Juturna is by far my favorite Circa album, or any album for that matter. Heard it in 2005 and nothing has come close. The vibe and atmosphere from that album blow me away. Their attitude was like THEY KNOW they just created something magical and the world is about to be given a gift. Such swag...
Violent Waves is my least favorite...but that's not to say it's a bad album. I just don't feel the same emotion was put in to it from the guys as their other albums. Circa has even said it's their least favorite. They were all going through obstacles at the time, I feel their focus was elsewhere. You ever notice they don't play those songs live anymore?
Interesting that you have The Amulet as your least favorite. Musically I think The Amulet is a collection of all the albums morphing into one. I just get this feeling of musical achievement or triumph in that album. I would guess they are REALLY proud of that album and it holds a special place in their hearts. Almost feels like it's their swan song...slowly yet surely coming to that curtain call of their amazing careers.
All the other albums are equal in my opinion, some really amazing tunes throughout.
The Great Golden Baby, We're All Thieves, Living Together, Through The Desert Alone, Dyed In The Wool, Descensus, and Tunnel Vision are my favorites.
I've been extremely lucky to call Circa my favorite band and be given such amazing music for over 15 years. Bands like this don't come to Hawaii but Circa has thankfully come 3 times and it has ALWAYS been some of the best nights of my life. Unmatched energy and release of...everything...in that moment. Just pure joy.

@jigyoda Really? I would never guess that. Anthony just said Living Together is one of his favorites.
      Where'd you hear that from?

Juturna just holds such sentimental value for me, it will always be my fave. I should go back and listen to the ones I haven't heard though. I really loved The Great Golden Baby for some reason. Could never get a good acoustic arrangement down to do a cover though.

Juturna #1 easily for me with on letting go #2

    1. On Letting Go
    2. Blue Sky Noise
    3. Descensus
    4. Juturna
    5. Violent Waves
    6. The Amulet
That’s my ranking. I’ll Find a Way is absolutely hands down one of their top 5 songs for me. It’s crazy emotional.
On Letting Go was my first Circa album and it’ll always be special. Blue Sky Noise is my favorite sound that they’ve ever had. I’ll always love Circa but the last three albums just weren’t really anything mind blowing for me.

Hell yeah On Letting go is my favorite too! I love almost every track on it. It Was the first of theirs' that clicked with me, the drums' motions are so hypnotic, the guitar melodies, and of course Anthony's amazing vocal devilery! Living Together is my favorite song from it.

I guess I’m not part of the “hardcore” fanbase, because I generally have the exact opposite opinions. I think they only became better with time.
    My list would be
    1. The Amulet
    2. Descensus
    3. Blue Sky Noise
    4. Violent Waves
    5. Juturna
    6. On Letting Go

Their newest EP, while atypical of them just like the EP before it, is amazing in terms of the conveyance of emotion that they pull off, at least in my opinion. I just got done listening to it not too long ago and I'd go so far as to say it's one of their best releases.

It’s pretty rare that my favorite album from a band is the same one everyone else loves, but that’s the case here. I’ve listened to On Letting Go more than any other album by any band. I realized that I can sing certain notes from memory even though I don’t have perfect pitch just because they are the first note Anthony sings on a song that I can just conjure up in my head at any time.

    1. Juturna🖤
    2. On Letting Go
    3. Violent Waves
The other albums I don‘t „feel“ that much, doesn’t mean that they are bad^^ My favorite song of them is „In Fear and Faith“!

Violent waves just IMO has everything, the emotionally charged heavy songs akin to things on juturna, the somber melodys like in blue sky and the message and lyrics like in OLG.

I love On Letting Go and Blue Sky Noise. They are tied at #1 for me. They are perfect fall records for me. I come back to them each year once it starts getting rainy in fall

It's so weird and silly to see how different listeners decide to "rate" these albums or make a sequence list from "worst" to "best". Well, I guess you already know what options are like, right? I've got one too. Everything in this bands catalog is valid and tells a story. One of my favorite bands of all time.

    Juturna
    The Amulet
    Violent Waves
    On Letting Go
    Descensus
    Blue Sky Noise
I feel like I'm in the minority about BSN but it truly is too mainstream for Circa... it is my least favorite consistently. and The Amulet is one of their best albums by far

Blue sky noise was my first circa album, but even without that bias I still think it's an amazing indie record.

    1. Juturna
    2. On letting go
Every album after that is too different from juturna (which I worship) I just can’t get into them
I love every song on their first 2 albums. Every song has memories attached to them that were experienced throughout the years. Their music will age very well because no one else does it like them, although they try :p

Yes, I understand. In my opinion:
      1. Juturna 10/10
      2. About letting go 9.8/10
      and that's it!
