My understanding is gold onlays/inlays are better for the posterior molars because less tooth have to be removed. For decades I never asked my Dentist questions about partial or full crowns materials and they gave me what they wanted without explanation. After learning the hard way, I asked my dentist
who wants to place a crown on a perfectly healthy molar # 32 to be exact, I asked her if she can do a gold onlay. She is preparing to align my molar for room to place implants.
Can't see
Dr can u tell me please when I can found this the gold onlay in any book??any source??
Can u tellme please are there any different between gold onlay and ceramic onlay in prep??beacuse I heared that gold make flat while ceramic is rounded in floor
Exactly correct - Ceramic Onlay you want rounded internal line angles. (Sorry I didn't see your question)
For ceramic onlays you do want rounded internal line angles.
