Must be pretty satisfying when you fix something, or find something that's done poorly and fix it before it breaks, knowing that the lives of your crewmates and the safety of all that expensive ship and cargo, depends on you!
Wow! Very surprising to see another Eastaway youtuber, all the best for your channel bro! Im with Eastaway in Europe on the Baltic services happy sailing where ever you may be.
Very good man! Congratulations! You work os perfect! I am studying to acquire my stcw certification to a maritine electrician in brazil. Success to you!!!
Looks a great job to flit around such a large ship, different tasks. That gland on the float switch didn't seem watertight, also its orientation could be better.
Hi sir. I'm an aspiring ETO and currently an ETO Cadet. I just want to ask if you found the root cause of the found blown fuse? I am curious since I think it is precautionary to find the root cause first before replacing the busted fuse. Very great video sir btw and more power to you!
I assume you are referring to the last part of the vid. Sorry I did not find the root cause of the blown fuse. But I suspect that since in a set of fuse, there are 5-10 reefer sockets connected, and motors such as compressors, evaporator and condeser fans switch on and off from time to time, if a couple of motors would start at the same time, there starting current could cause the fuse to get blown. Thanks!
Thank you so much sir! Just saw your answer today and it does make sense after my recent exp. Will be an ETR now for my 2nd contract and hopefully ETO by next contract. More power to your channel sir. 🫡🫡🫡

If the fuse was blown why didn't you wear protection when replacing it? If the circuit is shorted somewhere couldnt it be dangerous if it blows in your face like that?
Just goes to prove that the work never stops for the marine electrician, and that his meter, and his knowledge, is his constant, best friends…..⚡️🔌💡🛠

What is the difference between Electrical Engineer and Electrician?
Please, can anyone explain?
Most likely one is an office who direct job and other is the one who do the work. I'm not so sure.
An engineer does drawings and specs for jobs and an electrician does the physical labour involved
