I love the project and what they are trying to do. The game looks great, however it feels so "lonely" when traversing the regions. Id like to see NPC's of some sort, and creatures that aren't Illuvials wandering around. And you have to have some sort of path, like an end goal for her. And side quests would be nice.

Agree! NPC's that can give you quests, including a small story, like to harvest or mine something specific that's hidden and you get some clues. Or that want to fight against you with his Illuvials for x reason or x price. In short, basic RPG elements. The people still around and excited by now all agree that quality of everything has priority over fast release.
A game worked so hard on by so many ppl and supported by so many, with such absolutely FANTASTIC style, graphics, music, and just overal creativity really deserves to be finished proper and complete before official release!
But I'm optimistic that they work something out eventually for this "emptiness" (perhaps in secret are already building?)

It's a beautiful world. but needs more things to do and interactions in the Overworld. Feels like an empty playground at this point and the only action is in the arena fighting, which we already have in arena mode. if this is close to the final product, then the only fun thing in this world would be capturing the illuvials and selling them on the market or battling with them.

There could also be some sort of a storyline, like in other games where we get to know about the main character's past and motivation. Even the early version of Street Fighter had a mini storyline going one for each fighter
Yea critters and other wildlife is a must, as well as npc's and illuvials in the open. Quests that spawn randomly, npcs you can challenge, etc. Think random events like arpg's when they do random area generation the best, poke trainer fights also. The foundation of the game is starting to be there, but those last details missing is what is needed to bring the world to life and not feel empty. Also treasure hunts. Caves. Crystal caves. Secret hidden random areas. If you want to set the bar high, compare to a real insanely great looking mmo's like Archeage and then its so fast to see why the world is missing so much work to come alive. The key thing is to feel part of a culture, which means an established base of life one way or another - if there were not humans there before the ship landed, then the animals and plants must rule and be sprawling all around you. Just how life works.
I wish also for more random content, maybe it is random but it feels so limited at first glance because the areas seem to be static and while they can be large(they dont look that large, they look small, compared to a real open world mmo) soon you will know them and then that's it, random area generation is the king of replayability - i dont expect the game to change from areas like now but in the beginning i heard open world exploration and a handful of seemingly static areas is lacking in that regard to me, we shall see when it comes how much its changing from run to run though, hard to say from just videos.
yup need more things to do and interactions in the Overworld.
The point is to know the areas in order to maximize energy efficiency every run. Also the regions are massive.
This game looks so promising. After watching the demo, just bought some $ILV tokens. Pretty sure, once it's live it is going to be quite popular! Kudos to the devs.
The battle simulation should had been a mix of Pokémon stadium and hearthstone, auto simulation looks soulless, it needs more soul by giving the player more control over the pets. Can’t wait for a city where u see other players and more interaction so it doesn’t look so empty.
game look great so far. It would be incredible if the team could eventually add illuvials in the overworld. Just doing their thing in the wild and you have to shoot them with that warp gun first and then they turn into that bubble that you then fight. Although then it would only be 1 illuvial at a time unless they have like packs of illuvials roaming around and you can warp gun them all at once to have a multi illuvial fight. The world doesn't feel alive yet and having illuvials waking/running/swimming/flying around would just be incredible, although probably a lot of animation work.
Another thing I think could use some work was the x-ray vision visor mechanic where you switch to a greyscale and it lets you see points of interest like harvestable items and illuvial bubbles. I like the idea but think it could be implemented better. I found myself always in the visor would meaning always in greyscale. its a shame to not enjoy the visual beauty of this world and there no reason not to be in visor mode almost 100 percent of the time. instead of greyscale maybe just have some sort of visual indicator of where those nodes or bubbles are.
There is almost no actual "game" in this gameplay. Writing the game is the hardest part. This game is a few years out from being an actual "game" and not a model walking around maps

Could really use background music for the battling. It needs more drama so it won't seem so empty, and a sense of urgency to do more than just sit and see if you win (although, those are rather nice looking animations).
Would be good if the illuvials also had a damage reaction during battle. Would make it look more realistic.

I agree it's confusing. The game should just be an open world where you kill each other. the players who get killed lose everything in their wallets to the player who killed them. easy, and awesome. make it or fail.

Why is there no option to choose a different language in the game? I believe this is a key factor in attracting people, as it's always enjoyable to play when you understand the game. I would really like it if multiple languages, including Russian, were added to the game. The more languages available in the game, the more potential players will be able to enjoy it.💥

I invested a lot in ILV too, also with a gamer background. I perfectly respect the Pokémon's "gotta catch'em all" approach and it's very suitable for Illuvium's Illuvials. Even if many other approaches were also major hits in the gaming world, first person shooters, adventure, sports, strategy, what's not...
But the gameplay of the Overworld, in my opinion, is the weakness of this game. Moving, scanning a rock, moving, scanning a rock, moving, scanning a rock, shooting a bubble... that's not exciting. Especially for 2023.
I don't want to change the primary function of gotta catch'em all of this game. But isn't there a way to catch'em all in dangerous or challenging conditions, on moving platforms, running away from lava, fighting giant insects, finding secret doors, unlocking locked doors, etc...?
Or shouldn't these bubbles separating Illuvials from their own environment, the Overworld, stop existing, so that we can see the Illuvials living their wild life and interact with each other in their Overworld in stunning graphs?
These bubbles switching from Overworld to fight make so Nintendo Gameboy style, we're not in 1995 anymore!
In a so vast Overworld, it seems so empty, flat and full of rocks to scan one after the other...

the world is otherworldy awsome. So beautiful but the gameplay is just normal, like its just like any other game aside that there is a land impact on other illuvium games. i wish you made it like the avatar movie where players hunt with their bows to make the game more skillfocused, using a dragonlikebird to fly as a mount and connecting to ehwa to recharge. Giving character classes like reefpeople, forestpeople and skypeople. A gameplay which will connect to its surroundings.
So... what are you even supposed to be doing in this game? Sure, it looks relatively pretty and all, but what even is the gameplay loop?
People see good graphics and think this is the future because it’s related to a crypto. Merely pump and dump. And lots of people will lose money

Say what you want about fortnite but they have a lot of random fun goofy shit in the game that makes it enjoyable. The overworld needs to pack itself with random fun stuff like that. It already has the vibe and art style. Also they just need more content in the overworld. even some sort of minimalistic version of pokemon where you can fight random ai people to level up and challenge gyms. pair that with a shared pvp world and it is gold.

Can you make a giant illuvial that flies trough the map you cant fight it but for example you could tame the Prince very small version of him and skins for the chars the current gear is a bit bland...
they have big illuvilas they are called Leviathans, not much is know about them yet though.

Folks, your overworld is just too empty. It's just not fun to walk through an empty world where you can only do the same 2 things. You urgently need to come up with something that motivates players to play your game over a long period of time. I believe in you, but when I see the current development status, you will easily need another 2-3 years of development before you can publish the game.

So you fly around a dated looking world with nothing to do but look for portals and collect glowing items to be used in the real meat of the game on a turn-based 3D "chess / checkers" game board? Its a trading card game with an empty world. In the turn-based part do you battle other players or a computer. I dont see anything new or special about this game. Its been done many times before.
