Ok, since when are fruit trees considered a food plot for deer? Most fruit trees take years to produce. Most fruit trees are already done fruiting before the majority of the hunting season. Fruit trees will need deer exclosures to even get to a productive stage. The last thing I want when planting fruit trees are deer????? Educate me?
They are good part of the food plot system, and some trees drop later then others , persimmon trees hold into November 👍🏼. But I agree soft mast trees are only part of the puzzle

These can often be some of the first plants to green up. They can also help with developing patterns that deer will use throughout the year and for years to come. Aside from advantages for wild life and hunting, spring/summer plots also help by suppressing weeds and can reduce herbicide and fertilizer needs if you plan on planting fall plots.
