I met Buddy in 2012 when I worked for a radio station. He promised me back then that he would love to make my wedding cake when I had asked if he would. Its been 11 years, still not married but I went down to the bakery in Hoboken last year and I was happy to be there. It brings back good memories of meeting him and talking with him. I also love that I can doordash his cakes or pieces of cake overnight to my house 😅
I will always love watching his baking he is still number 1 to me go Buddy!
Buddy and his team of wonderfully talented artists have created thousands of beautiful cakes over the years. Buddy is known for his generosity and his big heart. He has always given so much to charitable endeavors. Buddy is one of a kind. I have enjoyed his tv show for several years and will miss him. I wish him well. ❤️

This is a puff piece. It doesn't mention the fact that he was far from the first and not the most creative not very creative at all.
I used to watch this show often when it was on, I loved the episode where Buddy baked a special cake for the children's hospital :D it was so cool.
His family is from my town and his old house is across the street from me. His sister owns a restaurant and her mom used to own another. This British show glosses very lightly over the family ideal. They missed a lot
This was a hit piece and click bait. Shame on whoever wrote this. There is no "fall" of Buddy. Businesses are always going to have issues with staff especially when the boss becomes famous. They want their 15 mins of fame. Though I am sure Buddy has made his share of mistakes just like all of us the good he has brought to everyone fars outweighs anything else. He is and always will be the cake boss and a hero to those he has helped. He is a legend and has touched so many people's lives!
Have to agreed. In no point did it feel like there was a fall or anything like it. It felt more like he had some stumbles along the way with the work allegations which feels like they were the only big problem and always have to be taken sometimes with a bit of grain of salt. The DUI while serious isn't as bad and it probably was blown more out of propotion based on him been famous and well known. The other stuff seem minor in all honesty.
A show going on for 10 years is huge success in all honesty. Every show has to eventually end (even if is a reality show without define story with begging and end). He is still sucessful, his business are still doing good, he still appears in shows there is no fall whatsoever O_o

The writing on this video was confusing. It went backwards and forwards in time. It repeated parts. There really was no 'fall' of cake boss even with some controversial behaviors. In fact, it sounds like he is still pretty successful doing other things.
No, he isn’t doing other things, he’s a baker and, in the bakery business, he’s not going to quit in the middle of his career to go on doing something completely different, that wouldn’t make no sense, especially since, he’s quite successful, duh! His business has expanded and, no, the video if you paid attention didn’t go backwards and, forwards, you didn’t watch closely, it was going in depth into the history of his tv shows he’s been in thus far and, what he’s currently doing now and, things he’s doing now and, the current charities he’s helping out of his business and, fame expanding! It pays off to listen and, to pay attention! But, nothing was repeated and, I am watching the same video and, I seen none of that!
@@sonyafox3271 - damn you for making me watch it again. I stand by what I said. It started out chronological til 2009 then jumped to 2017 mentioning his mom's death, then back to 2013 through 2021. Then it goes back to 2020 then to 2018 then back to 2014. Then from about 17 min to the end, the narrator just starts repeating Buddy's skills and history. I also did not say he gave up cake making by saying he was successful doing 'other things'. I was referring to his other stores, his restaurants, his other shows to make the point that Buddy never failed despite the controversaries he faced. Maybe YOU should go watch it again. I'm done.

My favorite Cake that the show “Cake Boss” made was the “Sesame Street” cake.
I went to Vegas and bought 2 slices of cake from a vending machine. I got the chocolate and the rainbow. I took it home to Hawaii. I am happy to have tried two of Buddy’s cakes. My son was happy to try it because we watched Cake Boss faithfully and always said we would want to try going to his bakery.

@@June-tb4vi they were cake. Nothing special. I wouldn’t have been able to tell if it were a box mix. My son said he could tell the difference. They were super sweet.

after all Buddy went through he still in business and did expand and continue to do so. He was also an driving example for all his family and workers, look what they have done for themselves because of Buddy, not to mentioned other charities. SOOO, WHERE DID HE FALL. youtubers will come and go, but Buddy remain in spite of everything.

Years ago I purchased pastries and cake from his store in NYC while visiting there. Needless to say, those items were very much OVERPRICED for the quality. Never again!!!

In the show “Cake Boss”, the performance of the pastry chef, if we can call it that, is alarming in terms of hygiene. The non-compliance with HACCP rules is blatant, and it is shameful to see such negligence in the preparation of cakes on television.

Surprised about him not paying minimum wages. Not sure why people would be Ok to be taken advantage of. I can see him about hostile work place. He seems like a perfectionist and that kind of person can't understand that other people aren't. I can see it causing a lot of problems.

I enjoyed the cake boss shows. I looked forward every Monday evening 06:00pm watching it. Now, it has been replaced with a different show and I do not watch it. I am disappointed that cake boss has been taken off. It was something that was enjoyed and fulfilled my Monday evenings. It would be awesome if it was returned. I wish all the best to the friends and families that were part of the show. Please bring the reruns back!

I have mixed feelings about Buddy. On one hand I really respect him as a strong leader with a lot of charisma, skill, and wisdom. But on the other side I’m questioning his character, especially with all the allegations that came out against him that seemed to be true. It bothers me how he took a small family business and turned it into something so commercial, with half-baked bakeries everywhere and stale cakes crammed into vending machines and grocery stores. He's opened multiple Carlos Bakery locations, but most of them either get terrible reviews or shut down because they can't keep up the quality and freshness. Selling "fresh pizzas" from vending machines in Vegas that taste bad is a far cry from what Carlos Bakery used to stand for. It feels like greed has changed him. Despite all this, I did respect who he used to be, and I still like his show, even though it's not airing on TV anymore. I’m really hoping those allegations about him weren’t true

eye since we all make mistakes. B.V. is/was lacking emotional intelligence in many ways. The mistakes were
from social/lawful/ignorance and lack of formal edu. which may or may not have polished him. He has had higher than most creative ability. It is likely many are jealous of him. It must be horribly tough to be in the public eye.
I had never met buddy but I bet he is. Just add all around, good guys, love to bake cakes.

You give him too much credit. He could never compete with the magnificent bakers of Europe. European bakers are true artists and create beautiful, delicate and delicious cakes and pastries.

I stood in line for cake in nyc and it was terrible. Worse than just box cake and premade frosting. What a disappointment.

I live near his bakery in Hoboken, NJ. His cakes are not good! My niece bought a cake for her daughters 1st bday, the cake was beautiful but tasted like crap.🤮 And the cake cost $300!!

I used to watch Cake Boss but I can see how over-saturation can be it’s downfall and how new trendier baking competitions take over. Bitterly disappointed to hear the allegations against him especially underpaying his staff especially as he had the programme then - karma is a b*tch 😢

Watched Cake Boss and made sure I wouldn't miss it until I watched Buddy and Duff compete against each other. With the first cake challenge Buddy showed his true colors by walking out ( acting like spoiled child who didn't get his way ) when Duff won the first challenge. Duff was shocked and bewildered by Buddy's actions. Buddy felt that he should have won since his cake was much bigger than Duff's cake and how could Duff won with a small cake. I truly can't remember what Buddy made but, Duff made a realistic looking elephant decked out with blanket full of colors it was beyond amazing. For the rest of the show the judges always tied between Duff and Buddy. Duff is such a a good hearted man that's kind who does gorgeous cake plus I watched his show Ace Of Cakes until it stop airing.
They each had to make cars. Duff's looked like a real car, Buddies looked like a cartoonish jalopy (not sure of the spelling) it was truly awful.
They are all fam that how they deal with each other buddy stille the best and that Will never change
I totally remember him on that contest. I also remember, how he acted and thought the same as you. I never watched his show after that because of him acting out as he did. He acted like a child and I think that also followed him after that and there was a hugh fallout from his behavior. I also noticed when they talked about the contest they didn’t mention his hissy fit
