Also, when you make a lantern hang on chains, with the lantern at the bottom, it attaches, BC at the bottom of the chain is the top half of one loop, and at the top of a lantern is the bottom half of a loop. It probably sounds confusing, but just try it in Minecraft. Place a chain hanging from somewhere, and then put a lantern at the bottom. Soul lanterns work too. Hope this is helpful!

Answer to question at 19:05. If a soul campfire can cook food then does that not make it hot? It could be cold or hot when you stand on it in game but since it cooks food it would be hot. I think the soul fire makes you warmer because its in the nether, and the nether is essentially hell, which I'm sure isn't cold.
If u want to make the hanging village in survival I recommend using a glass pane connected to nothing it's less visable instead of the trap door
