My favorite part is that I got to listen to those 3 sick tracks 5 times in a row before watching this video. Bless David and his drumming that is from another dimension.
Always a treat to hear Diepold play to any metal track. The ride/hihat interplay in the 2nd track is so sick. And honestly if I heard the 3rd track elsewhere without context or any video I would have sworn it was new Cognizance material!
all great snares david! simply can't go wrong with any of them. i like how the Starphonics pop in high tuning. the Tempesta is iconic in every sense. that shallow bronze sound lab is probably the best bang for buck. really all great snares.
So between this and the Starphonic aluminium, which one to choose ? I love the sound of both. I don’t own an aluminium drum but I own a 14x6. I also don’t own a copper drum and I also don’t own a 14x7. Which one should I go for when it’s a 50/50 tie ?
To be honest, as you put effort into making all these videos quite identical, I think you should have mashed them together in one single video to make the comparison between the snares more intuitive like you did with the different tunings.
@@DavidDiepold As a compromise, you can also put up a compilation of the final 20 seconds of snare only tuning comparison from each video. With timestamps, it'll be amazing for A/B comparison.
Nothing better than someone who really understands the subject to demonstrate the incredible sound of each snare. Great video David!

That high tuning is perfection
It cracks like heaven
Beautiful sounding snare and beautiful drumming!
Epic playing man! 🔥🔥
Snare is dope

¿Que si vi los 6 videos seguidos? ¡Claro que sí! :) Estuvo buena esta serie de videos y es algo un tanto diferente. ¡Eres brutal! 🤟
Man that ACD carbon hi hat stand looks nice! Thanks for the Vid David!
wow that snare sounds good, especially with a master behind it
Stoked that you are working with ACD!
high tune blast beats hit different
🔥
High tuned all the way. That's one of my favorite snares.
Medium for me 👌🏻
Exelente video !!!!
Ok now I want one of those 😢
swear i thought you were changing the name of one video over and over lmao
love the great detail you go into for all of these man
Tama no doubt! Plus played by great drummer , serve your ear with great sound😁
God I need this drum
very good video!
You just sold me on that fucking snare. Been searching for a great one that didn’t cost $1000+. Medium and high tunings, holy shit.
the dream sound
Yes David!
l’m your fan man 🤘🏻❤️
Yeah! 🤘
Best video
Very rich and crispy sound! Mid tuning wins for this model!
(If I remember well you used it on some playthrough)
😍😍😍
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Are these actual songs? Mid and high sound amazing.

High tuning has very distinctive overtones

Hey mate, is it true that you have an ACD Phantom in your hands? I would REALLY love to see a video about it
(sorry for the OT)

Best looking one between al of them, sounds is good, but seems like alumunium have more volume and Jt is another level..

Thanks for the feedback! I also thought about that. But due to people's shrinking attention span, I didn't want to upload a ~18 min video...
@@DavidDiepold Would love to hear the snares without the music.
@@DavidDiepold Do it.

How would you compare this to Tama's 7x14" John Tempesta Brass Signature Snare Drum that you also reviewed?
Jt cut much more, copperphonic for more softer sound
like the high tuning kinda more, don't know why really!
Filthy🔥🤘
Thank you for doing a shoot out on all these snares--and playing them the way Satan intended. Most videos the guys play them like wimps.
Starphonic copper or Tempesta signature???
JT or the Starphonic Brass will cut more
which band are is playing ???
And then all the buyers will be disappointed that it doesn't sound as good as when David plays 😄
😂😂😂😂😂 Bag sner😊
that high tuning....
Its so different not seeing you behind a MASSIVE GOLIATH MEGA drumkit....
High tuning sounds good, the others not so much .. to me
I got TAMA SLP hammered steel. But this copper is a straight popper.😁
