One of the most promising PHA production processes worldwide with endless opportunities in substituting petroleum plastics with a safely compostable and marine biodegradable alternative. Addressing the substitution of the dominant polyester textile fibers that shed nondegradable nanopolymers that pass through all known filtration and water treatment systems could be an early target favored by fashion designers and consumers.
