I can guarantee you can find that Louis Vuitton bag in Japan at a thrift shop, or even on eBay from a Japan, and have it shipped to your hotel if you’re in Japan. I buy so many vintage Louis Vuitton bags from Japan and I’ve never been more pleased and they’re all under like $300
They’re all discontinued bags that nobody’s looking for like the cabas mezzo, cabas alto, radonne, bucket bags etc.
I prefer The cabas alto and mezzo with zipper if I need security. I bought like six Louis Vuitton bags from Japan and they’re all phenomenal. Exactly how I remember them growing up versus the quality of what’s coming out now.
Love your bags and your style.

Many fakes are discovered with Japanese sellers on eBay.

I love your bag picks. Happy travels! I was recently in Europe and New York, I only used 2 bags. A crossbody for exploring, and a Prada wristlet for dinners. My hubby had the backpack. I'm looking forward to your Japan trip. Should be a lot of fun. 🎉

I was just in Japan this past summer and it’s actually way more card friendly than I realized. The only time I needed actual cash was for small restaurants or food stands.
Also Japan is SUPER safe when it comes to luxury bags. I saw girls at Tokyo Disneyland waking around with birkins and kellys without a care.

Good choices! Aww, the chocolates for staff are so nice. (I used to do that traveling as a kid. As an adult, only on holidays. Hmm. "Okay Andrea, next long flight get your act together!" You're a good influence!) A Kelly as a medical bag - genius. OMG I love it! 🤣Excited for your trip!

I think I brought four bags on a trip for a week (and bought one) 😂 my go to has been a Loewe puzzle bag because it fits perfectly inside my travel tote or backpack. It’s casual so I bring a little something else for a grab and go night out. I hope you have an amazing trip!! I travel with a lot of medication as well and I never knew about being able to have a 3rd medical bag 🤯 I carry a doctors letter with them as well. Very helpful to know that Japan wants you to have the exact amount because I always carry extra to accommodate for flight delays or travel shenanigans.

My third time to Japan soon for several weeks. We will be high speed training quite a bit from city to city so I’ve decided to just bring a nano speedy and my Neverfull GM but not sure. In my luggage I will bring my Longchamp duffle (which collapses and really light) to carry any bags I will end up buying over there 😂

Thanks for the idea on the chocoates! I’ll be heading to Japan in two weeks so I’ll have to pick some up.
Great choices in bags! I’m debating on bringing my luxury bags to Japan but I don’t think they will function well for me considering all the things we have to carry. Gives me a reason to perhaps buy something while there 😅 are you planning on buying any preloved items while there?

I’m going March/April 2024. I oddly dont travel with my lux bags. But I’ve realized when I’m there I always wish I had them lol. I’m too chicken. I take a cardholder that I shove in my bra lol. I don’t carry a bag at all. Chapstick/lipstick in pockets. Maybe this time around I’ll take the Chanel woc. And thankfully so far I haven’t needed one. Did 1 month in Italy with Santorini, little over a wk in Paris and it was nice not having to worry about a bag. It also helped everything was with card. However I’ve read japan is cash. Q?s- will you be doing any lux shopping and will you try to get an Hermes bag?

Even though I'm careful with my bags, I don't bring my best designer bags when I travel. Too much schlepping around. I bring either my MZWallace Travel Jim or my LV Saleya GM as my personal item, an MZWallace bags for everyday, a small bag for evenings, and a belt bag for "adventure days". Never heard of the 3d carry-on for meds. Do u need a doctor's note for that? Actually, I wouldn't want to be schlepping 3 bags through the airport. Are you only taking a cart-on, or are you checking a bag, too? Have a wonderful time! ✈️🌏

Oy, I'm about to leave for an overnight trip to Boston and if you count the "beast" tote that's folded up on my carry-on, I seem to be taking 3 bags, so you'll be getting no judgment from me.
    Have a fabulous trip!

😂 So first you pronounce Ferrero Rocher right and then decided to butcher it? 😅 I'm not a big fan of the classic ones but there was a time they were making a winter edition with cherry and licour and OMG it was my secret sin 😂😂😂
Are you taking bags to Japan? 😮 Besides the Cabas Tote I wouldnt take any bags, after all Japan it's the right place to do some pre-loved shopping 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️
