I’ve been loading for over 40 years. You did a really good job explaining the process and the equipment. This is the kind of info that is very useful to new hand loaders. Really enjoyed your video.
Great press. Have one. Going on about 12 year's now. 80k+ rounds through it. Had to replace the index rod. And 4 square ratchets on it so far. Thinking about getting the newer version? Having a hard time finding index rods for it. I got rid of their powder thrower. And put a Hornaday thrower on it. Doesn't leak & extreme accurate throw's.
Great video; much more straight forward and to the point than most. What are your thoughts on de-priming in-line vs. doing it before hand? Unless I'm missing something, doesn't in-line de-priming preclude pocket cleaning and swaging? This seems especially problematic for military crimped primer pockets, yes?
I am considering this to start reloading. I would like to do .223, 300 blackout, 9mm, and some 7.62, it sounds like this will do. I heard you mention it may be too short for rifle cases?
7 mm mag case length is 2.5". This press can, in auto-index mode, handle cases (per Lee website) up to 2.313." Your options are to use this turret with auto-index disengaged or get the Classic Turret from Lee which accommodates a max case size (in auto-index mode) of 3 1/16" (3.0625"). You can figure this stuff out on your own by going to the Lee website and looking at either product descriptions or manuals and by looking up caliber case sizes (and all other specs) on wiki.

Very clear instructions, made me more confident in getting into reloading.
I'm thinking of getting into reloading .357 and .44 Magnum. Very informative video. Thank you!

I bought one of these back in 2009. This version of the value press was replaced about five years ago.
That bench base oughta be plenty sturdy!!
Hi Pete, really good info. I recall you were going to do a video on 9mm reloading after review of the SGC lever action rifle. Hope to see it soon!
Great video and great information
Great job. Thx

What's the dimensions of the wood panel that you used for mounting? LxWxH?

Thank you for telling me it's not for large rifle bullets.
