This is an experience that I had to write about and have been contemplating sharing it with you all. This is pretty creepy for me, and ya boi LOVES scary shyt!!!! But this was just too strange. What are your thoughts? Let's speculate!

Fun Fact! I'm reading this from the note book I wrote it in with real time page flips lol. And if given opportunity to sit with a sketch artist, I could describe this man to a T, the amount of detail I remember from writing is unnatural.
😅😬🤪 Uhmm, Willow, trust me when I say this as I mean absolutely no offense none what so ever (and this is really personal), but I got a flashback type memory after reading your 'note' of sorts, I felt almost like I was possessed by a succubus or something, only whatever it was, it used my hands, and my almost flew across a computer keyboard as I was writing one or two stories! 🤪😬😅 Once again, I meant offense. 😅 But my personal experience was still UTTERLY terrifying! 😔 AND I MEAN EVERY WORD OF IT, TOO! 🤪

My god, I'm one to listen to scary stories, but this takes the cake. It wasn't bone-chilling or heart-pumping or anything of the usual sort of thrilling story but it struck a cord within me that I simply cannot describe. A feeling of unease and inrigue for a lack of a better term. The fact that it was wriiten by yourself just adds to the feeling.
I used to get sleep paralysis a lot when I was a teenager. Mostly 13-15, though I do still get it from time to time. I’ve seen the typical things, such as dancing shadows, or tendrils, or shadowy people.
At fist the experiences were terrifying. Suddenly being awake, but unable to move... seeing strange things. After three or four times of this, I began to get curious. I stopped trying to ‘break free’ and started paying more attention to what I saw.
The feeling of nameless dread was still there, but I could try and force it away. It never fully left, until one night. That night, instead of the regular vague shadows, one figure stood out to me. It looked like a person, in shape alone. No features, colour, or anything. Unlike the others, it radiated feelings of calm and comfort. I was glad to be in this ‘presence’ and glad that I stopped trying to free myself. Glad that the fear was gone.
That was a mistake. Some other presence seemed to take offense to my getting comfortable. In a split second, the calming figure had been destroyed and replaced with another.
This one was also different. Unlike previous ones, this one shone with an almost visible aura that left me more afraid than I had ever been before. It felt old, malevolent, and had a strange ‘female’ sense to it. This shadow woman was not pleased that I had gotten comfortable, and I was filled with the sense that I needed to escape immediately.
After I came to my senses, and stopped seeing things, I thought that was going to be it. A strange case, but nothing more.
I was wrong again. Every time that I have had sleep paralysis since, a further fourteen counts as of writing this, this same Shadow Woman has been there. Now, when I have sleep paralysis, it’s not a vague, nameless sense of fear. I am absolutely terrified of this one figure. ‘She’ radiates more terror than any of the older shadows ever did. It gets worse every time I see her, and feels like the sessions last longer.
Does anyone else have something similar? One specific figure come to haunt you? And, I am especially curious if you do...
Is it a female shadow figure who sits right on the side of your bed, head turned to look right at you? Does it feel like she’s just waiting for something to happen?
I would be very interested to hear your responses. Thanks for reading my miniature article.

Whenever I get stuck in sleep paralysis, I just try to roll my eyes back into my head by looking up really far. I'm not sure what it is, or if it's just me, but it manages to open my eyes and wake me up. Just something to try for anyone that needs it.

the ONE time i had sleep paralysis, my sister had the day before told me what it is. so i was luckily prepared for it.
i sleep in the basement of my house, i felt rather than saw black mist coming out of the crawl space in Long tendrils, almost like some Cthulian creature was reaching for me, But before i could even get scared of what was going on, i realized what this was. So i imagined an Arch Angel clad in armor to protect me. And pop! there he was! i then pulled a Kill Bill and forced my big toe to start moving. once i did that (and that was the hard part) i found it far easier to move the rest of me and broke the Paralysis.
Edit: hopefully this helps if you do suffer from sleep paralysis.

It's only happened to me once, and most of this stems from speculation, but I have a personal theory about where sleep paralysis comes from. While you're asleep and dreaming, you could be considered, if you will, outside of your body. My theory is that dreams occur somewhere outside of your physical form, whether that be another physical location or something more ethereal. Your body is where you live in waking life, and there's somewhere else where you live in dreaming life. Where nightmares stem is from some sort of beings that reside in the space between the two. Falling asleep, you're leaving your body and going to the dreaming space, and nightmares happen when one of these beings finds you in transit. This all sounds very farfetched, but sleep paralysis is another case. Sleep paralysis commonly occurs while people attempt lucid dreaming or astral projection. To put it another way, your risk of a nightmare being finding you is increased by spending extended periods "in transit" this way. The thing is, astral projection and lucid dreaming (which tend to go hand in hand for me) leaves you outside of your body but not in the dreaming space either, it leaves you near your body without being in it. This is when the nightmare being decides not to pray on your consciousness outside of your physical form, but on your physical form itself now rendered helpless. I have no evidence for this outside of my own experience, but other people I've talked to who've experienced sleep paralysis seem to feel the same sense of being "in transit". It's not really something that could be put to science, at least not safely, but that's just my take on it. Hell, maybe sleep paralysis happens to your body every night, but you only see it if you stay in transit.

Dude i had a similar experience but i felt a shadow figure right next my bed. It said holy spirt 3 times i the roll over and say jesus help over and over in my head. Almost immediately i felt it disappear. I did some research and i found having a lack of b vitamins can cause it but who knows.
