@@ブタでよろしく Are you talking about reaching 20 fire resistance to be immune to blast blight, or is there a higher threshold for it? And yes OP, the blast resistance skill gives me immunity to the slime blight as well
About the Barioth stuff. The monsters similar to its model, like Tigrex and Narga, changes the way they attack when their wings are broken. Breaking their wing will cause their charge attack to slip, causing a delay to their next attack.
Helping Paralyzed/Sleeping Teammates: The real tip is what is ALSO possible to help them that (almost) anyone can do: With Wide-Range, drinking an Energy Drink will cure sleep. You can also drink one while your own character is going to sleep (the animation cannot be cancelled this way though). For Paralyzed players, you can use a small bomb (or if desperately needed, a large barrel bomb followed by a quick clutch claw to explode it). This will send them flying with i-frames. The shoryuken emote should also do the same thing for either status effect (but the hit box is finnicky) Finally, a challenger mantle is extremely useful and underused. In this case, putting it on when someone is paralyzed or falling asleep should basically keep them safe by drawing the monster to you directly.
okay tips but people carrying energy drinks with wide-range is rare by it self and please by the love of god don't wake people with barrels it can/will aggro higher leveled monsters >.>
The sunfish scale 300% better than the jerky. Not only does it remove bleed it also heals you as much as a potion and gives you full yellow quick recovery for 3min. So any damage that you take that leaves you with a with red health is yellow making it recover crazy fast.
You can DEFINITELY built to resist Brachydios’ blastblight. 3 blast res. is all you need. It doesn’t stop from being blown up when the slime explodes but it completely nullifies any blast blight from him.
Thank you so much for this! I was on a catch quest and as the target was limping to its nest, deviljho came hungry and snacked on it while my whole party was just hitting on devilkho, begging it to let our prey go... We failed the quest.
I know that feeling brho, the Flashbang still useful, you only must wait a time between flashbang, so the monster i'll be blind again, don't spam it that's the point
All we need now is people to realize you can't spam flashes like you could in high rank due to flash resistance/immunity. so annoying when someone spams 5 flashes in a row just to higher its resistance and extend its enraged state >.>
The Kushala husk at the top of the map reminds me of the Kushala husk at the top of the mountain in MHFU. I don't know if that's a reference but I feel nostalgic whenever I see it
It's wrong that you can't get resistance to Brachydios' slime. His slime was the original blastblight and getting the antiblast skill does in fact make you immune to it, you just take a slight bit of tick damage when you are in the slime with full antiblast and that's it.
Yep the sharpening to crouch thing is a neat feature, I like to use it to dodge under projectiles like beams and if you do it in the bushes it counts as hiding so the monsters can lose you for a second mid fight which makes the sharpening safer.
Did you know that when fighting a monster, in the minimap on the monster icon there will be a yellow or red eye icon which will indicate whether the monster is enraged. When the eye is yellow you can flinch shot a monster to run into a wall but when red you cannot.
The Kushala Husk could very well be a reference to the MHDos trailer (i think) where he sheds his skin or to MHFU where you can also find his skin on top of the frost map
The frozen kushala daora is a reference Easter egg to monster hunter unite on the PSP there was an ice mountain region that had a frozen and gutted kushala on top of the mountain in a hidden path.
I found that Nullberries can remove the Blast blight real quick as well, but yeah, those mantles seem like the best option if you're already good at avoiding damage. For bleed, yes crouch, and if you have a bush around you, crouch in the bush, usually makes you somewhat undetectable and avoid further damage. Thankf or these videos, wow, so much info!!
I've found that the crouch from using the Whetstone does count as a mechanical crouch, I've done it to efficiently take care of bleeding and break aggro by sharpening in a bush, which also works if the monster wasnt focused intently enough on you.
Also if you sharpen in tall grass it counts as hiding. I do it all the time cuz it makes the monster pause, giving me time to heal as well. Two birds one stone👍.
James Voldemor Then you either have a charm, that is useless (or could be replaced with a better one) or you use Odo armor, which has bleed res already. But if you like Quick sharp 3 as a charm, I’m in no right to judge.

Good tips. I have 1700 hours & I still learn tips here and there. There is always something to learn. Even if you feel yourself getting bored or stale with the game learn a new weapon and it's like a whole new game again. Speed running & even watching surf running videos can vastly improve your game with ideas, techniques, loadouts, environmental techniques etc. I have made they most improvement & instant improvements just by watching speed runners even though I don't speed run.
That's how I first learned clutch claw can soften parts by one stage. I was like, "Why do they always slap three times? More part damage?" Then I noticed three slaps and a weapon attack wounds.
As someone who started with Tri, I was already targeting Barioth's parts. Most monsters get at least slightly less capable if their parts are broken. Barioth gets so much slower and less accurate that it really should be part of your hunt strategy to at least break the wings so he isn't dancing all over the zone.
1) Slimeblight is the same as Blastblight. Only change for it was that it's harder to get off from rolling but Blast Resistance does work against it as well. In addition it seems to do half fire damage & half blast damage but I'm not yet sure if that's the way all blast damage from monsters are or not since I haven't tested this since I last noticed fighting Brachydios. 2) Sharpening weapon does count as crouching. Noticed it long ago when I went to sharpen a weapon & I just happened to be in some brush that would hide you from the monster when you crouch.
You can also use dung pods to stop attacking and as monster is leaving someone ELSE attacks and has the target switched saving time and friends and also use it to DE-AGRO a monster for more mounts etc....not sure if anyone else knew this but playing the game I find little tactics like this all the time as I do a lot of solo as well.

I'm kind of impressed that someone who seems to actually know very little about the game has the confidence to make a series like this. Impressive in a perverse kind of way.
1:12 if you have play Monster Hunter 2G in PSP , you'll realize that's not Hoarfrost DLC Hints , is probably an Easter Egg , because that is Kushala Daora turning into Rusted Kushala Daora the dead skin it left behind
You don't have to send people flying to prevent them from sleepin, I saved a guy twice in a row with a lighter attack. Can't remember exactly but it was either basic LS attack or CB sword swing. Also, blast resist actually helps with the Daddy. On lvl3 it makes the fight trivial. Nulberries also work.
sharpening does count as crouching because i usually try to crouch in a tall grass and sharpen is there is a place to do so. never tried to remove bleed that way cause it would mean you also need an opening and it doesnt remove the red bar you already had from bleeding. just eat a jerky guys
I'm not sure if the husk on the mountain is a DLC hint, because in past games there have been corpses/husks of elder dragons on top of the mountain regions of the game. The one that came to mind was the one from Freedom Unite, which also featured what I think was a Kushala husk on the mountain. It might just be a subtle nod to past games.
Yeah blast resistance absolutely does work against Brachydios. Idk what made you think otherwise but I did a hunt yesterday with blast resistance and stood in every slime puddle I could find just to rub it in his face that he couldn't hurt me with it
You can also sharoen yor weapon in a bush so the monster wint attack you when youre bleeding. Works escpecially well in multiplayer. I didnt know that you can negate brachy slime wit the fireproof mantle though.
About that Kushala Corpse in the top of the mountain: in the top of the mountain in the first map of Monster Hunter 2, or Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, you can find a elder dragon corpse too. Maybe it was just an easter egg to that
I was able to wake someone with a Longsword. They weren't fully asleep but still in the dizy walking phase and a hit from my longsword was enough to keep them awake
Whilst they are still stumbling about, a light attack is enough. Just once they are fast asleep you need an attack that is strong enough to knock a player away and not just stagger them (it doesn't need to launch them through the air, though).
If anyone needs Kadachi shards, just pick up some tracks from him, it will give you a few. I was able to get up to 3 in one expedition, and if you only need one, this is a great way to get it without fighting him. I know this works with other monsters, but I don’t know the drops there.
You can use nulberries to get rid of blast blight. I have not actually heard anyone talk about this at all for some reason (I didnt even know you could use rolling to get rid of it until recently)
Astera jerky is very useful against monsters that hurts you but leaves you with a lot of red portion of health. Jerky heals this red part immediately. :)
As someone who will have to buy iceborne in 2months due to extra work right now, I wish you make a playlist (you said it was video number 5). Or link the previous and next videos in the descriptions please!
The sharpening action doesn't remove bleed blight, but it does put you into crouch which will trigger the healing of bleed blight. Also, you don't need to stay still while crouching with bleed blight. You can still move around while crouched and it will still relieve you of bleed blight.
Sharpening your weapon does work. I didnt realize that was a thing people werent aware of lol. I just wouldn't recommend it because you keave yourself wide open, it's easy to just crouch and then walk out of the way of an attack
I think the 2 thing is just a cool visual thing, it's been in the games in the past. just some cool monster lore since Kushala sheds it's entire exoskeleton like a bug do, like it could me Rusted Kushala but I doubt it since just Kushala being around means Rusted Kushala can be a thing since all thats different about the two is Rusted is a Kushala that is about to shed and it's old exoskeleton is becoming harder and unconformable to move around it which cases it to be more pissed off and enrages more often from what I remember
If I fight a monster that can make me bleed, I always have sushifish scales with me. They stop the bleeding and restore about as much health as a mega potion.
Shigo96 H Only GREAT scales restore as a Mega Potion. The regular one is just a Potion- HOWEVER good tip, I forgot about this one and now I fish constantly for Sushi and Whets
Take note, the back up save file numbers are irrelevant after userdata. All the numbers are different for everyone as it corresponds to the steamID. Check your steamID to find out which folder you're supposed to backup.
For the flash pods, I find the best way to make absolutely sure you blind them, is to clutch onto them and shoot a flash pod in their face, of course this doesn't work if the monster is flying back to their nest, but I find that's the easiest way to get around the nerf
I'm sure this has already been said to death, but antiblast level 3 negates Brachy's blastblight... so that one is just entirely wrong and should have some kind of update text somewhere.
You can bring resistance/immunity to brachydios's blastscourge, use the skill blast resistance and use level 3. I usually wear the charm for it when I fight him.
Getting rid of the slime blight is rather easy. Not something people wouldn't know of you know. Also Immunity mantle is the obvious "Use me to remove blights of whatever". Fire Mantle removing it was though something I hadn't given a thought though.
I haven't tried the sharpening to remove bleed but I'm fairly sure it will work becase I've hidden from monsters in the bushes by sharpening. Though I bet it won't work with the duration of any Speed Sharpening because that'll be too brief a crouch.
I felt down there fight a monster. The monster broke the ice and I didn’t get off in time and fell and ended up down where you jumped. It’s a cool place.

Also, blast resist actually helps with the Daddy. On lvl3 it makes the fight trivial. Nulberries also work.
When you sharpen in a hiding spot you actually hide you from the monster while you sharpen
sharpening does count as crouching because i usually try to crouch in a tall grass and sharpen is there is a place to do so. never tried to remove bleed that way cause it would mean you also need an opening and it doesnt remove the red bar you already had from bleeding. just eat a jerky guys
Maybe it was just an easter egg to that
I'm not sure if it is 100% of the time but I have had insect glave users trip me out of stuns, sleep, and paralysis
Having a series like this for each weapon would be brilliant. It would help newer players learn the things you can't see in the training area.
I actually find this 6:20 accidentally, no more jerky to waste my item pouch 🤣
Astera jerky is very useful against monsters that hurts you but leaves you with a lot of red portion of health. Jerky heals this red part immediately. :)
@@mrjazz5294i know but crouch + mega potion works for me too
As someone who will have to buy iceborne in 2months due to extra work right now, I wish you make a playlist (you said it was video number 5).
Master rank monsters won't go to sleep if you're nearby/within the line of sight. At least I think so, had it happen with Velkana and Kirin
Sharpening your weapon does work. I didnt realize that was a thing people werent aware of lol. I just wouldn't recommend it because you keave yourself wide open, it's easy to just crouch and then walk out of the way of an attack
You can also shoot anything that staggers monsters to make banbaro drop the log of doom
The kushala daora husk is just a reference to MHF2/FU, where there's a similar husk that you can gather from to get account items and a few mats.
Sharpening doesn't remove bleed. It just helps getting rid of it cause you're crouching.
Sharpening does count as crouching and in fact you can sharpen while in a bush and stay hidden. Great Vid !
The regular one is just a Potion-
HOWEVER
good tip, I forgot about this one and now I fish constantly for Sushi and Whets
@@Enneamorph Oh right, my bad. Good to know you got back to fishing!
the sharpen = crouch also works on hiding in bushes. I can hit the whetstone in a bush mid combat and the map goes purple.
The nerf didnt include a smaller radius or chance to blind them . If u were bad at throwing them before, u r still as bad after the nerf.
Surely someone pointed this already, but Blastscourge can be nullified with antiblast lvl.3
I'm sure this has already been said to death, but antiblast level 3 negates Brachy's blastblight... so that one is just entirely wrong and should have some kind of update text somewhere.
You can actually be immune to brachydios blight by building blast resist.
You can bring resistance/immunity to brachydios's blastscourge, use the skill blast resistance and use level 3. I usually wear the charm for it when I fight him.
crouch first then sharp your blade it will stop the bleeding. However if you start sharpening your blade right away it wont count as crouching
You can also get blast resistance level 3 to nullify the blight from brachy
the husk of a kushala was in a previous game as well (one of the portables).
If you have the shoryuken emote you can use that to help sleep/stun/paralyzed teammates
For slime blight just just anti blast decorations and you can run over the slime pools and dont get the blight
For the blast slime, some hunting horn, like the nightshade paolumu, have blight resistance that negate totally the effect.
Getting rid of the slime blight is rather easy. Not something people wouldn't know of you know. Also Immunity mantle is the obvious "Use me to remove blights of whatever".
Fire Mantle removing it was though something I hadn't given a thought though.
I learned the shortcut thing thinking if I jumped into the ocean it would kill me lol
I haven't tried the sharpening to remove bleed but I'm fairly sure it will work becase I've hidden from monsters in the bushes by sharpening. Though I bet it won't work with the duration of any Speed Sharpening because that'll be too brief a crouch.
thanks for this!
sharpening and carving CAN heal bleed in addition to crouching and eating aster jerky.
I felt down there fight a monster. The monster broke the ice and I didn’t get off in time and fell and ended up down where you jumped. It’s a cool place.
