Don't you just love it when you see a specific part of the demo and you're like " Gonna Ace this when i get the game" But when you get the game you fuck it up.
Since you're really good at this, I have two more questions. First, how do you increase arrows, poison darts, and rope darts capacity? In the game, it only show Cartridge Pouch level 3... And the second question is that, after I crafted Dual Holster and Washington Replica, how can I equip the? Thanks again for your help!
Has anyone else noticed that in this and in the Boston level Connor uses his bow left handed yet in the cinematic and unite to unlock trailer he uses it right handed?
yes!! you have to do many missions from the house (not sure how to called it in english), then you have to go to a book in the trade store or even in your house, you have to buy many things and then go to "develop" there are a lot of planes you can make, among those you can find the bags of some weapons.. I hope you understand, i didn't notice these until I complete the game
not to mention that back then bullets were just basically lead balls that barely travel half the speed of sound if not slower, not aerodynamic supersonic bullets we have now.
During the revolutionary war the British muskets took an average of 8 minutes to reload. If you watch again they shoot once but Connor is using a brit soldier to block the musket balls. Even if connor had not done that the chances of them actually hitting him are actually very low. Those muskets had a very low accuracy rate which is why armies at that time needed to stand in lines, etc etc.
Yes it takes place in the Animus. It's the Animus 3.0. The fact that Conner looking surprised is the environment around him, I mean did you see how many Red Coats there were before Conner assassinated the Templar
I think they could add a crafting element to it as well. Like, that would be the way that you get a larger health bar, maybe agility and stealth increases as well. Also the ability to color your own outfit, instead of just buying one like in Bro-Hood
pause at 1:39. Notice that there is a circle button symbol. you press this to dodge the wolf! Also, pause at 1:45. There is a sqaure button sybol, which allows you to kill the wolf! Fianlly! quick time events in AC III!
Ezio stopped, not only because he grew old, but he was weary and knew he wasn't the one who was to figure the rest out due to hints from his journey (The mention of Desomnd and how he was shrugged off by Minerva (Don't completely remember her name, was it Minerva?)) Due to what Desmond woke up to at the end of Revelations, I believe that place was (or, will be) discovered by Connor and some other minor secrets as well.
I think thats the main thing, they use the musket rifles for crowd control and ranged combat, but when they are outnumbering someone in close range they are going to fight with melee weapons obviously.
you need to remember that in every game so far in the series that the people who had power and were oppressing their subordinates were the templars and the assassin's were always on the side with less or no power. thats what this game is actually about. it just so happens that the revolutionary war is in the foreground.
I love how Connor doesn't wish his victims to rest in peace (not the important ones, anyway). I think working out what trees and ledges to jump to will be hard, just from watching this.
I think it's supposed to be a barter system. Currency outside of gold wasn't really a thing during those days. With the war and the individual colonies, money wasn't cohesive as we know it now or even as it was in italy or rome in AC 2/B/R. Here it's more likely that you get a monetary equivalent based on meat and pelts that you poach from wildlife.
It's not the same voice actor. Philip Shahbaz voiced Altair and Noah Watts is the voice of Connor. But Malik and Suleiman are in fact voiced by the same man.
I like how you are offered a form of protection from a line of gunmen firing at you (human shields) and that you can climb trees the way it's shown here. Of course, there's very obviously a lot of work to be done, but that's perfectly acceptable since it's not due to come out 'till October... Wait... It's already July... Hmm...
actually you can go to this fort and do the same thing but it won't be part of the MAIN story and it will not have silas for many reasons BUT silas will be replaced by jager and you will be able to go there same approach that was in this video
back then the bullets were basically small metal balls that travel at subsonic speed, not the aerodynamic supersonic bullets we have today, so no they can't go through a human shield, and even if they could, it would have absorb most of the impact and slow it down to be non-lethal.
It's unbelievable how they are still able to impress me with their games. Even after playing all the AC games they are still succeeding in giving a thrill
Did anyone notice that at 1:16 to 1:34 Conner doesn't have his bow on his back? And then it happens again at 2:40 to 3:06? I really hope it was just a bug in the demo. Or maybe this is an early mission in the game where Conner doesn't have a bow yet and they put the bow in so they could show it off during E3. Then again why does he still have his quiver on then? That is a really weird glitch. O.o
Hence the word "demo" they lined things up so you could get a taste of the game. The camp He was in does actually exist in the game but not in that place exactly i believe because i don't think there was a New England in the game, just Boston and New York.
Did you see how his pistols dangled when running? Also I heard that the way show here was one of three was into the fort, I also heard of 2 dozen speacies of animals and leaps of fait into deep snow
Random bit of irony, Age of Empires 3 was centered around this time period and now so is Assassin's Creed 3. Can't wait for it to drop in October it looks bad ass.
I didn't see how it functioned, it was hook and not a blade so alot of the moves subsequently didn't really appeal to me as working the same way. And the climb leap was similar, but I think your selling the utilization of it kind-of short, he did climb alot faster and move faster as well when free running along the rooftops, the hook run, the hook theft, the zip lines, all rather cool and useful given the nature of what we used to from both 2 and brotherhood.
I like how they completely redid the animations for Connor. Watching The running/sprinting animations stay the same for 4 straight games was almost too much to bear.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but do the buttons on the contact Connor is talking to say USA on them? Check out 2:57 to see for yourself. Just wondering if that is historically accurate, haha.
i wanna see enemies' blood shed onto Connors outfit instead of just where the hidden blade is, like splotches of blood on the cowl or cape thing or arms
I agree, but one of the other reasons it was a different voice actor for acr was probably due to the fact that the original altair didn't have a middle eastern accent.
Yeah hook theft, you countered by grabbing his purse, tearing it with the hook and got money. I loved doing that early on to get money quickly... and I also remembered the hooking the scaffolds and bringing them down when running away, great chase breaker.
Just wondering, anybody know if this takes place in the Animus? Or is this completely different from the Desmond Story? Because at the end, Conner looks surprised at the fact that the world is disappearing, like at the end of every sequence of the previous games.
yes. they said if you get caught by a deer then theyll just run away frightened and a little confused. if you get caught by a bear, they will instantly kill you and a cut scene will come on showing connor being fed to a bunch of baby cubs. its a VERY realistic game
Looks fantastic, although I don't understand why they would reverse the HUD. It'll take some time getting used to the map being on the left after playing four AC games with it on the right.
It does follow Revelations in the sense that it comes afterwards. I imagine you could still play the game without playing Revelations since this is an entirely new Assassin.
not assassin's as such, by doing side missions where you assist civilians you can call them in to dress up as redcoats and get you past guarded points. If you watch the commentated Boston gameplay you'll see it in use. But I think it's only missions where you basically save their life and they repay you. That's my understanding anyway. Either way watch the Boston gameplay where Alex Hutchinson is commentating :)
I agree but only in part, I did like the hook blades combat functions and moves, flying through the air and climbing was faster, and some of the finishing moves were brutal and nicely executed. But replacing the 2nd hidden blade entirely with the hook was not wise, it was hook, can't really call that for much of a "hidden blade" for double assassinations or some of the classic double hidden blade finishers really. It had it's uses... but despite that alone, I'm kind of hoping it will be back.
Yes, the developers would never dream of dropping an over arching story, especially an unfinished one. You do take control of Desmond and he does go inside the Animus. However, this is the last game where Desmond is the over arching protagonist. I imagine the new one will be Desmond's Eve or heck, maybe a kid of his in the future or some completely different person.
they have talked about some thing like that... there is suppose to be a hunting faction i think (like the mercs and thevies in the other ones) and you SHOULD be able to sell the stuff
I dont know for sure, but i dont think money is a variable anymore. In all the videos and research ive done i have not seen any mention of money or buying gear. Could be a new approach to the game. im still excited for it.
True, but I did mention that they could have been cheating the bow and pistols into the demo just for show and since these might be earlier missions in cutscenes they disappear. But if it just a bug then ,yes ,it should be easy to fix.
I wish this was actually how the mission went.
Next they should to Assassins creed in Feudal Japan
Well ummm... Ghost of Tsushima happened not that long ago. :D
You got your wish buddy... 😅
It took a while huh
Don't you just love it when you see a specific part of the demo and you're like " Gonna Ace this when i get the game" But when you get the game you fuck it up.
Notice that the way Connor uses his pistols is way cooler in this trailer than they way he actually does in the game.
1:47 Have you seen it? It can use the blade in standard form without activating the cable
I like the camera angle used in this demo when Connor hanged someone better than I did in the actual game.
i love how he can assassinate while hes running
Man, I remember like 9 months ago we only had the screen shots. Now we have a variety of trailers and game-play videos. I love America.
Has anyone else noticed that in this and in the Boston level Connor uses his bow left handed yet in the cinematic and unite to unlock trailer he uses it right handed?

you cannot complain with how connor sprints, its just that freaking awesome.
The way he climbs those trees is so awesome
plus muskets were actually design for melee as well as guns, there is a reason they have sharp bayonets on the end of their guns.
Favorite parts the big guy stopping conner ( didn't see that coming ) and the red coat who just side stepped Conner
not to mention that back then bullets were just basically lead balls that barely travel half the speed of sound if not slower, not aerodynamic supersonic bullets we have now.

I just love how you can perform a double counter kill.
you need to remember that in every game so far in the series that the people who had power and were oppressing their subordinates were the templars and the assassin's were always on the side with less or no power. thats what this game is actually about. it just so happens that the revolutionary war is in the foreground.

no im talking about a holster you can get to hold two total guns, thats a double barrel gun you looking at.
that mission represents the liberating forts objectives 1st destroy the fort's gunpowder and then kill the captain(the templar)
I think it's supposed to be a barter system. Currency outside of gold wasn't really a thing during those days. i still haven't found any gameplay videos where the animation slows down for the final kill, like in revelations.
in all publisher and developer, Ubisoft always surprise me with newthings. they have the most creative game that i ever seen. keep going Ubisoft
It's not the same voice actor. Philip Shahbaz voiced Altair and Noah Watts is the voice of Connor. But Malik and Suleiman are in fact voiced by the same man.

4:27 epic headbutt!
It's unbelievable how they are still able to impress me with their games. Even after playing all the AC games they are still succeeding in giving a thrill

The guy at 2:40 looks like the dood who works for SHIELD in the Avengers.
Hence the word "demo" they lined things up so you could get a taste of the game. The camp He was in does actually exist in the game but not in that place exactly i believe because i don't think there was a New England in the game, just Boston and New York.
the gun shooting technique in Black flag looks pretty freaking sick :D
Lol I like how when the wolves show up the deer turns into a mutilated carcus
Did you see how his pistols dangled when running? Also I heard that the way show here was one of three was into the fort, I also heard of 2 dozen speacies of animals and leaps of fait into deep snow
4:17 looked so brutal omfg i love that
I've watched this video hundreds of times and im still finding new things to love every time.
Ther part where he's fighting the wolves reminds me of the movie, 'The Grey', especially the last part of the movie.
Random bit of irony, Age of Empires 3 was centered around this time period and now so is Assassin's Creed 3. Can't wait for it to drop in October it looks bad ass.
Alright, that was the sweetest assassination I have ever witnessed in any AC game.
something i just noticed: conner haven't used eagle vision... if he has it
Boston is in New England, New England is a region where New York and Boston are located
Connor has the best running animation in all gaming history.
I love Connor's voice it really reminds me of my favorite assassin Altair lbn-La'Ahad.
You're forgetting that back then "bullets" were basically smooth rocks
That was quicker than I expected to see that reply!
After he kills the guy trying to sound the alarm, "why didn't i use my bow and arrow?"
yes it was, the first one was an frontier hunter mission and the fort was just one of the 6/12 to discover :P
The huntning and the horses remembers me at red dead redemption
its templar awarness like he said ''bro''
and until your comment, i was searching in all the game for the mission
I doubt they have a currency system like that now, I think you have to hunt for pelts, mostly because those were highly prized at those times.
Just wondering, anybody know if this takes place in the Animus? Or is this completely different from the Desmond Story? Because at the end, Conner looks surprised at the fact that the world is disappearing, like at the end of every sequence of the previous games.
They do move. Check the Boston demo and Machinima demo. Some of them will, some dont. Which makes sense, some where VERY hardy and old.
I could watch from 6:00-6:40 all day long
dont hold me to this but I swore i read/ heard that he had a detachable hidden blade that would count as a dagger
yes. they said if you get caught by a deer then theyll just run away frightened and a little confused. if you get caught by a bear, they will instantly kill you and a cut scene will come on showing connor being fed to a bunch of baby cubs. its a VERY realistic game
Yeah, like Ezio style of fighting was waiting for them to attack, then making it quick, and in this, Connor fights and makes it a lot more painful.
You can defiantly sell pelts I don't know about antlers though.
Not really because in all the other frontier demos he sheaths his bow and that bug still appears.
I love the AC series because unlike other games, you can always do what you see in the trailer.
Looks fantastic, although I don't understand why they would reverse the HUD. It'll take some time getting used to the map being on the left after playing four AC games with it on the right.
you don't understand the arrow is supposed to go on the opposite side of the bow your hand holding the bow is
It does follow Revelations in the sense that it comes afterwards. I imagine you could still play the game without playing Revelations since this is an entirely new Assassin.
its not ready, its a demo they still have to fine tune it and make that combat less choppy
Will there be any cities? Or just encampments and forts?
love the noise of the snow
I wonder how long this took to get so perfect you can never be this good no matter how hard you try
not assassin's as such, by doing side missions where you assist civilians you can call them in to dress up as redcoats and get you past guarded points. Approach silently...
Rocks up on a horse.
Yeah this was probably in the story during an earlier build but for some reason they removed it.
Assasins creed franchise somehow seems to create a new experience of historic games everytime even on the 5th assasins creed hurry up october 30th!
ye. and you don't see it until its jamming a blade in your eye. and looting your corpse, and picking it up and... the metaphor ended ages ago
its been exactly a year! i want my AC 4 demo!
Yes, the developers would never dream of dropping an over arching story, especially an unfinished one. You do take control of Desmond and he does go inside the Animus. However, this is the last game where Desmond is the over arching protagonist. Mother of god... They made animations so fluid.. AWESOME WORK UBISOFT!
the dagger was the hidden blade it comes out now when u want it to
they have talked about some thing like that... there is suppose to be a hunting faction i think (like the mercs and thevies in the other ones) and you SHOULD be able to sell the stuff
from what i have heard there are templars on both sides so you wont always be fighting against the british.
You can hunt whenever you want. Bears, raccoon, elk, etc. There are videos of it all over the place.
im not talking about level im talking about player skills you can do the same stuff on either console doesnt mean you are gonna be good at it
And still to this day brotherhood is my favorite ac game
It is, it is called every badass mission in the game
why not id be kinda hilarious just listening to him whatever his story is
I dont know for sure, but i dont think money is a variable anymore. In all the videos and research ive done i have not seen any mention of money or buying gear. Could be a new approach to the game. im still excited for it.
