I hope he gets the help he needs and is in a good place. So glad I was in the music scene during this era. I was friends with he drummer of Slaves and got to hang with Jonny and a lot of other bands of the time. Such fun memories.

He surely knows the difference between being detoxed and healthy vs what crippling dependence to an opioid feels like. He has *repeatedly* exhibited this pattern of relapse with *multiple* people who were *completely* unaffiliated with one another. I can sympathise with Jonny in that heroin is truly nightmarish to get clean from and many often die trying to get clean in the first place due to how deep their physiological dependence goes. However, my sympathies don't go any further than that. Sully Erna is another musician who's intimately familiar with opioid withdrawal, and yet he's been with Godsmack from the very beginning! It's almost like... wait a minute: acknowledging your fuckups as a human being, earnestly making progress on your faults, and trying your damndest to keep your nose clean is all it takes to *not* be a complete and total pariah! Tl;dr version - Drug addicts have my sympathy, but the ones like Jonny sure as hell don't help the cause.
+howardsrollin This band, and song, were HUGE when it came out. Almost every person I know who was into music in 2008 still has this record in their library. It's just not that hyped on anymore because it's over 7 years old now, and the band has released two full lengths since, one being with a new singer. Still a favorite for people who were around when it was still fresh, though.
I feel like Jonny along with Anthony Green (OG Saosin, Circa Survive) don't get enough credit for their voices. They are definitely 2 of the best out there and can hit notes I didn't know someone could hit.

Emarosa is so good. They sound just as good if not better live. I saw them on March 24 at the Paradise Rock Club as one of the opening bands for Silverstein. They were amazing!
DGD to me is mostly about the interplay between Will and Matt, but the 3 albums with JC are definitely the best DGD albums to me. The best non-JC album is probably 'Happiness.' I haven't listened to any Emarosa without JC and never will.

I actually met Jonny Craig a few weeks ago and he was a truely nice person! He came and met all his fans! He doesn't take himself seriously and he can even laugh at himself for what he did! It must be so hard to battle addiction like he did and is now completely sober and clean! Truely talented too!!
