Unusual for it to sound in attack, rather than alert for a natural disaster like a tornado. Are those traffic lights, in the beginning, flashing automatically because of the tornado warning, or is that not related?
Kind of. There are still several places that use attack signal for tornadoes though. I find it to be more “attention getting” that way. As for the traffic lights, it was late at night when this happened, so the lights were flashing because of little to no traffic.
This is a tornado siren. A Tornado Warning was issued for the area, so the siren was sounding off for that. Also, tornado sirens and fire sirens are the same thing. It just depends on what they’re used for. More than likely a 3T22 would be a fire siren over a 2T22 anyway.
And I now know that my boss has had her truck for a good couple of years probably! Took me a moment to recognize it but no one can mistaken her truck for another with that flag window decal in the middle there!
I like the sound of that ambient tornado siren.
nice!! they have a 2t22 and a 3t22B! the 3t22 is on a cool tower mount.
its like a scaffold

@@joelrobinsonwxsrn Makes sense, might as well not hold up drivers trying to get home or find a safe place to park and find shelter.
Wahpeton, ND uses attack for tornado warnings. Alert for test day. They've gone off a few times this year here.
Are you sure it's a tornado siren? Because it sounds like a fire siren.
