    Thiem's forehand was so different back then; now it has a little less torque to it, which makes it simpler and also quicker in the preparation phase. He also developed a more compact swing; better suited for hard courts.

      He did win a few big titles on clay, yeah no slam or 1000 but a few in south america where he did beat many great clay court playes, even nadal a couple times. Imo its way harder to win tournaments on clay than on hardcourt. Every match is like a war especially vs south american or spanish clay court specialists

    Daniel kolakowski is a good draw he is qualified ranked 250 to 300 ATP and is the same age as dominic... Dominic was the favorite in this match...

    He had no hesitation in his shots when he was new to the scene. Not the same swagger nowadays.

      He seemed much hungrier back then, as if he had something to prove. I think that same drive declined after he won his first maiden GS at the US Open.

      @@wasilroohan_ I think he has overcome that mental issue now. It was probably the forced break from tennis due to his injury that helped him become refreshed mentally. He’s actually returned to training now, and hopes to rebuild his ranking next season.

      It was a Head Prestige. He didn’t start playing with his Babolat Pure Strike until 2015.

      He’s expected to return at the start of 2022 but there’s a possibility we could see him back earlier at an exhibition event in Abu Dhabi in December. He said to Austrian media that he wants to hopefully play there to get some competitive match practice in before playing at AO. 💪🔥😊

      It’s a Head Prestige. Yeah, he switched to the Babolat Pure Strike (his current racket) in 2015!
