I own a few of the plastic Rimowa suitcases and I like them so I decided to surprise my wife and ordered her a nice aluminum one directly from the site. It arrived today, she had tears in her eyes she was so happy. Happy, until we realized that one of the clasps is stuck and does not open when the slider is engaged. This suitcase cost me $1200. I thought that when you pay top dollar, you get what you pay for, that there is value in not buying Chinese-made trash. Guess not. Will have to try Globe-Trotter, maybe they will send me a functional case. Absolutely gutted by the whole experience.
I have 3 rimowa which will 100% dent and misalligned everytime it goes into commercial plane cargo. Now they are sitting at home as storage box.
