0:37-0:44 It is the SP (Security Police) (警視庁警備部警護課) , like the secret service in the US. It's job is to protect the VIP. They are always(but not all) driving all-black vehicle with hidden lights and a few extra antenna in the back.
their most famous action is to stick their bodies out of the car to make a traffic control when escorting
So they basically protect Japanese emperor Naruhito as well as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and their wives.
@@michaellovely6601 The Imperial Family is the Security Department's Vigilance Division(警視庁警備部警衛課) and the Imperial Court Police Guard Division(皇宮警察護衛部).
Other important people, Security Division(警視庁警備部警護課).
@@kttmmoto Okay, thanks for the clarification.
i like how they standardized everything properly there
Keep it up!

Nice!
4:21 anyone know what that vehicle is for? I feel like I know, but want to make sure lol.
This is the field commander's vehicle for the riot police.
Love the halogen rotator bars
我が国のパトカーかっけぇ!!🥰
That's a lot of riot buses starting at 1:10, but saw no riot suppression armored trucks.
simple like from anime in Tokyo Ghoul S2 Kaneki Destroy a Riot Buses?
They don't live in a gun society, so riot police don't have armored vehicles.
1:08: BUS 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
c'est moi ou vous parlez français quand vous filmé
It’s not a bus it is ae86 bus
oh he got pull over i wounder for what
Because he was turning Japanese 😎 or maybe because he was Chinese? I feel like that's how it goes lol.
Why no sirens¿
061zgz ; to put someone to prison, no siren is necessary.
but no lights, either.
you know that accidents happen right? or a shooting
Because when people pay attention and respect the emergency services lights, there is no need to make lots of noise to get the drivers attentions.
they're not really responding in most of this compilation, only patrolling so no siren. you can find plenty compilations of them responding though (i know it's 5 years but some of these answers are misleading)
Not into sirens, are they?
they are not responding most of the times in this compilation. The Japanese Police uses their Lights while patrolling
Coltsmith wow
Interesting
They are just patrolling or finished their responding so there are no sirens
sa - No it doesn't...
I wonder why Japanese police vehicles do not have blue flashers to go with the red flashers? For that matter they have hardly any flashers.
Japanese law states that red lights denote emergency vehicles. Blue flashing lights are mostly used for security vehicles. However, I've seen some fire command vehicles use steady-burn blue lights at night, and some police escort vehicles use blue steady-burn or flashing lights.
The western way is not golden standard.
@@dxb8086 No, not necessarily but red is one of the least effective emergency colors, since it blends in with traffic, especially when used on its own, what makes it worse is that they use them when just patrolling diluting their importance and relying increasingly on sound input, sound is not only less effective at making a vehicle noticed but of course doesnt work if the driver is deaf.
While i think red only can look nice i would personally at the very least change the lights in the grill to blue and add some amber lighting to the rear. And have some different flash-patterns to signal what the car is doing.
@@isakjohansson7134 Note: I am Japanese, and I use machine translation.
In Japan, there are some vehicles that use both red and blue lights, but most of them are used for security purposes.
The reason why Japanese police and firefighters use only red lights is because they can see better in the rain or fog.
I dont understand why japanese trucks so often use amber marker lights in the rear (usually the top rear). Wouldnt it make a lot more sense if they were red like in the rest of the world?
