The Topaz is gorgeous. It looks a little bit like Iroshizuku Ama Iro and maybe Noodler's Navajo Turquoise, possibly a bit lighter. As for other Edelstein inks, I have the Aventurine and the Olivine. They are both very beautiful but I prefer the Olivine as it's a darker. Thanks for all your video. Great content.
I sold Ruby because I don‘t like it. but all the other inks I like very much. They are all easy to use, easy to clean out, and I never had any issues in different pens.
Thank you for this. I managed to find a seller on my local buy and sell here in Austria ( I am a Brit living in this beautiful country) selling an unopened bottle of the Topaz for €7, it should be here tomorrow, I’m looking forward to using it in both my vintage OBB nibbed Mont Blanc and my fine nib Twsbi Vac 700R.
Fun to see this! I also like the Pelikan Edelstein Onyx, but I also really enjoy black inks and have far too many of them. Edelstein has some nice colors, and they really made the experience of using their inks feel like a luxury experience. Of these, the only other one I've tried is the Mandarin. It was a nice color, but wasn't dark enough in my regular pens. I see you had better luck with it.
I have three of these already - I love Edelstein inks. I've been looking at Garnet and it looks like it might be the perfect red for my Pelikan M600 Tortoiseshell Red. Thanks for the comparison - I love your ink videos!
I've never used Pelikan inks, but just from watching others swatching those inks I fell in love with EDELSTEIN GOLDEN BERYL 🥰 Btw, thanks to your video I've been introduced for the first time... 🤫 with STAR RUBY. What an amazing shade of dark red! Love it! Your comparison videos are PRICELESS 🤓💕 !!!
Diamine Blaze and diamine Inferno are also stunning orange inks. Mandarin is drying a bit too pale for me on the swatch but the writing portion looks great! I love star ruby! Got it with the pen as a set. That garnet is stunning! I think I would prefer that to star ruby. I just don’t buy a lot of pelikan inks as I find them too dry. Really loved all these colors except the blue. Not a fan of blue inks as I find them a bit too ubiquitous, but I do like turquoise and blues that shimmer;) thanks for another great review!
I have a pelikan Topaz, MB Irish Green, Pilot iroshizuku Chiku rin & pilot Iroshizuku Take sumi ( second bottle is running ) Pilot Iroshizuku lines are a light year ahead of pelikans.
I have I think 4 bottles of it and one bottle is getting low and I looked up at my ink wall yesterday and thought "I might have to buy some more bottles!" I am really using Star Ruby a lot!
Hello and thank you for this nice review! Cult Pen has another one in their collection called Apatite which in picture looks pretty similar to Jade, but a little more blueish than Jade. I haven't found any reference or review anywhere in the internet whatsoever! Have you seen or tried it or know anything about it? Many thanks in advance!
Hi Dave I just found your youtube channel. I wonder whether you have ever made a video comparison for black shades inks? I am in need to buy another brand of black inks that are more darker than what I already have. I have been using only Parker Quink black and Mont Blanc Mystery Black for years and never looked for another black inks until I've started using Lamy gold nib. The thing is I write very light and apparently, Mont Blanc Mystery Black appears greyish when written with Lamy FP that has gold nib (I use Z55 EF gold nib). I write very light that I managed to get a very thin line on my Lamy gold EF which people said that it writes thicker than steel ones. I have another colors inks but I'm very fond of black
My favourite is the Topaz, but they are all beautiful. Can you recommend any UK sites for buying ink? I can always get a relative to bring it over for me once people are allowed to visit SA again.
What kind of pen/nib are you using for the writing samples? Looks like some kind of 3D printed Ti nib desk pen? Apologies if you mentioned it elsewhere and I missed it.
The pen is the William Shakour Titan, it’s a pen made by a UK Pen Collector William Shakour. I have a review of two of his Titan's at ruclips.net/video/2lJrH6Y4Ebw/видео.html and another one at ruclips.net/video/dweMrPGta5s/видео.html He doesn’t have a website, he’s on Instagram as instagram.com/williamshakour and can make pens to order.
Ya know Dave, you’re amazing, your video’s are amazing, your information always useful, but ffs do you have to repeat everything about the brand? We know it’s Pelikan Edelstein cus we get told that, we can see that, we can see the bottle and that’s what the title is called! Yet every ink you say and write it. ARGHHHH. Anyway. you’re awesome, thanks for the chat. 😃👍🏻

Topaz and Star Ruby are my favorites, i love really vibrant and saturated inks. Great video.
Me too!
Me Three!
a tip: watch series at Kaldrostream. Been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Tony Bowen Yup, been watching on kaldrostream for years myself :)
@Tony Bowen Yea, I have been using kaldroStream for months myself =)
Great video. The Topaz is excellent. A great Kon Peki alternative.

Diamine pumpkin has many shades, from deep orange to light yellow, I love it.

Love the Star Ruby, may have to consider Topaz. Another great review my friend.

Cult Pens, Pure Pens, The Writing Desk and Write Here are the ones in the UK that spring to mind. Most sell Pelikan ink.
@@PenultimateDave Thank you😁

Fun fact, Edelstein translates to gemstone. Edel = noble, stein = stone.
