Thanks a millionnn, Cheree!!!!! 🤩🙌 That's such a sweet comment, and I can't believe how awesome Thinker Themer are for their kind words as well!!🤗 Thanks again!!😁
The Crew Quest for Planet 9 is on my desert island game list... The fact that there is a sequel is just a dream come true. Thank you so much for this review. I will wait for the english release but definitely a must buy. Keep up the great work
Thanks a bunch, SaiyanRoyalty!! ☺️🙏 This may be an even better desert island game because of the theme alone 🏝️😉 But you're so right! The first crew is such a great desert island pick and I think you'll love this one! It looks to come out in English in July 🤞🤞
So glad there's a channel devoted solely to trick-taking games! So many games I hope you'll end up covering in the future... Black Spy, Potato Man, Monster Trick, Five Cucumbers, Texas Showdown, Fool, Baha, Gorus Maximus, Spy Tricks, Rage... and so many more. Can't wait for more videos!
Hey Wes, thanks for all the AMAZING suggestions!! Some of these I've played and some I'm dying to play! But all are outstanding selections and I really do hope to cover each and everyone in the future! 😁 👍 Thanks so much for the kinds works and for watching! 😁🙌
Wow what did we do to deserve 2 videos in 2 days?! Thanks for another fun video. I haven't played the original but the changes here sound really interesting. How cool that they're making it into a system now. Looks like one of these days I'll need to try both.
Haha! I got a bit over-excited after playing some great games of it recently and I wanted to share😅 Thanks so much, Chris!! 😁🙌 Yeah, i love when changes in a sequel allow you to own both! (but maybe that's the hoarder in me talking haha!) I think both games lives up to the hype and I hope you get a chance soon to try them out! 🤞🤞
How have I never even heard of this!? I am a little torn. I think the original Crew has enough content to keep me going for years, but I like the theme of this one better! The way the missions are assigned looks interesting too.
@@luiscarlosqg I think the first one is a much easier on-boarding process, but the second one is what I'd come back to more. For the first time, I would say the fist The Crew though
I don't know if this is something that you all would be interested in, but I created a subreddit for The Crew because I would like to have a place to compare scores/strategies/etc about the crew. The subreddit is The_Crew_Card_Game don't feel any obligation to join anyone, but I wanted to put it here in case anyone was interested. Also, Taylor, I hope you don't mind me A.) using this comment to tell people about it, or B.) posting a link to your video in the subreddit. If you have a problem with either for any reason, just let me know and I'll delete the comment and the post on the subreddit.
Oh, good point Lawrence! The ordering tokens are missing, but I think some of their gameplay is in the task cards. Some tasks say with the first trick or the last. The tokens being assigned to random cards is definitely missing, you're right
Great video! Subscribed! How do the various missions actually change? Are there still some interesting twists within the missions themselves? Thanks for showing some of the new missions - seems quite interesting.
Hey Bez, thanks for the kind words!! 😁👍 I'd actually say there is less technical mission variety/twists because the task cards have so much variety in them. But there are some fun missions that are new/different for sure. I think the timed missions are a nice twist and the pool of tokens is a lot of fun. If you're looking for more interesting twists withoureliancece on twists, I'd recommend the 2 expansions to the original crew (boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/284083/crew-quest-planet-nine/expansions). These have amazing mission twists.
Great question B! I think it's possible, but with a little bit of work; For the original crew, you'd need the rulebook and the mission log book. Granted you have those, you'd need the deck (included in Deep sea), tokens for communication and captain(included in Deep Sea), and finally a smaller deck of task cards (not included in Deep sea). But! Those task cards are just a smaller version of the included deck. So, you could theoretically play the first one by shuffling the main deck, laying out cards from the deck as task cards, writing those down, then collecting them and resuffling and redealing. Then drafting those written down task cards and then playing like normally. So, it's doable, but with a bit of finagling. Hope that helped!
Thanks so much for making this video, it has made me really excited to play this game! (So much so that I'm gonna have a hard time waiting for the English version to come out) I have a question. Are the communication tokens always in a pool, or are they only in a pool when there's a mission that has the minus sign?
Cheers! Thanks for the kind words, Michael!! 😁😁 The communication tokens are only in a pool during specific missions, where that symbol at 11:37 shows up. Otherwise, it's the same communication as the original Crew. Thanks for watching!!
Hahaa i get that, Francis! I think there may be impossible setups, but i find that often players will think something is impossible, but we pull it off! There's always hope!
Great Question, JV! I'd say this one. The reason is that the Commander/Captain is the player who controls the dummy hand (Tardis) and has a lot of control. In Deep Sea, the Captain potentially has less duties as they can pass tasks now and give the other human player more duties. So, it's a bit more balanced. That said, they could just take a majority of the tasks still, so there is still a potential for quarterbacking. But overall, there should be more of a balance for responsibility in this version compared to the first one. Hope that helps!! 😁😁
Just got here from Thinker Themer and am loving your sense of humour and explanations 👍

It's tough because the original is amazing! I do think this is more of what I'd like to play over and over in the future. Such a hard choice!
The OG Crew is incredible but the task cards in this one seem to take it up a notch
They totally do, Bryan!! It's like night and day with how much they change things!
As a fan of the original I´m definitely getting this one too!
I think you'll love it!
Thanks for the review--can't wait to get this one!
Of course! Thanks so much for watching! 😁🙌
The crew is the best trick taking game ever but this looks better
I think it might be!!
Wow, this one seems quite better than the other "Crew".
For me, it really is! Such a fluid evolution that I can't wait to play more!
Thank you. I do not have the original "The Crew" should I get both, or only this second one?
@@luiscarlosqg I think the first one is a much easier on-boarding process, but the second one is what I'd come back to more. For the first time, I would say the fist The Crew though
Your intro was brilliant. Just subbed.
Thanks a ton, Sluggo!! 🤗 I'll let you know when my Ted Talk is ready haha! 😉

Hey Michael, sorry missing this! I just now caught it. Yeah this sounds awesome and I'll try checking out the subreddit later tonight. Cheers!
I love this video so much!
Thanks Lorena!!
I really like the 2p in the original version. But, I do see the ordering tokens are missing which is different. Overall, this looks really good.

The magic conch is my favourite character.
Hahaha!! Me too!!! Praise the magic conch! WOOLOOLOOLOO!
Good job #1 person!
Cheers!

This guy was a regular Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen!
HOMIE!!!!!!! HE WAS #1. You catch that magic conch later too?
Taylor, could you play the first Crew with the components in Mission Deep Sea? Assuming you can download the rule book of course.

I’m so bad at this game !😅 Is it possible that some missions (sets of mission cards) are just simply impossible to accomplish ?
Hahaa i get that, Francis! I think there may be impossible setups, but i find that often players will think something is impossible, but we pull it off! There's always hope!
This game is great, but I prefer the original just a tiny bit more. Solid game. It is #8 on my list.
I totally get that, and #8 isn't anything to sneeze at!
are the cards the same size as the original ?
Yep! They look the same 😁👍
Which version is better for a 2 players game?

What was it like developing No Man's Sky?
Oh shit, i do look like him don't I?
I'll be honest, that went over my head at first, like the sky haha
Lmao..does it make me better than Everyone? Yes it does...omggg lololol
Just being honest!!
blues clues spin off
Spin off?? I'm spiraling
Only if this was a good 2 player game :/
Oh nuts, I found it was interesting at 2, although not better than other player counts. I find the dummy hand can be played off of in fun ways
