I saw discovery go up back in 2007 from a few miles away and honestly, it didn’t look MUCH different from this…it was certainly much louder and brighter. That crackle completely rattles your insides from miles away. Anyone who reads this, if you ever have the opportunity to see a rocket launch, do it. A launch and a total solar eclipse are the two “bucket list” items they everyone should see. No video does them justice…

As someone who just started attending ERAU a couple of weeks ago, this is a neat angle!

Can’t believe how clear it was from over 60 mi. (hundred kilometers)

You should check out the Saturn V flame trail. Over 1000 ft long

It's super badass from my house, 5 miles away from launch pad! The shuttle launches were amazing! Never got old! Now all the SpaceX, ula, blue origin launches are super awesome! Artemis 1 launch, November 16, was better than any shuttle launch!

@@shermankelly9062 True. I could only imagine how scared she must have been. I heard they survived the initial explosion only to fall 50,000 ft, at speeds up to 300 miles per hour and impacted the Atlantic Ocean. 😔

It's all because of the bigger people. Engineers clearly told that o ring cannot take that cold temperatures yet they suppressed them and went onto launch. It went onto become arguably the worst space shuttle disaster
