Basra is a city located in southern Iraq, near the Persian Gulf. It is one of the country's major ports and is known for its oil production and export, which has made it an important economic hub. Basra has a rich history dating back to ancient times and has been a key center of trade and commerce in the region. The city has a diverse population with a mix of Arab, Kurdish, and other ethnic groups, and is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, including traditional music, poetry, and cuisine.
