- We review the new KISS Funko Pop collection and we compare the original Kiss Funko Pop set to the new version. This set includes The Demon Funko Pop, The Spaceman Funko Pop, The Catman Funko Pop and Starman Funko Pop. Kiss Funko Pops are part of the Funko Pop Rocks collection which has many rock bands. Peter didn’t wear green till sometime in 1976 after they got the Destroyer outfits, that’s why he’s not wearing it in the Alive outfit.
I love the new catman the only thing it needs is the green eyeshadow then it would be PERFECT

New spacemen is tommy, not ace, you can see the difrence with the old funko, new has an square face
Martin Roosjen nope, if it were Tommy, if would say his name, it’s Ace, it’s based off his 75-76 look, that’s why it says the Spaceman because they don’t want to pay Ace for his name.
ShockMe1994 The box doesn’t have Ace’s name on it either. Tommy wore that outfit too, and he does the makeup the exact style on the new pop. That’s also more of Tommy’s hairstyle. The old resembles Ace, cause the makeup is the way Ace did it, and the old one has more of Ace’s haircut.
StarCaptain 7733 the way Tommy wears his hair & does the makeup, is the way Ace did it in the early days, 75-76 when they wore these Alive outfits. If these were based off Tommy & Eric, they would’ve put Tommy & Erica real names on the box, like they do for things based off them, when it’s based off Ace & Peter, they use the character names.
@@ShockMe1994 In the Scooby Doo and KISS movie, they called both Tommy and Eric 'The Spaceman' and 'The Catman.' I own KISS merchandise that has Ace or Peter's names on the box. I also have KISS merchandise that says 'Spaceman' and 'Catman', when it's obviously Tommy and Eric. Ace has never styled his hair the way Tommy's is. The new funko pops are based off of Tommy and Eric, while the old funko pops are Ace and Peter.

Since Ace Frehley & Peter Criss are no longer in the band & since they sold their makeup & likenesses to Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley, they wrote the characters on the packages instead of their names because they don’t want to pay Ace & Peter for their names.
Thank you for all the great info!!! I love learning about the history of bands. And its crazy the work around as to not pay Ace and Peter is to not use their actual names. And yes, they all have not looked so good! Im very happy to have both these sets in my collection. Thanks for watching and again all the great information regarding the band!
Tots Toy Collector no problem! Anytime! Ace & Peter would have more say but they also sold their half of the band that they owned as well.
I only have the old version of the star child it was the first Funko Pop I got it was originally my dads and he the hands are loss sadly
Very cool, I like the old version of Star Child, but his hands are missing from the Pop?
Only on of them are loss I super glued the hand back on
