exelent ¡¡¡ congratulations yo no hablo mucho ingles pero que bueno que saques videos como estos instrumentales ojala y sigas sacando muchos como estos grax
Fucking stellar, and I say that as the guy who found 90% of the Rammstein samples going about forums (the ASR-10 ones though, others have worked super hard to find the others!!). Very reminiscent of the new live feel! I prefer how they played it from 1996 to 1999, but that's preference!
can i ask you, how you recreate Rammstein's song so perfect? I mean actually Flake's part. I have a R+ tribute band, but we don't find a synth guy, so thinking about to replace it with vsti instruments or things like that.
I've been out of the Flake appreciation scene for a while... but I can safely say as a multi-instrumentalist that Rammstein's keyboards are THE hardest part of Rammstein to get right. Not by much, because every single member is extremely talented, but keyboards are a very difficult area to get into. You have to know a massive amount about synthesis, sequencing, and very importantly, sampling to imitate Rammstein. Because Flake uses a lot of presets/patches or samples (usually samples capable of being loaded into the Ensoniq ASR-10), and these are out there to find... you have to make a VERY hard decision as a cover band. I've got the live DRSG introduction synth, it comes as part of the Ensoniq sample CD range (it's also used in the studio version). The problem is, it is EXACTLY what Flake used, so it sounds like you've sampled the song (which a LOT of cover bands/covers do). Even this song uses the studio version's intro directly: it's an extremely complex layer of 3+ synth sounds: it doesn't sound hard to layer 3 synths, but when you try it yourself, searching through tens of thousands of sounds for the right one.... it's hard. The problem is, you need someone extremely dedicated to the "school of Flake". It's easy to buy a synthesiser or even an Ensoniq ASR-10 (Flake's main keyboard for the first 3 or 4 years of Rammstein), but then you have to learn how to use them. The ASR-10 has a manual like the bible, and it took me about a month to learn it inside out. Then you have a useless keyboard with no samples. You have to either spend thousands of pounds trying to buy sample CDs on eBay, or find them to download (which you have to do with basically all of them, since most of the manufacturers have gone out of business). Browsing presets also has limits, you need to be able to alter synth patches to fit your needs, especially when you can't find the original Flake used, or Flake created it himself.
