for those who can't find a pipe, I used a wire, and wrapped it around like a coil. I only needed around 2inch length size so it was easy for me.
If you use this trick, make sure to wrap multiple layers of wire, so that there is minimal space left between the wire and the chair base (which is attached to legs)
Basically the diameter after wire wrap should be similar to the diameter of hydraulic pipe.
