WHEN will we start showing genuine male-female friendships and not make it into a 'oh but they love each other secretly' in films? this pisses me off especially cause when I was in school i had a male best friend (im a woman) and people shipped us and harrassed us mercilessly to like each other that we had to fall out and put an end to our friendship. It sucks cause he was a good friend. also seemed like a lazy way to end the story. but the soundtrack slaps tho

He left her to suffer during her labour cos of his stupid anger, antagoned her for leaving the kid when she clearly didn't know that the child even existed, did not apologize to her in the end. The movie wants you to praise him cos apparently he's a King for raising the child alone, while totally not showing her suffering post child birth and the alleged death of her child. 😓

I totally agree with u on what u mentioned about the movie good night.. As said, it's a very nice movie and the actor has played the character very well. Talking about the character, he wants to quiet snoring not becoz that distrubs her sleep but becoz he is insecure about his snoring habit and that he doesn't want her to hate him becoz of this.
She herself talks to him about this. She says.. "If u really thought about what I want u wouldn't have done all these.. All i wanted was to be by your side and u never really cared about about I wanted".

Actually I would disagree because initially mohan and heroine were sleeping together, but she couldn’t sleep and it led her to faint and admit in the hospital. This had left a srs impact on mohan therefore he tried all possible methods to reduce his snoring.. according to me he is king

It's okay that Parthiban hid his past and didn't let Sathya know about that because he wanted to move past it and he was so sure that his past would never meddle with his present or future.
But he should confessed the truth when he gets to know that Sathya was actually digging deep into this. Because it was mentally affecting her too nd he shud have prioritised his wife's mental health and shud have given her peace by confessing that.
And she would have understood why he tried to hide nd how much he was traumatised by his sisters incident.
Conclusion : He shud have confessed the truth when she confronted him instead of manipulating her more.
Have u watched minsara kanavu.. Arvind swamy charac is pure gold! Andd one deep observation😅 from bachelor movie.. That frnd of gv who shared his house (also mutual frnd of heroine).. That guy is so good by heart!

Just now watched Leo. I was praying that parthiban shouldn't be Leo till last minute. I loved all the other scenes but when he revealed HE IS Leo everything came crashing down. Again a typical tamil hero who manipulates his wife🥲 lying to your wife about your identity and past just because you feel guilty about the mistakes and the person you were. I loved the way he protected and cared for his family but manipulation is not ok.
Going through a tough time doesn't give you the right to treat others badly.... this was such a wise observation!!
BRO I can’t thank you enough for your take on Manmadhan. The amount of people on the internet who are blindly supporting and borderline glorifying this movie is truly insane.
It really puts into perspective just how expendable people think women are.
Also, there is this one scene in the movie, when Madhan and Jyotika are on that lift and he’s having a casual conversation with his friend about how “good” that r-word scene was, how he has done so many things but never that and how if he finds a girl it’s on sight. Like?????? What??? I have not seen enough people be disgusted by that scene. It’s so awful????? But it really goes to show how Tamil cinema, especially in the 2000s did its best to make comedies out of said inhumane act which, I feel, to an extent, has desensitised the public to said act. Like I can easily name 5-6 comedy scenes off the top of my head where the entire premise was “oooo you want something? You should go and r-word this person, you’ll get the thing” and it’s supposed to be hahaha so funny like????? It’s disgusting. I will never not be angry about this. Aaaaa sorry for making it long but I really needed to get this off my chest.

I totally agree with this and the heroine video as well. But I have a slightly different opinion on just one character- Piriyamanavale Vijay, I agree the contract can never be justified, its unacceptable but once they part ways, he did feel her absence, the value of her love, how much he loves her and realises his mistakes too.. Only then he begs for her forgiveness and want to set things right. When people hurt the other intentionally (Like Narcs), he hurt her unintentionally, hence isn’t it forgivable? Doesn’t people deserve second chances at all? Irugapattru did teach us how to work on a relationship rather giving up on it wholly right?
No it is understandable that he wasn’t raised in a culture where marriage is something so important like ours. But he also treated her like shit for the way she acts. Ya second chances laam okay dhaa aana maybe not with her. Maybe with someone else
