@@dougzabierek2309 Awesome ride so far. I ordered side steps yesterday so my wife can get in easier. My boss asked me "When can we put the company lettering on the side" haha not
Don't forget the included Styrofoam inserts for the front mud guards. They keep the guard from filling up with mud and such. The rear ones don't have them.
Just added the Weather Tech No Drill Mud Guards yesterday. They look a lot better than OEM and require way less tools to install. They also don’t cover the portion of the flare that these OEM do. Heck they have more coverage than the OEM.
Wheel well covers first then splash guards. The dirt is going to cover the insides too. I did it first then the guards and Soo glad I did. But hey we can't think of everything. Great look though. Ramm!!
Better add some clear protective film between the mud flap and flare, otherwise the mud flap could wear through the paint on the flare. Most of the aftermarket mud flaps include this clear film for that reason. I went with the weathertechs, but have a 19' rebel so don't have to worry about the painted flares.
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA it will still move. Used to have the same kind on my Silverado. When sand and dirty get between the flap and fender it will cut through the paint. I want to add some on my new f150 but opted not to.
Looks great. They could have done without the rivets in designing the splash guards. Why you would need a torque wrench for splash guards I'll never know.Your presentation on the install was outstanding.👍👍
Great video! I have a 2019 Ram Limited and I actually just REMOVED the OEM mudguards you installed. The reason I took them off? The mudguards have an unfortunate design flaw in that they each have a "cup" where water and mud collects...no idea why!! In any event, when I removed them, they were each about 2 lbs due to silt and mud collecting in these cups. Hopefully that doesn't happen on yours. I replaced mine with a nice solid black set of gatorback flaps. Both look great but gatorbacks are the better design.
Scott Olsson I noticed on these maybe because I ordered them from the dealer they are revised but each one has a drain slot in the bottom not sure if that was the case with yours, thanks for watching more to come with the Ram
Hammerdown Motorsports Yes, mine had the drain hole as well but once enough stuff gets in there, it plugged and then filled up. Keep those Ram videos coming!
Very cool video! Those areas you were talking about getting dirty, near the rocker panels: on 35s... oh man I get home from the car wash and all that is dirty LOL - time for some mud flaps? :)
Beautiful truck! I went with the Husky Mud Guards on my 19 Ram Limited. I like that they don't wrap around the fender flares and the install was a lot easier with no rivets. They stick out about 1/2" around the flare so they are still protected without all that plastic on them. Only downside, I don't have the Ram logo.
I purchased the Laramie a few weeks ago and now I’m thinking about doing some upgrades. Question for ya, was your truck leveled at the time of this video? And if so what would recommend? Thanks for the awesome vids!
I have a 2020 bighorn I already have the mud guard but want to add fender flairs the mud guards look the same can you tell me if I get OEM flares will the oem mud guards still fit?
Also any recommendation on a dealer when purchasing a new Ram. You mentioned in one of your videos that you are in the Reading, Pa area. I'm in the Hamburg, Pa area.
Hi I'm Darth Harrington of "Darth Harrington's Intergalactic Proton Powered Electrical Tentacled Advertising Droids Emporium and Moon Base"! Due to a garbled subspace transmission, I am now currently over-stocked on Intergalactic Proton Powered Electrical Tentacled Advertising Droids and I am passing the savings on to yooouuuu! Oh and beautiful truck btw!
I purchased the Weather Tech ones and after I installed them they do not look as good as the OEM. They have great functionality, probably better protection overall, but they look more grandpa-ish
The slash guards look awesome. I do like the OEM Ram but I went with the Husky Front and Rear Set which were only $62.00 with my military veterans discount. The Huskies fit and install for a factory look minus the rivets and they really do protect the lower portion of the ruck which is excellent. Great videos brother so keep up the great vids.
cool Idea but I do have several radios and a speaker wall cabinet I built a while back with 3 subs 3 amps and a touch screen I will be putting in there so should be covered for sound
If you don't have those pads use a microfiber cloth. Paper or terry cloth will scratch your paint. Nice adaptation for the rivet. Stay frosty my friend.
If you would to keep your new Ram looking and smelling like new, you must keep it out of the sun light as much as possible. Keep it garaged when at home. My 2016 ram still after 2 plus years had that new car smell, since it stays parked inside the car when not in use.
Great video Steve! I was a bit hesitant on the flat black versus gloss black as well until you discussed the underside of the front bumper and some symmetry there. 👍🏻
Great DIY video on installing the mud flaps. Really complement the truck. Can see you are really coming to completion soon on your shop. Looking good!! :)
Nice vid, dude. Thanks. You commented about the flat vs gloss color. I notice the rears seem to match the trim behind them, so I’m hoping you’re happy. If not, I wondered if plastic paint in gloss would be a good option?
I love my splash guards makes a huge difference! The one big complaint I do have is how it collects dirt grime and water. Maybe I didn’t put them on correctly but it sucks when washing the truck
great video, helped quite a bit, on the rivets I just drilled a hole and put a screw in and it worked perfectly, did not remove the old one and tossed the plastic rivets in the trash much easier than the tool thing no one owns
The splash guards look awesome
Now I need to get a pair for my 2019 Ram Rebel
I hope to do it soon
Thanks for the Advice
You need the rain guards for your Ram buddy
I got my Rebel on Friday. Maximum steel metallic Quad cab
How are you enjoying the rebel

The Ram is the KING! What an awesome looking truck man.

There is only one other knife in existence that can hang with your mighty blade..and its Crocodile Dundee’s. Great video.
lol true that

Great job I painted mine and clear coated them before installation
I installed a set of GATORBACK RAM logo mudflaps on my LongHorn. Best thing I ever done.
Well I hope you think some more Pat. ;

Cool 😎. I just bought a set and not crazy about the hollow cavity. Should of made them solid so not to collect debris.

Oh also, I think the guards look great!
I can't seem to find the links for the fancy rivet puller and removal tool.
Looks like the inner side can hold water? Not so good 😕
I like the weathertech ones better
What is the mopar part number for the front splash gaurds please?
Those bronze looking pliers are probably non-sparking beryllium. Used in explosive environments.
If you go offroad won’t you wreck them on the first rock? I ask this because they look breakable!
Where is link for the knife… heck with splash guards
Lol I got it at a auction
Are you installing right over the smaller flaps?

Looks good, but maybe better if it were painted to match
Crappy tire tools!! Hell yeah love the Canadian references

They hold water did you drill holes in the bottom so they drain?
not yet there are slots in the bottom that can be made bigger that"s my plan when I get to it
Is the drilling that is required in to plastic or do you have to drill into the sheet metal?
jlink0283 no drilling required

They hold water like a bucket. I have them. Very poor design. I'm going to have to drill holes in the bottom so the water can run out.

To bad i cant find a vid on these mud guards installed on a non fender flare ram. Husky makes one where you dont have to remove the oem rock guards.
Catherine Calvelli own makes them for non flare trucks
