Two answers to your question about why RUclips allowed Lil Nas X to release this video: 1) it’s really no different to the sort of sexual content which has appeared in, say, Rihanna or Beyoncé videos other than the fact it’s two guys, which should be irrelevant. 2) he’s one of the most exciting and authentic artists of our time, you don’t stop someone like that from distributing his art.

I think it's great what lil Nas X is doing. Music videos and media are saturated with straight sex (Cardi B etc), but it's only controversial when it's somebody gay being out and proud. He's living his truth and showing others who are different it's okay to be who they are.
