Man I think you are a talented, passionate storyteller. I learned many things, I thank you for that. I just hope that you gonna use your talent to spread some good on this planet. I think things need to be balanced a little bit.. Your views about the carceral system and the effects of drogs along the road are priceless. Your words worth be spreaded in my humble opinion. Also try to knoc some doors to shake some people of influence about theses issues, you are a smart entreprenor, I bet you can do something significant for our society if you really choose to do something. @jonnyjib: Unfortunately (and maybe a little disconcertedly), I can't seem to re-capture the state of mind that had me worried about this 6 months ago. I'm not sure whether it's the relevant facts that I can't re-capture . . . or the relevant worry. For example, it seems just a truism to me now to say that: RUclips can eat up a lot of one's time and imbalance one toward the intellectual (rather than the emotional and -- especially -- the physical). Maybe my main concern had more to do with the way that the wonders and delights of RUclips fills up one's mental space . . . so much so that pure, self-reflective awareness and contemplation are crowded out. If the details come back to me again . . . I'll get back to you with them.

It's amazing he can remember all that stuff in such detail, his brain is incredible. And he is another inspiring example of how it's possible to turn your life around away from crime and drugs and do something else better with your life. Crime usually ends up in death or prison for most organised criminals.
Kudos to Patrick too, he is one of the best interviewers hands down. He asks all the right questions, but lets his guests speak freely without constantly interrupting them and talking about himself like some hosts do. Patrick knows too when he's getting BS from someone, you can tell by his facial expressions and how he probes people on details.

Damn, thank you for this interview.
Born & raised in tempe/chandler, az all my life and i can say with absolute certainty that this is FACTS right here.
this is the stuff that needs to be on the forefront of every news outlet, because unless you've personally experienced addiction/the justice system, or have had loved ones that have gone through addiction, you probably have no idea what it's really like. and i don't blame you. if it weren't for my personal experiences, and my ongoing battle with addiction...i wouldn't know a damn thing.
    Let me tell you....
How the media portrays the drug epidemic is SO far from reality, it's a disgrace really..and they ought to be ashamed of themselves.
these last 30 minutes or so of this video is what society needs to know..
but how they treat it now though, i feel like it's almost better not even talking about the drug epidemic, i mean the "opiate epidemic" because that's the only type of drug problem they seem to know or talk about. hey talk about it on such a surface level, and theyre so far from actually educating people on how bad things really are. and they surely don't want to talk about the justice system in AZ... that's for damn sure.
Sigh, sorry for the long comment. But it bugs the hell out of me, knowing the media spends more time dissecting the president's tweets every day rather than covering the real issues that are destroying millions of lives AS I TYPE THIS, it's just disgusting.

One mistake he made was using his own shit. You never use your "supply". It clouds the thinking and decision making process.

Loved this interview, what an education about life of crime and what followed. Laughed at the scene of the Mexican mafia high on ecstasy hugging on him.
Thanks for highlighting prisons as a profitable business. And finally how incredible you were able to turn your life around and help others through your gifts and talents.

God, I love you so much for this kind of video.
We have a lot to learn from these experiences similar to the interviews you did with Mike.
As the quote goes we have to learn from everyone even the lesson is what we shouldn't do .
