Never shot mathews. That shot sounds sweet.

Thanks. A heavy arrow helps with the noise too

What arrow weight are you shooting, and do you know the speed you are getting? I am also shooting the x33 with a 28" mod...I'm sure it is a bit longer, as Mathews are ALWAYS longer than they should be...I have some Pierce Platinums....and they kinda suck, as far as wobble after some shot into normal targets. I just found some Victory RIP TKOs that are going to be my arrow of choice from this point forward...they are awesome. 340 spine on the GT, and 350 on the TKOs

My final hunting arrow includes a lighted knock and the total weight is 454 grains. I have not shot it through a chrono yet so I have no idea on speed. I just set up these gold tips and they are shooting well. I have shot the Victory VAP in previous seasons and they were always set up with ethics archery stainless steel insert systems for greater FOC. No reason for switching arrow brands other than the archery shop I was in had Gold Tips sitting on the shelf and I wanted to build a lighter weight arrow. RIP TKO is an excellent arrow

    1st, I enjoy your videos.
But I will say in this one that I'll strongly disagree with you and I'll encourage you to really think about this and not listen to others. But that is, you CANT over spine with a compound that is properly tuned. Reason being, if the arrow is being launched in a true center push, it don't need to flex or paradox. You will actually gain a LOT by making it as stiff as possible. I'm not a fan of short arrows at all, I would always recommend a longer shaft. The reason for this is, the arrows feathers or vanes are like a lever, the further from the broadhead, you'll have more torque to correct any mistake.

Very true. I agree with you. I have two sets of 300 spine arrows and even a 250 spine set. The arrow setup in the video shoots the best out of that particular bow. I'll keep making videos about the different vanes, arrows, broadheads, and weights I've cycled through and hopefully I'll be able to go more in-depth.
