Uplifting story . . . Not suprised by Rod's appearance though I did expect it to go a different direction. Not sure how how exactly, but definitely not something so positive. Similar to other art forms (music and acting) it's interesting how people have to recreate themselves. A persona that people will both desire and envy. Changing their name, their lifestyle, their look, and even editing or altering things about their past all for the possibility of fame and fortune (genrelizing). You really capture what desperation and a need for validation can push people to do just to feel seen.
