Wow excellent breakdown Topher - these sisters are masters of setting the mood and delivering the goods. One detail though - this was done live - maybe hard to believe but they have the talent to do it. If you catch any of their live performances you'll find that they are the real deal, - no editing, no auto tune, sometimes they just do stuff accapella if they have no backing tracks.
Great breakdown of what is right with this performance. There is so much that is right with the video, the visuals the vocals and the luxurious retro feel. Can't wait to see more of your reactions to 4th Impact.
If you go back and listen closely you will hear the tell tales that it was done live!! They sing this in liveshows and it sounds even better...to me anyway. As far as autotune, any Filipino singer caught using it would probably be charged with treason and arrested!!! Sometimes the sisters will include a backing track with vocals that add layers to their harmonies like in their Bohemian Rapsody but beyond that the only vocal modification is reverb!!!! I can't wait for more!!!! The sisters did a video as a tribute to the frontliners who put their lives on the line daily during the pandemic of So Hyang's incredible version of Bridge over troubled water!! I have yet to see the entire video clearly!!! It is always clouded with the blur of tears!!!! I know you would love it!!!!
I think foreigners are used to western style of music where what you hear on music videos and on music channels don't match up to live performances. They're used to heavy effects, tons of editing and when they see someone like 4th Impact, they can't believe it's possible that it's live. We've seen them live and we know what they are capable of. We've seen them take requests and learn songs they didn't know on their breaks and come back without any practice and kill it, either separately or as a group. I wish more people were aware of how talented these sisters are.
@@patrickperegrino1219 I'm old as dirt. I grew up before autotune was even in someone's dreams. When if a singer wasn't great they didn't make it. In the US music industry they don't want great singers. When you become a big star because of your talents and not the producers editing and promotion you can call your own shots. Whereas a mediocre singer knows he is only where he is because of the producer and is stuck. The crap they call music now is just noise. If you don't autotune it to death and have some kind of gimmick you don't make it in the US music industry anymore. Just look at Glennis Grace..the closest thing to Whitney walking the planet...even she couldn't break into the American music industry. If you don't know her watch her Ladies of Soul performance of Whitney's Run to You!!! Mind blowing.

I always comment I will leave the link below and leave it as a reply. On the second day some started telling me I had forgotten to leave the link. After a few discussions with reactors where I was looking at the link I had previously left but the reactors and other commenters couldn't see it!!! But the one with the colorful dress is our very own Irene, the Swagger of the group, so maybe that explains the color variation she has, the girls all have a definitely different sense of style, even the outfits that their mother sews for them for many of their live appearances, are all different I think according to each sisters sense of style, plus their momma Erlinda has great taste and is a great seamstress, though in the case here, these ladies used borrowed dresses. But I digress, we are here for the voices. This has to be one of the premiere covers of this song, I realize that the others you spoke of are world renown artists, but they don't have 3 sisters backing them up who all sing equally as well the other artists you spoke, not to mention that one singer cannot hope to harmonize no matter how talented they are. So obviously you loved the cover, myself being someone who is not an artist but still knows art when he sees it, or in this case, hears it, this is a work of art! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! In a crowded field of very talented Philippine girl groups it's wonderful to see these ladies are finally being recognized for their contributions to making "REAL" music with beautiful harmonies and outstanding individual singers. They’ve sang this live many times and they nail it every time. Topher, I have a suggestion for you. These four sisters did a cover of Natalie Cole's beautiful song, OUR LOVE, It's definitely one of their best performances of the 60s. These girls, in addition to being so talented, they are very pleasant to watch. Also, Topher, tries to find a band that has so much fun singing together, it pops the screen. Thank you from Montreal.
Nice reaction. Just want to chime in on what so many others have already commented here. Have watched/heard 4th Impact do Bohemian Rhapsody live many times. If they can do that live....they can do anything live. Honestly, they do live one-takes all the time...simply because, as you say, they are so good! Have watched them do this song live more times than i can count. To be fair, they do lip sync on some of their videos (as do most bands) but it is only because they are striving for absolute perfection rather than merely astounding. Last 4th Impact thing you reacted to seems like 11 months ago with Almira singing 'Love on Top' with Stell of SB19. Sad you were away so long but glad you are back. They have a TON of amazing content that you have not yet done so take some vitamins and get some good rest so you are well prepared before you venture down this rabbit hole. 😃😃😃😃

A fan once posted a video from a live performance and replaced the audio with the recorded one for a better sound. I asked him if he had to adjust a lot to make it match with the video. He said surprisingly he didn't had to adjust anything, it just naturally fit.
