it starts getting late afternoon.. we get out. That's when they are going into the water to eat. During the day you'd see it sunning out of the water.. they are cold blooded and must soak up the sun. They sleep in the daytime. So are seriously not interested in us at all. I hope you please just think about things I've explained and start allowing yourself to enjoy the backyard.
On land they are heavy and don't run fast. They can do little spurts only. When they use to much energy their body makes an acid that causes them to not be able to move so if they do this in water they will drown. So they have an instinct NOT to over do it. Look up zombie gators define if you want to understand this more. oh.. we are taught to run zigzag on land as children here.. but I've never ever seen one go after anyone on land. They will actually go Itty the water to retreat to get away from us.. they will hiss if you've cornered them as they just want to get away.
You laugh, but the guy on the bike being charged by the moose did exactly the right thing. He played dead. He knew exactly what to do, and it saved his life.

There are millions of gators and hundreds of thousands of ppl swim in waterways with them in several states.. bites are rare and deaths even rarer because they don't look at us as a food source.
Once it's late afternoon, GET OUT OF THE WATER.. they are starting to wake up and going on search of food.
I live in rural NC. You do not go in the woods without a gun.
@@virginiarobbins7539 I understand, many wrongs are done in the name of progress to hide many things.
My favorite elephant. Lady, you aren’t that big of a deal
that guy on the bike did the right thing for sure
The last one, with the Mountain Lion, was a couple years ago in Utah. The guy was on a run when he came upon young cats on the dirt road. The Mom then appeared and was unhappy about it all and she followed him for more than five minutes. When she finally turned and ran, it was to get back to her kittens.
Great video
People do not realize how dangerous they are until they're dead Don't mess with mother nature
OCTOPUS, are scary smart. 👍🍀
The gentleman on the paddle boat caught a river, Otter. Not rare in south America but they do bite.
Moose are a lot more dangerous than most people think. I had to play ring around the rosy with a very pissed off bull moose and a tree. He fucked me all up
The guy in the pool left his girl when that gator jumped in. Wonder what happened when they got back in the house and made sure everyone was ok lol.
The bike tip over one is a mom moose with bay. dont mess with moose. they are huge
The person on the bike with the moose was so close to death. Especially since there were calves involved.
The mountain lion one it followed him for like a mile.
Omg that last one is in Utah I believe hahaha
That shark realized that it wasn't his food source so he stopped and left.. no point in getting out.. man was safe.
We got gators everywhere in Louisiana. When i was little i went to school with a step cousin for a day in Indiana. They asked if we had alligators in our backyard. I said there was one on my daddys picnic table. Everyone laughed and i didnt know why. Lmao. I do now tho
Damn they are high as hell
James says Oh My Days a lot in this video.
Wow. Some of this stuff was intense
At 6:20 is a crocodile in Australia.
I love how James always seems to be the optimist, and Millie is the opposite.
Some people carry 'Bear Spray' in the wood not only for bears.
Here in the Pacific northwest we run naked in the with Bigfoot.
That was a mama Caribou that charged the guy on a bike.
That moose looks like it's on Glenallen Hwy near Anchorage, AK. Moose seem pretty mellow, but they can get really agitated and attack, especially if you're anywhere near their baby. Moose kill more people in Alaska than grizzly bears by stomping on them.
If you look VERY carefully, that shark was after a fish near the person wading in the water.
Not all videos are fake especially with wild animals lol
1:30 thats a grizzly bear and back in 2016 a guy in Montana got attacked by one (the same one twice) and drove himself to the hospital and made a full recovery which is insanely awesome lol (look up "bear attacks Montana guy" and it'll be the 2nd and 3rd article)
His name is Todd Orr.
The alligator that came into that pool and chased that woman,, would have been on the GRILL with butter and Lemon 🍋 , Old Bay and potatoes 🥔 😋.
The word is gators can run fast in a straight line .. when I lived in Florida we were told to cut left and right when running from them. Not sure if it works, not willing to test the theory.
Think he's either high or the poor guy has got a cold :(
9:35 You mean like a gun? "that's such an American thing" though ... just kidding! Reason number 837 to carry a gun
Good thing it's on video, because how do you explain that to your insurance company.
You two appear to be tired or under the weather. Hope you get some rest and feel better soon.
The guy filming and narrating his retreat from a mother bear has to be gen z. Darwin Award level of stupid to be in a life threatening situation and the only response is “well, best get a record of this!”
That last video, the original was 6 minutes of him being chased my that lion
Funny, earlier in video "I have a gun, such an American thing..." Later on, "Why don't you take a little something to protect yourself with?"
Moose like Bison are totally unpredictable. I've experienced a Bison chase not fun.
Octopus have been known to eat sharks.
Unless that's a high caliber gun or the Gator turns to show it's belly to you, it's not going to do much to it.
A can of bear spray works great for virtually all animals.
Gators can run up to 20mph on land ,lots faster than you'd think
I would never go out into the wilderness without a gun tbh.
Moose are very dangerous as are bears and Mountain Lions. Always look at them from a distance. A far distance!
Never, ever walk up behind a horse and not let it know you are there. That's not a stick, it's a murder log.
I’ve been chased by a badger once.
Gator's can run really fast but it will take 3 hrs to recover I've heard but not really sure that for a hundred feet they can put run a horse
