And that's the thing, I don't earn anything from Smith for doing the review. I just wanted to share my own personal experience with different riding glasses. Glad the review helped!
Great review. I've decided to finally buy a nice pair of sunglasses for road and MTB, and I had a lot of questions before I was comfortable dishing out the money. You answered all of them and it sounds like the Ruckus is the pair for me. Thanks!
The discussion of contrast was very helpful. As a road cyclist I struggle to tell whether a dark patch is a patch in the road or a chuckhole full of water, especially in shade.
Ruckus vs Wildcat, and Photochromic or Reddish lens for 90% tree canopy? Having trouble deciding. I tried on both, Ruckus fit well under my Fox SpeedFrame helmet but felt tight in temples, but I never tried them on trail. Wildcat felt great on my face but my helmet pushed them down into my nose bridge a bit. Great review by the way!!
Hey Jason, Have you ever tried the Attack Mag MTB? They seem so similar, is the biggest difference the magnet? Are there any other differences you have noticed?
Hi Seth, I have tried the Attack Mag back when it first came out. The lens shape and size are nearly identical between the two. The biggest difference is the Attack Mag has a semi-frame that runs along the bottom of the lens right at the nose piece. The Ruckus is fully frame-less, so if you're looking for full visibility the Ruckus is the way to go. And honestly, the Mag tech Smith uses is trick and easy to use but their PivLock system I find to be just as simple and easy with less bulk. You can't go wrong with either.
@@thewayofthemountains2450 perfect, literally the words I wanted to hear. My biggest concern with the attack mags was that little bit of frame on the bottom and the extra bulk, so it sounds like the ruckus will be perfect for me!
I have tried the Reverb. Just a little less coverage than Ruckus so I prefer the Ruckus. Reverb is great for smaller faces though. I have not tried the opal lenses yet but am interested in them.
You didn't show us what you see when you look thru these lenses.. by putting the glasses on the camera (as close as your eyes to the glasses) you could show us what it is like without and bring the glasses up to show us the impressive ChromaPOP Polarized lenses.. You have several lenses with varying VLT.. You could do comparisons.. Just hold each of the multiple lenses up to the camera as if the camera lens is wearing the glasses.. This is useless to me unless i can experience the difference..
Sorry the review didn't help you. To clarify, these are not polarized lenses. Smith does not make a polarized lens for this model (as of yet). Take care.
Smith owes you! You sold those well. I just ordered a pair on Amazon. Thanks!

I couldn't figure out how to change the lenses. Or I was scared to try hard & break them lol Appreciate the video. Thanks, buddy!
😁 You're quite welcome!

Hi Jason, thanks for the review, is it possible to remove the top frame part? Thanks
Hi Josef, yes it is! It just pull it up and replace it with the color you want.
